I downloaded Unitea for the Room Service festival and didn’t really know what to expect. Unitea is awesome! It’s meant to be used by festivals as well as to stream artist music. When you play music in Unitea , you earn karma towards that artist! Artists then have the ability to post rewards and merch that you can redeem for karma. The concept is great and it’s super easy to earn points by joining a crew and sharing the songs.

Now, Unitea is still very much in the beginning of its development and there are quite a few bugs and other quirks. The syncing of Spotify/Apple Music will take some time when you download Unitea , the notifications inside Unitea can get in the way of when you’re typing a message, and sometimes the pages don’t load first try. These are all very minor things in my eyes, as Unitea is still very much usable and works very well. The developers are also aware of the kinks and are actively working on them! I had an issue trying to redeem an award and I reached out on Instagram and they were super responsive and helped me fix the issue.

Definitely give Unitea a try! There will be growing pains but if you love music and free stuff there’s no reason not to join this app!

I like the idea of being able to connect with other people in the music scene and being able to earn rewards. But I can’t even figure out how to earn rewards or easily find my karma score. I go to my karma and it shows other artists’ karma?? What does their karma even mean? I only can find mine if I click on a reward to see my balance, can’t see it in my wallet. It keeps saying I’ve earned 50 karma and my karma score never updates past 78. It crashes a lot too. Every time I go to my profile it wants me to update it even though I’ve saved my info 5 times it still doesn’t save.. the user experience is just really confusing and Unitea is too glitchy right now. I hope the issues get fixed because I think it could be a great app.

Although I really love the concept, I won a hoodie and spent a lot of time trying to win the hoodie because it’s freezing here where I live. I got an email on both Unitea and to my email stating they would reach out to me to get it all worked out and I haven’t heard anything since.
Unitea is very glitchy, I had to close Unitea numerous times and restart which made winning the hoodie that much more hard.
I will continue to use Unitea , even with the glitchyness I just want my hoodie. :(

UPDATED: I reached out to them on Instagram they were so so very kind and sweet and made sure my hoodie was sent out right away! Love Unitea!! Customer service is amazing!

A place where you can like music and make playlists like on Soundcloud and Apple Music

Karma notifications go away quicker

We should be able to click people’s profile from thr chat/groups and should be able to unlike a comment

We should be able to replay songs from notification screen

Rewards and festivals should be in descending order of when they were posted or are gonna happen/expire

We should be able to access through a computer

Sometimes playlists glitch and wont show songs, like Getter’s Visceral album for example

Make it universally easier to add contacts & add friends through group in our profile like on radiate (application)

I like having a playlist too. I like to shuffle. That would be nice.

Unitea is so great for music lovers like myself. Getting rewarded just to listen to music is DOPE. Plus it works when you don’t have Unitea open.

Gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars because I used my karma to claim my reward and never got it. It’s been months. Contacted the team two or three times and they said they would contact me via email for my shipping details (which they never did).

Redeemed three rewards before DB Campinn and got to meet three amazing djs and screw around a bit. Concept is great, they're working on bugs, when it gets a few more features and more stability it'll easily be 5 star worthy. Requires Spotify premium.

Feature idea: be able to play "XYZ radio" from Unitea as that's how I mostly use Spotify.

Can't wait to see where this goes!

Downloaded for room service fest, great idea to really connect artists with their fans. While there’s definitely some development and changes that can be made as Unitea develops and grows, this has the potential to be the future face of music. Already shipped the merch I earned by listening, and it’ll be arriving soon!

Unitea won't let you sign up with a password Auto generated from Apple. It looks like they are limiting the password length to something really short, like 12 - 16 characters. That's a big red flag the engineering team doesn't know what they're doing. This stopped me from creating an account.

I want to use Unitea, but this needs to be fixed.

Love the concept of getting points just for listening to music! I wish this existed sooner! I had an awesome experience at Dirtybird CampInn 2021 and had so much fun getting to do interactive experiences with some of my favorite artists at the festival.

Free things for listening to music and sharing music with friends?! YES. I love the this app community. Joined during Dirtybird camp out last year and have enjoyed Room Service and now summer eyes and won some awesome Merch!! Can’t wait to see what these guys are doing WHEN FESTIVALS ARE BACK!!

this app has been finding really unique ways to involve artists and connect them with fans that love them... I see this platform really bribing fans even closer to their favorites artists just by doing what they love and being rewarded for it.

Unitea is horrible. Using it for Groove Cruise meet and greet entries. Crashes every 2 seconds. Pop ups saying “something went wrong” when trying to enter any contest. Photo showing my karma being double what’s needed to enter contest then when it did “work” it says I have 0 karma even tho the exact same screen is showing the well over 1k karma for that DJ. AWFUL and ruining the contest entries and experience!!!!!

This is exactly what music fans need, a way to be incentivized for expressing themselves through music and essentially being Superfans. It’s almost like an app for MTV. I wish this existed when I was growing up .

I was getting karma for every song i listened to until i hit about 1320 karma then songs stopped giving me karma. I've tried restarting Unitea , redownloading and using other devices but nothing works. The devs need to fix their buggy app or just take it down. It was a 5/5 app until it stopped working and I realized that everything i did was pointless in the end.

Unitea was easy to use although the points lagged but that was bc so many ppl on at once. Overall good experience and I was able to claim two rewards!!

So excited Unitea finally launched. Already loving having it downloaded and it’s a very innovative idea/ platform. Can’t wait to use it or see what’s next from these guys!

this app is the first ive seen to actually reward me for listening to what I already love to listen to. such a sick concept, and can’t wait to see Unitea in the masses.

Great app. I really like the messaging feature. I hope they add a Tapback feature and integrate other messaging features. Can’t wait til they have more rewards

What a half baked price of ish. Every screen on Unitea has problems accepting input. Signing up for an account with a valid password a nightmare. UI flows force you to update your profile but even after adding all of your profile information won’t allow you to update the info because some field is not set correctly. Ughhhhhhhhh!!!

Promoted in college and this concept of getting to help promote and meet artist and share experiences is so amazing. Joox let’s you get connect all around.

I’ve never come across an app so perfect for sharing music and sharing your love for music!

Took 5 mins to register because it doesn’t save Apple secure password recommend. Idk if they are being slammed by traffic but most pages won’t load. Scrolling doesn’t work properly on festivals pages. Privacy policies are really bad.

The best app for rewarding fans for their loyalty to artists! Excited to start cashing in those Karma points!

When I open Unitea it says “Syncing Karma” continuously. Help???
