Quite update ruined the game

The game use to be very F2P, but the devs have quietly updated the game to make more money. The market use to refresh every time you opened it. This lead to people quickly buying your items, you getting money, and freeing up space for more items. Recently the game was updated so that the market would refresh every 5 minutes or you could refresh it instantly like it use to for 2 bucks. This has lead to a huge clog of items. It now takes a full 2-3 days for your items to be bought, which slows the game play to a crawl, especially if you have a lot of items you want to keep. Myself having a bunch of useful items I want to keep, has kept me from playing the game or forking over real money to constantly expand my storage

Great game but…

I was charged $9.99 for the Diamond Fund but did not receive it or any other package beyond a one-time purchase of Global Bucks. But for that issue, I would have rated the game 5 stars because it’s lots of fun. Great design!

I’m not in a high-spending demographic, so the company is probably slow-walking their response. Nevertheless, I am hopeful that someone will provide me with $8.99 worth of rewards.

I realize that your profits come from people purchasing global bucks and bonus packages. It’s the same strategy printer companies use when they sell their printers at or below cost, knowing that the real money comes from selling ink. It’s legal and profitable. On the other hand, how ethical is it to use behavioral reinforcement to increase someone’s responses so that they will purchase more stuff. Companies manipulate the odds of winning online card games in theso a person will chase after their early wins. The longer they spend staring at their screens, the more likely they’ll buy something.

What you’re doing with Global City is brilliant, After the customer tastes early, rapid growth, you bottleneck their production and offer quick fixes that will induce them into spending real money to move up. You’re not coercing anyone to spend their money.

But what the hey, people pay big bucks to amusement parks for fake thrills. I have done so. And I enjoy this game more than waiting an hour in line at a Disney park.

Games alright

I just hate how you have to literally pay to win. The game gets boring after you buy one or two things and then your just like I’m done playing cause you don’t wanna spend money. I feel as it should be easier to get stuff and not take so long to make the stuff in the factories. I have the patience to wait for my builds and creating stuff but sometimes it gets to the point where it just takes to long. but for others it can just be annoying and mostly delete the game after 2 or 3 days. Also the maximum cap for pricing in the market is way to high. I saw sleepers which are the carpenter wood for 14,000 gold, like that is absurd no one should have to pay that much for something your gonna upgrade in like 5 seconds.

good game core, global exchange needs fix

This has a lot going for it, including a large number of buildings, plenty of things to construct without needing to spend real money, and a good variety of quests to complete. Unfortunately, however, the global exchange doesn’t work the way it should. Most of the time when I try to buy something, all I get is an “item has already been purchased” or “no items available for purchase” message. This has slowed my progress to a crawl, because the only other way to get certain items is randomly from quests, and it’s very infrequent to get some of the ones I want. Having an option to automatically purchase a particular item the next time it’s available would be much better. I did have some fun with this game, though.

Loads of fun, love this game.

I love this game. I can spend hours playing it. I have a few suggestions for the developers to consider. Some of the older buildings and other structures are impossible to complete because the tokens are not available. I would like or suggest that you make all the tokens available as a reward for completing airport, train, and ship orders. I also have a lot of problems with loading the game. Several times when I try loading the game I get a message saying “connection error”. I can have this message for days before I am able to play. It’s frustrating and makes me wish that we could play the game without Wi-Fi.

Very Addictive and Fun

This game is basically an updated version of Big Business HD (remember that game back in 2015?) with the capabilities of today’s iOS systems. Money is never required (to my knowledge) to progress throughout the game, which makes it a heck of a lot better than similar games like Airport City. Projects do take time, but are not extremely difficult to achieve.

I looked at the city of the number one ranked player in the world on the leaderboard, and it appears that the Ring Road hits a dead end at sea before it can hit the lower island, as is the case with other high-ranked cities. Are there future updates in progress to expand? Also, there are TONS of land spaces that are not available for purchase or to place buildings, whereas that issue was minimal in Big Business HD, which was basically this game’s predecessor. Also, the ring road hits a dead end at the mountains near the game boundary, is this intentional or, again, are there future plans that’ll be available in later updates?

Solid game, but there’s always room for improvement!

