Live Chat is terrible/App has flaws

So I was trying to start my fast and DoFastingIntermittentFasting would change the time I was starting it. And this happened a couple of time before I notice it was now asking me my eating time. So I had a couple of fasts that I never completed showing as having taken place but there’s no way to delete them anyways. So I didn’t like DoFastingIntermittentFasting as a result and decided I’ll go back to Zero. Well I went to manage my subscription from DoFastingIntermittentFasting and it goes over to safari and take me to the login page. When I got it log in, it doesn’t log in but instead says “It seems that you purchased your subscription via mobile device”. Uh…yeah!?! No sh** Sherlock. I did. So what? Doesn’t tell me anything than that I must’ve purchased it though the mobile device. Ok I did now let me log in. No, it won’t. No instructions on what to do. I go back to DoFastingIntermittentFasting , I go to App Settings and then hit that blue button “Manage Subscription” and I press it and again, takes me to login on the website and again, I get that stupid message. I just want to make sure my subscription ends after the 6 month plan because I’m not satisfied with DoFastingIntermittentFasting . It’s glitchy. I tied to go to live chat, someone name Florida joins the chat after 15 mins or so of waiting as 2 people are in the queue before me. and then she leaves the chat without a hello. So I have to start a new live chat, I’m really upset now, and another 15 mins with being the only person in the live chat queue. I gave up. The wait is to long.

Start / stop / reset fasting plan Buggy - need fixing

I have been using DoFastingIntermittentFasting for about 5 months to track my fasting which I started around 8 months ago.
Ocassionally I forget to hit stop fasting or start fasting due to being very busy, occupied etc. if the delay in starting / stopping the fast has been long enough that the fast/ eating period has rolled over into the next day and you have missed an entire eating or fasting period, and You have to edit the start or stop time - almost always DoFastingIntermittentFasting becomes unstable. It will ask me to “reset the fasting plan” but if you have had to select reset, often nothing will happen, you will be looking at the timer and waiting for the start / stop option to appear but nothing happens. I have to shut down DoFastingIntermittentFasting and leave it for a few hours when it seems to right itself. Also integration with Apple Watch doesn’t seem to work - I will get the pop up on my watch “tap here” to start or stop the fasting/eating period, but it doesn’t work. Tapping on the watch does nothing.

The last couple of updates have really been horrible

I really liked DoFastingIntermittentFasting. It gives me something to hold myself accountable to. But the last couple of updates have not been good. At first, when I log in sometimes everything is zero and I can’t start/stop a fast. By everything zero I mean my water intake/goal is 0/0. My calories are 0/0. So I have to close all the way out. This last update makes it so when I open DoFastingIntermittentFasting it goes to a sign in page. If I close it and go back into it, it flashes between my fast page and the log in page. 🤞 this newest update fixes all of this. But my biggest complaint is when I add custom foods, I have to keep adding them. And if I manage to find it in the search, I have fill in all the micros again. Very frustrating. But it is free so you can’t really beat that. And I have lost almost 20 pounds since the beginning of March.

Disappointed

Unfortunately, I paid for DoFastingIntermittentFasting and am quite disappointed in it. DoFastingIntermittentFasting logs me out all of the time which is super annoying. I can’t look back to see what fasting times I have had in the past weeks. It only shows a weekly health report for the current week and even that is not correct. For example, today is Monday. It says I logged Monday through Friday last week, but not on Saturday and Sunday and I DID log for every single day. I find logging food to be extremely difficult. Most of the foods I eat aren’t listed. It doesn’t save foods I have entered. DoFastingIntermittentFasting is hard to navigate. I don’t find it motivating. For me…it is a pure waste of money. I am definitely NOT getting what I paid for! Live and learn. Don’t waste your money. Ha!! Not to mention that you have to enter a nickname to be displayed on your review and every one I put is already taken. Why doesn’t THAT surprise me?? 😡

This is currently my 1 app for tracking accountability.

Feedback for the developer: I want the widget to display the preset currently running instead of a specific pre-selected preset, while the application allows to store some presets, allowing only One of the presets to be activated and running at any time. Also, a function to automatically start the next quick after a set number of minutes after the previous quick end may be useful for some advanced users. I also want a quick end confirmation function with secondary confirmation, because I accidentally touch the stop button too often.

