Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding an overcharge that occurred during a taxi ride today. On the 26 of January, I took a Yallago through the app in Damascus. The fare communicated to me was 40,000 old Syrian pounds. However, due to the recent currency change, I mistakenly paid using the new currency and gave the driver 8 bills of 500 new Syrian pounds, totaling 4,000 new pounds, which is equal to 400,000 old Syrian pounds. This means I paid ten times the actual price by mistake. I kindly request your assistance in the following: Identifying the driver if possible using time, route, or vehicle details Processing a refund of the overpaid amount and leave it in my account which correspond to 360,000 old pounds equivalent. Ensuring drivers clearly communicate prices in both old and new currency during the transition period.
