Contact TOR Browser VPN Ad Blocker Support

This is not the official Tor Browser like I initially thought when I looked for it on the App Store. It’s some knock off based in China that offers minimal, if any, real privacy protection. Even after going through the settings twice, some sites clearly show that data from your time there is not being erased after exiting this browser (ex: all searches saved). Apple’s App Privacy Report also showed a huge amount of domains were linked up with this app (especially Google related ones). I messaged the developers about this at least two months ago and never got a response. After that I decided to look at their privacy policy (should’ve done this in the beginning). It apparently catalogues all kinds of info and sends it to some Chinese server. The VPN it sells with the “Premium” version only works with this app (unlike legitimate VPN’s such as Nord). After doing some more research, all browsers on iOS (at least not jailbroken) are based off the Safari browser and are not truly independent like they are on a regular desktop or laptop computer. I was hoping this app would be able to disable all the hidden trackers, cookies, and pop up ads that are ubiquitous on smartphones, but that’s not really possible with any browser on an apple smartphone. If you want to minimize them, I suggest a solid VPN and the DuckDuckGo browser. Honestly, it’s probably best to keep internet browsing on your phone to a minimum if you’re concerned about protecting your data.

I am sorry to write this review but the developers are unreachable otherwise. I originally used Tor with The Guardian Project and Orbot a few years ago. This app is basically useless. I tried it initially and it performed 3/10. Difficult to load VPN and rendering is slow if not an epic fail. Bridges are basic. Terminated my subscription for one month and used another VPN which performed well 7/10. Again purchased a month of TORVPN after original termination and my experience was 1/10 as unable to load servers easily and getting a bridge for VPN was difficult if not impossible. I have now unsubscribed. I lost $20 for two months of service to affirm this VPN needs s LOT of work. I would strongly discourage anyone from purchasing this app. This is a BUYER BEWARE rating.

Ive had an account that I can only access on Tor for the last 2 years with no problems at all but thats because I only logged on using the real Tor Browser from my laptop. Literally signed into that account 1 time using this app and next thing I know my password has been changed and Im locked out of the account. Im not a bot like all these other fake reviews Im a real person telling about my real experience. Do not use any of these knock off Tor browser wannabe apps, only use the real tor browser on your laptop or pc. Trust me, this app is either ran by the police or some scammers stealing everyones info.