Good concept

Love the ability to be reminded of windows and be able to track both food and water. However it occasionally freezes and I have to close completely and reopen sometimes more than once. Also hate how you changed the water to preset volumes….update have used DoFastingIntermittentFasting for 7 months…love the concept. It tired of the freezing and reset problems. E.g. I can start my fasting at 8 pm and the next morning it says a completely different start time. Recently it changed my start weight and calorie goal. Continue to hate the water volume options even since the recent update. Still often freezes making it impossible to start or stop fasting. Have to close and reopen usually several times. Canceling my subscription this month. Too frustrating.

Love it!! BUT…

I absolutely love the 3/4 features of tracking (water intake, steps walked, and weight tracker) however logging food is actually pretty difficult because there is not a huge selection of items pre-loaded into DoFastingIntermittentFasting . So every time I want to log a meal, I have to manually put everything in unlike another very popular app where there are millions of meals and items that are easily “loggable”. That is really my only complaint. I love the fasting tracker feature as it really keeps me on track with my fasting window. I love the ability to have a widget for my Home Screen of my phone to be able to quickly see how far I am into my eating or fasting window!

By

Very easy to use .

Quick start, quick end, you can track your weight, you can track your appearance, is a very good application. I find that people complain about too many advertisements. The ad pops up when you go to the next page but you just need to press the button and continue if you don't like the ad, there's no time limit you have to see the ad like on Facebook. It's there and if it doesn't care you just need to press the button and it will disappear. I would recommend this application

Unreliable at best

I’ve been using DoFastingIntermittentFasting for about two weeks. It has crashed completely and logged me out four different times now, twice losing the start or end time of a fast. This is worst if you happen to be in a parking garage or elevator with no data connection. Once you do get logged back in, there is no way to manually enter the data for a fast or change a record once it is saved. The articles and advice are blandly generic and what info they contain is easy to find in a decent book or blog. I just wanted a simple app to track a basic 16:8 program, instead I get frustration and constant emailed ads to buy extremely expensive (even after their “discounts”) supplements. Worst money I’ve put into an app.

Happy to be losing weight...😊

I lost 7.4 pounds in one week, and I haven’t felt a lot of hunger pains... The program really does work, then the next day after the beginning of the Second week I lost .8 pounds, which is now 8.4 pounds in one week one day...(awesome) The only thing is my health report quit working I’ve done everything it said to do, but it hasn’t come back. So it’s only recorded five days of my fasting,Where it has been eight days so far...But I’m going to keep doing it, because so far it’s working for me...

By

I like the new layout

I stopped using this for a while because there were so many times I pressed the crash stop button because it was in the same position as the button to go to the main screen of the phone. Having the start button above has solved this problem and I'm super happy. Also like that I can track more than one fake stage in separate tabs and lists ... I use one tab to track my past and one for my feeds.

By

Interesting but it has some bug misses

This is the first IF App I’ve used. Issues I have… entering food the calories & macros don’t save so you have to input the data all over again for the same meal. The water has blocks of amounts to track so you can put in 30oz you have to put in 32 oz. There is not Apple Watch app. If you find it let me know cause I really want that.
Thinks I love are the count down timer. Integration with my exercise apps although it doesn’t provide much information like “walk 1 more mile to lose a pound this week” I probably should have tried a free app first.

Paid features are wonky

I am a paid subscriber and was really excited to use DoFastingIntermittentFasting . The first few weeks were great, up until I started updating DoFastingIntermittentFasting .

DoFastingIntermittentFasting has trouble saving fasting/eating times even after I have saved it. Sometimes, I will come back into DoFastingIntermittentFasting to remind myself what time I can start eating… and low and behold, DoFastingIntermittentFasting did not save my fasting or it will log me out.

I keep restarting DoFastingIntermittentFasting to refresh it but it is getting to the point that I can’t use this. I hope they make a more stable new release soon.

Really like so far.

Make sure it is needed! Tried some leading vegetarian apps. This does not need an account: 1010. Track past weight history. Before after photos. Setup repeatedly lasting 16: 8, 24, 36 ... Inspirational quotes. Customize the wallpaper for more inspiration. I want two things: Change the widget font color and double countdown - how long I have been fasting and when it's fast. Can only subtract, but a simple feature to add.

Just Updated, Needs More

Started using app a little over a week ago and paid $$$ dearly for it! Has “sorta” helped me stay on track. However, no ability to scan bar codes on products like some Keto apps that cost MUCH less! And manual time sets (like if real life is happening & you forget to hit “End Fast”) don’t work. I set my End Fast time to 7:40pm, looked this morning, says 9:40pm even tho it took 3 tries to get it to STAY at 7:40pm. So not accurate there. Have decided to keep it full 30 days then reassess. Will update review then.

