A good idea, but asks for money immediately after you select a translation.
And I am 100% against filters for adults when conversing with an AI in the privacy of my home. That I am paying for.
But the number one reason I cannot recommend is the UI and overall design is very basic and poor.
And it's expensive.
Anyway, I would will not be paying for an app that seems half- baked, and not ready yet.

Unfortunately, this app glitches every time I start a lesson. Great concept but poor execution, but I’m excited to see where this can go when they fix the UX.
Also, the lessons jumped right into speaking Spanish without translating what you have to say. Luckily, I know a little Spanish so I was able to understand but I wouldn’t recommend the Novice lessons to actual novice speakers.

The Hallo app is —BY FAR— one of the BEST apps to get English tutoring from or to teaching English from!
It’s Instamatch feature’s connection has improved TREMENDOUSLY and I planning on tutoring with it a lot!
However, I’ve recently been trying to reach out to to Hallo Support about “monthly requirements for Hallo tutors,” because I wasn’t sure if Hallo teacher requirements also apply to tutor.
My account still works.
I believe it’s been downgraded to a student account because all of the normal communication features work, which is why I wanted to asked if Hallo tutors and teachers monthly requirements are the same.
I did receive some money for the first Instamatch I conducted some months ago, so I know Hallo pays out. So, that’s not an issue.
My current problem is that “not one of my emails were replied to.” I didn’t even receive an automatic email.
I’m not sure of the exact number, but I believe I contacted Hallo Support about 5 times by email, spaced apart. So, I should have gotten one reply by now
I promise I’ll fix my 2 star review after I get a reply from Hallo support, because you all really deserve 5!
I just want some help with my issues and it really feels bad to feel ignored…
