Important Features Missing

Hevy App is good. Except, during use, at the end of my workout, I realized that there was no option to save & update routine if you changed an exercise mid workout. You should have an option that saves values and a separate option that saves values and updates exercise routine. With a busy schedule, I don’t have time to go through and do this with a work around. Also, another annoying thing, is there is no ‘Next’ button to automatically move cursor to succeeding input box when inserting values while working out. You have to manually touch the areas you want to edit. Minor on the surface, but over time, the ‘Next’ button saves me time! Which, if you want to compete, saving customer’s time, is the way to compete in today’s world. Until you fix these issues, you get 1 ⭐️ from me. Add these features and I’ll change my review accordingly.

Best app for tracking workouts so far

When I started working out. I use to not log any of my workouts, then as I was getting frustrated with my progress one of my gym brethren told me I need to be logging all my workouts and trying to get better everyday. That’s when I found… the notes app. It was a grueling process and it became a jumble of numbers and abbreviations that only me and me alone could read. I knew I needed a change, that’s when I found… a bunch of useless apps that made me pay 25$ a month just to put in more than one workout routine. Then finally I found Hevy. After opening the app for the first time I knew I found a winner. I could have up to 3 routines which was perfect for the program I was running. Then I found out that it tracks my progress and my stats for me (which brought me more joy than my pump that day). It had rest timers, barbell calculations, as many reps and sets as you could want, super sets, drop sets, basically everything. The only reason it isn’t a 5 star is because I need to pay 80 dollars for the full version. It would be a 5 star for me if they even brought the price down to $35. Other than the paywall this has been an amazing app.

Excellent workout logger with reasonable pricing

This makes my workouts far easier. The Pro option was only a few bucks a month, and it allows me to add as many custom exercises as I want (in the case that Hevy doesn’t have what I’m looking for, which, admittedly, is quite rare), it lets you superset workouts, and keeps up-to-date records on your PRs for each individual exercise. Amazing app! The one “issue” I have is that the way you log barbell exercises is a bit weird. They ask that you log the whole weight, so if you bench 25 plates each side of a barbell, you have to manually type in “95,” which I feel is silly. It would be far more convenient if you could set your bar weight (in case there are different weights) and then just type in how much you put on ONE side, then Hevy can do the math on how much you actually lifted itself. I’m not the computer here, why’ve I gotta do the calculating?! Minor complaint, though. Plus, I don’t really use the social media aspect, so it serves as a fine self-reminder for how much I did last time.