I want a quick way to keep track of my fast instead of having to manually calculate in my head or us

DoFastingIntermittentFasting does that and much more. I was able to add a note to myself, add a photo before and my weight and keep track of my stats. I especially love motivational quotes every time I log in. I have shared this application with many of my keto friends who are doing a fast group (26 of us) and it's great!

By

I'm looking for something simple that I can start quickly and start the timer .

Something I really like about it, if I forget to set the timer, I can go back and change it when I actually start. They send me great quotes every day to motivate me. Not too many ads or annoying things make me disappointed about other apps. It is simple and intuitive, and it does exactly what I need.

By

does what it’s supposed to do, I guess

I’ve had to re-login several times, a couple times while using DoFastingIntermittentFasting . It will just log me out for no reason. I’ve also had to reset the times of my fasting several times. It’s not easy to track calories or food. I’m actually using another app to do that and they don’t communicate. It’s great for water and steps tracking. And I liked the articles.

By

Simple to use and easy to edit if you forgot to start or stop .

It would be great to synchronize with smart scales & fitbit or other smartwatches. The layout is easy to follow, and can edit the wallpaper. Still haven't figured out how to upload photos before after comparison. Overall, the easiest easiest I have found to use. Consider going with the upgraded version ...

Not a great app

I’ve used a LOT of dieting and food tracking apps over the years. I was really hopeful this would be a good app because I’m about 3 months into fasting and decided to take things up a notch. The recipes are great. Tracking my fasts is such a neat idea with the widget. Except that DoFastingIntermittentFasting is terrible at tracking my fasts. Great idea. Needs a lot of work. Unfortunately I wasted a month subscription on something that doesn’t work well. I’m am fully committed to 24 hour fasts now, so I guess that’s a plus. I’m going back to MyFitnessPal. So much better all around.

Needs Tweaking

My main issues with DoFastingIntermittentFasting were the lack of recipes and not being able to track my meals/calories for the day. The meal and snack suggestions barely varies from day to day, which would have had me eating the same thing over and over again. As for the calorie tracking, it would be awesome if you were able to click on the recipe or snack that you choose and it would load to a calorie tracker that would also allow you to add calories that are not from recipes on DoFastingIntermittentFasting .
This has so much potential, just a few changes would really make a big difference. I glanced at the exercises, which looked easy to follow for a beginner like me and a great way to get someone up and moving to start out. The information provided about intermittent fasting was good, especially for someone who is just starting to research and learn about it.

That being said...
I contacted the developer immediately to cancel and request a refund. They responded quickly and after a few emails they gave me a full refund, which was put in my account within 1 day. They were polite, helpful, and timely with their correspondence and correction.

Useful

I’m 3 weeks into my fasting program and I want to tell you how it’s going. I use dofasting app to help me. So the first three days of fasting were bad for me. I was thinking not eating for 16 hours will just kill me, I felt quite weak and all the time thought about food. I was about to quit and ask for a refund but decided I will give it a full week. I’m so glad I did that because it then got easier and easier day by day. It actually became the opposite of what I was feeling in the first days. Contrary to what your intuition would tell you, I generally started feeling less hungry during my eating windows. It’s not like I lost my appetite or something, I just wasn’t eating soo much like I normally would. I guess it has to do something with IF balancing out the sugar levels. Now I also feel more energetic especially during the first hours of the day. So I cut my coffee intake a bit which is a pleasant benefit I didn’t expect.

Horrible, Horrible Customer Service! Do not purchase!

I stupidly ordered DoFastingIntermittentFasting because I was super excited about this program but then thought I should contact my doctor to see if it would be a healthy choice. About an hour later from purchasing, I wrote customer service to tell them I couldn’t do the program and they responded that they cannot refund me. Even though I hadn’t even used DoFastingIntermittentFasting beyond putting some basic info in. I can send a doctors note proving that it was not recommended. Again, my fault but thought this company would be understanding and refund me since only ONE hour had passed since I purchased. Check with your doctor first to see if this will work for your requirements. This company is in it for your money and not for your health...very obvious.

Update: They refund some customers and not others or give partial refunds. DO NOT PURCHASE DoFastingIntermittentFasting. Too many bad reviews. Even if you purchase and try to cancel an hour later they won’t honor it. I don’t even open DoFastingIntermittentFasting , read the emails or utilize it whatsoever. I will be writing on every site never to use DoFastingIntermittentFasting.