Fun game

Updating my review. The game is still fun but I hate how the current storage system works. I hate how certain items take up space when you don’t have the option in receiving them. For example office supplies and blue prints. I seems like my storage is full with only 10% of items I gather the rest is all items I can’t use right away or have no choice in receiving. The worse part is that items to upgrade your storage aren’t easy to obtain. Not very difficult but difficult enough to temp you with using the cash option.

I would really like to see and update on the storage system where it only counts items you’ve gathered or manufactured.

Great but. . . . . . . A LOT MORE SPACE NEEDED

The game is going great. But I am running into an issue. I am at the limit of my perimeter for building buildings. And when new events come up, I want to add more buildings to the consist. However, as I look at this, there is nowhere else for me to build. I see that more things will continue to pop up, but what happens to those fenced in areas? Also, by seeing the advertising again, when will things like the stations expand, the airport expands more, and what about that launchpad? I think the developers need to move a bit more swiftly. . . . . Especially with giving us more space to build these event buildings. So please, hop to it, devs. You’ve got some work to do. Good luck.

Too hard to expand

OK, I’m fairly new player. I’m only on like level 17 or 18 but I’m getting very very discouraged right now and I’m not sure I want to keep the game and I’m trying to keep hanging in there. I can’t hardly build anything when my storage is so full. I sell things but then I need those things. And I just can’t get ahead and I’m getting just very discouraged with it but I really like this game a lot when I play it. But I keep going in there and I can’t do anything but try to sell some things so I can make some thing. I don’t know if anybody else is having this problem or what I am doing wrong. So I go in the game and spend about a minute and go back out because I can’t do anything.

Best city-building game so far

This is the best city building game I’ve played, and I’ve tried quite a few. I like that you don’t have spend tons of money to get started, things don’t take forever to produce, and there’s a place to “purchase” needed items. That said, there are a few things that could stand some improvement. 1) There needs to be a benefit to joining a union. I’d like to see the capability of selling/trading goods with union members. 2) There needs to be an edit mode so you can move thing around and see what’s behind buildings. While in edit mode you should be able to click on something and it’ll either show you the building or tell what it is. 3) At first I thought the game was deleting items from my inventory, items like windows and doors that take a long time to build from start to finish. I submitted a support ticket and was told to video it. Well, I don’t know how to do that. After paying closer attention, I found that what would happen is that I’d set these things up to run while I’m not logged in. And when I returned to the game everything I had scheduled to run was gone. Not only that, but the materials used in the production wasn’t returned to inventory. The only way to get these items is to let the game run all day )which doesn’t help at night) or buy speed-ups. This is a huge deterrent and I’m almost to the point of giving up on it.

Great city building and manufacturing game!

I have been playing this game for over a year and it has held my attention for all this time. There are a lot of structures to build and it never really feels like you need to wait days upon days to complete a task. Most building tasks are less than half a day. I have not spent any money on this game and it has kept me entertained. Yes there are ads but it never feels overly intrusive compared to other games. Great job overall. As a suggestion there should be the ability to build multiple factories - this game generally limits to one.

9.5/10

Yes I would rate this game very high considering the amount of time I’ve been playing it for and the experience I’ve had. However, just a few small things I would like a change in. Firstly, I would like it if you could trade resources within your union, because I am forced to put items in the exchange and they might be bought up before members in my union can buy the item if they are something valuable, like slabs or aero blueprints. I would suggest something like the token exchange in the union. I would also like it if you could give any amount of tokens per transfer, and also request tokens more than once per 8 hours. It would also be nice to see some more events, and larger overall territory, more structures, and personally, another airport or a larger airport just because it’s one of my fav structures in the game. Than you devs please implement these changes as soon as you can! Definitely would recommend this game, but it will take some patience to get through.

Global City

This game is fun. Great for taking my mind off of things and building up my own little city. They make it easy to earn what you need to build. They don’t throw ads at you at all and I haven’t had to buy anything because of long wait times. I do buy stuff because of their helpful cheap deals. Now on the downside I do have several unfinished buildings that I started during their promotional times that I wasn’t able to finish during the promotion and now I’m not to sure how to finish them. Their just half built and seem like they would make my city look real good too. Do I have to wait a year before I can finish them?

I’m addicted!