Eh...

I do like the concept but there are a few things that need to be added.
1.) I wish the meals were more diverse. Having some Chinese, Thai, Ethiopian, Nigerian, Japanese, Indian, Mexican, etc. recipes would, I feel, lessen ones likely to go out and eat unhealthy.
2.) I wish there was some sort of journal. A way to track calories if we use our own recipes. Since DoFastingIntermittentFasting gives us a suggested daily caloric intake range it would be nice to be able to calculate if we are staying within it. It would also be nice to be able to track what we eat to see what works best for each individual each week.
3.) I wish the workout section was more customizable. So we could add any disabilities or injuries as needed so everyone can work out to their own personal abilities.

Unfortunately without those additions it’s really a bit useless since an alarm on your phone will tell you when to start and stop eating for free. And for the price ($11/month) I really expected more. Also the price is a bit ridiculous. I paid essentially $11/month but I had to sign up for three months so I paid $33 to get into DoFastingIntermittentFasting and find out it was disappointing.
I don’t think it’s a bad or terrible app it’s just a useless one. An expensive useless one. If things were added to DoFastingIntermittentFasting to make it more interactive it might be worth a $5-8 ($11is still too much) monthly membership but people should be allowed to pay monthly. Overall it’s “eh”. Don’t really recommend.

Recommendations

What can I say. I’m a Texas man. I love a good steak and I love BBQ. My doctor doesn’t share the same love with me tho. I got tested for my cholesterol levels last year and they were not too good. This meant a strict diet, but I just couldn’t. I need juicy meat in my life. Well intermittent fasting apparently balances out cholesterol levels, so I thought I will see if it actually works.I started doing intermittent fasting like this: 5 days per week I eat according to their meal recommendations (sometimes eating a bit bigger portions, as I don’t want to lose much weight) and 2 days per week I enjoy whatever I want on my eating windows. But I always fast for 16 hours every day. So it worked. I got another cholesterol test and the levels of bad cholesterol have decreased more than I thought they will. Gotta keep on going now

Deserve 5*

I got DoFastingIntermittentFasting maybe 4 months ago. Back then I only did it for two weeks and realised it’s not for me (I got headaches and my sleeping cycle was weird). Luckily, a month ago I met a friend who is also into fasting nowadays. she consulted me and told me to not be scared, as you have to give your body some time to adjust. I mean it’s normal - we eat so much and so often, our bodies are just always loaded. She also recommended me to start with a shorter fast. That’s what I did. I’m on 14-hours fast now and I’m going to switch on 16 soon. 14 hours of fasting maybe isn’t a lot (considering some people do OMAD), but I still managed to lose 5 lbs. It’s also thanks to the meal recommendations I used. So would I recommend dofasting? Yes! Just don’t be scared to give it some more time and have a slow start.

By

It’s really nice

I started intermittent fasting after my friend recommended it to me. She does it without an app, just sets the timer. I decided to get an app to do it the right way and I came across dofasting. It could been any other app I guess but I’m happy with my purchase. So anyway, what I want to share is that my progress is faster than my friends and I will tell you why. I know intermittent fasting is about when to eat not what to eat bla bla BUT it’s also important to get all the right nutrition because you only have 8 hours to collect all the needed macros. So I almost always followed the meal recommendations they gave me and I lost twice as much weight as my friend. It’s an unplanned experiment I guess. The point is that it’s really nice there are apps that guide you through the eating process.

A scam - the app is just a timer

I should’ve known better when after I purchased the basic plan DoFasting immediately tried to upsell me on four different “necessary” add-ons (first red flag). I declined them all, at which point they offered them at a lower price for the whole bundle (second red flag). When I got to DoFastingIntermittentFasting , I found out that I’d paid nearly $50 for a glorified timer; it tells you when to start fasting and when to stop. You don’t need an app for that (third red flag). The second time I tried to log in, DoFastingIntermittentFasting hadn’t retained my password and the password reset links didn’t work, so I contacted customer service (a generic email address). Two auto-replies and five days later, I have not been contacted by an actual person or received any assistance. This company is based in Vilnius (fourth red flag) and my bank flagged the original transaction (fifth); I should have listened. I reported them as a scam and deleted DoFastingIntermittentFasting . Don’t get suckered; fasting is legitimate if done correctly but DoFastingIntermittentFasting is not.