I know it’s not a healthy thing to say something like that but I am honestly addicted to this game. I won’t lie or deny it. If you’re looking for a game that gives you a lot to do and let’s you show off your creative side then this is for you. Aside from creativity and keeping you super busy, it lets you be in total control which is great for people who want a little control in their life. Career not going the way you thought it would? Not getting what you want in your relationship? Denied an auto loan for that sweet ride you wanted? Well, that may be but when you’re playing Global City; You’re the mayor and the mayor always gets what he/she wants. You may have to grind it out but, you’ll get there…eventually!

Fun but be overwhelming if you aren’t careful

Much like a real city, Global City always has competing events and problems clamoring for your attention, and never enough warehouse space to tackle them all at once. (One hint is to leave completed resources in the factory and only take what you are going to immediately use.) I love the graphics and once I stopped trying to do everything at once I’m having fun balancing the tension between competing priorities. This game makes you think and plan a strategy to follow. If you don’t finish a timed event like building a famous skyscraper, you’ll have another chance later on. The only big problem I have now is that there is no way to talk to other players if you aren’t already in the same organization.

Great game

Love this game, play it everyday, unlike other games of this type it’s very easy to expand your city without having ridiculous things to do like having 100 city bucks and or thousands upon thousands of coins in order to upgrade and at that making it harder for you to get said coins. This game makes it easy and enjoyable and attainable for everyone.

one complaint I do have which won’t affect the 5 stars is I wish I could zoom out a lot more than allowed because some buildings hit the ceiling and disappear because you can’t zoom out far enough to see what you’ve accomplished. Also a concern I may be missing is the buildings say they produce 10,000/day or whatever but I never see my coins increase unless I get money from sales or promos. Weird.

Camera angle and amenities, energy, water

Love the game right now only problem I have is I wish you could turn the camera angle because sometimes you can’t see where to put roads or amenities and such. Also it asks you for amenities and energy and water and roads and such and you don’t have enough space in every grid for a house or warehouse or whatever you are placing there along with amenities and water and energy. I am always low on those things. I’ve even tried putting the electrical stuff in the same grid the water in same grid and all my numbers would go even lower showing I haven’t got enough so I’m not sure what to do about that but as of right now that’s my only problem. I do enjoy it though right now it’s about the only game I play

Really fun game...

There needs to be some changes made.

1. Be able to dump products that are not in demand. Meaning I just got the ability to have water blueprints, I have something like 25 in my inventory. They are not used yet and not in demand so I can’t even sell them waste of my inventory. Just delete them

2. When buying items in the global market the lag time while you are switching to the other players city is super slow. Be nice if we did not have to switch to buy the item presented, it speed up the process.

3. If you have added something to be mined/built if your queue has not started building the item you should be able to remove it, I accidentally mined copper and that is a product I can’t use yet.

4. Would like the ability to have a reverse auction. Meaning I want the tape measure and I am willing to pay xxx coins for one, but the request out to the would.

5. Now that my city is getting larger it seems like I don’t get the items come across anymore to make my city larger like the tape measure and the other devices. I still have lots of plots of land to buy.

6. Can the inventory get larger than 95? seems that is maxed out. Can we have the game allow us to build a second inventory building?

I really like this game and it does not take very long to build items which makes it fun and keeps me coming back to it.

Thank you

Game of patience and tension over resources.

This is not a game for everyone, but it really suits my gaming style well. Basically it’s a nonstop slow tension between competing forces that you need to balance… you have very limited warehouse space, yet you need to store lots of supplies or tokens or resource cards in order to purchase upgrades or land or… more warehouse space. What I appreciate is that with patience you do make progress, and you can do so without spending real money. Of course, spending money will relieve the tension and help progress faster. As I said, it’s not a game for everyone… you will watch ads - a lot of them. For me, the ads are also quite repetitive, too. But the rewards from ads are at least significant. My other criticism is that ultimately you’re on the same development track as everybody… there isn’t room for much creativity except for how you arrange buildings in the central areas. All in, I like this game a lot.

Really fun game

Nice game to play when there’s small snippets of free time.
I would like the developers to consider being able to individually load shipping items. Collecting them in inventory for shipment can be taxing on inventory space and then I tend to use parts of the allocated stock elsewhere. Being able to immediately “spend” it on the item, structure or shipment would be nice.
It’s interesting to see how other’s allocate the space to grow their cities. I look forward to seeing where the developers will take this game.
The only drawback I’ve encountered is that you need to pay to advance. If you try to advance without buy your way forward this will be a long and tedious game.