By

Truly a Scam

Unfortunately DoFastingIntermittentFasting really doesn’t do anything. I wish I had done more research before I purchased the year membership. I was hoping for more support and guidance but all the features are things I could easily do on my own. The supposedly unique information on DoFastingIntermittentFasting is not unique at all and is all over the internet easily accessible. The fasting clock often does not even have the correct time of the day.

I asked for a refund just 3 weeks after purchasing DoFastingIntermittentFasting . The whole time I was having issues with the inaccuracies and not finding it useful. I was told no because they only give refunds during the first 14 days despite acknowledging that the fasting timer, (the one thing DoFastingIntermittentFasting is supposed to do), didn’t work.

Companies that make great products always give refunds because they know their products speak for themselves and they can stand behind the quality. I can see why this is not the case with them. I truly feel scammed.

Thank the DoFasting team

Hello everyone! I want to thank the DoFasting team for being such a help. Whenever I would have questions about the way I should eat or if I can make any replacements in the recipe, I would just contact the customer service team and get the answer so quick I really felt this personalized experience. Overall I’m having an amazing experience with the product and I wanted to share my success with you. I went from 180lbs to 140lbs in 5 months. For someone who has always had problems with losing weight, these numbers are amazing. I’m happy with how much I weigh right now, so I might try to change my fasting window from 16 hours to 14 hours and see if I can keep my current weight in place!

By

Decent concept, mostly useless app

I think they have the right idea, but DoFastingIntermittentFasting is pretty useless. For example, there’s only one setting; When your fasting window starts. There’s no way I could find to change the length of your fasting window. The recipes are quite limited and redundant. There’s also no easy way to change your subscription.
At one point I started to believe it was just a scam because there is so little value in the application and they ask for a sizable chunk of money and commitment up front.
Frankly, I’m not impressed. Just a few little things could make DoFastingIntermittentFasting so much more functional. Needs work.
On the positive side, DoFastingIntermittentFasting does create something of a rhythm that can serve as a structure for forming good dietary habits. There are some decent recipe ideas. DoFastingIntermittentFasting could be really valuable with some additional functionality. Right now, it’s a tad underwhelming s

Thank you guys!

I started intermittent fasting to prepare for my sisters’ wedding. She was always skinnier than me (not that I’m competing) and could always eat whatever and still stay skinny. And my metabolism is so slow.. In order for me to control my weight, I would always have to be on a diet. Almost 5 years ago I just gave up and gained a lot of weight… But 4 months before my sisters’ wedding I decided to give DoFastingIntermittentFasting a try when I saw an add on the internet. Now I’m 40 lbs down and just can’t be happier! Best part about intermittent fasting is that you don’t feel like you’re on a diet at all. The first weeks were hard but then I just started to feel better and better every day. Thank you guys!

Hope to keep on going!

I started using DoFasting about 2 months ago. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m still really happy with my progress. I follow the meal plan and exercise recommendations just the way DoFastingIntermittentFasting tells me to (I just do extra cardio sometimes) and I feel better than ever before. I’m also not much of a cook so I really appreciate that the recipes are so simple. What was really weird for me is that after not eating for 16 hours I would be less hungry than when I would have a random eating pattern. I know I can spoil myself during the eating window, but I dont even want to. My average loss is like 6 pounds per week now. Hope to keep on going!

Useful

Dofasting is a great app. I started using it a month ago. I’m really motivated! I follow the meal recommendations and do an exercise routine daily. I’m on 14 hour fast so far but will soon extend it to 16. I lost 5 lbs so far and my goal is to lose 30. What I noticed about intermittent fasting is that it’s a actually really helping with my appetite control. Sometimes in the evening I feel really hungry and think about how hard it’s gonna be to not eat in the morning (I open my eating window at 10) but to my surprise, I never wake up feeling super hungry. I can see where the weight loss is coming from. I no longer consume the calories I don’t need at all.

Don’t Pay For It

If this were a free app, I would say at least 4 stars. It would be OK as free. However, at a discount I paid $66+ for a year thinking it would unlock all the health aids to help me reach my goals. It has 250 or so recipes, many being snacks such fruits or yogurt, so not recipes at all. There is no option to customize your meal plan. Even worse, if you’re using a recipe, you better make sure DoFastingIntermittentFasting isn’t closed or your phone screen goes to sleep. You have to go searching for that recipe again as it closes itself. I would suggest using other free apps or even lower cost paid apps that don’t have a refund policy that doesn’t exist, which means they basically steal your money, even if you find DoFastingIntermittentFasting is useless for the price you pay.

Basically just don’t do it. So not worth it.
