I have NEVER used Discovery mode. It seems like it would be useful but ever since I downloaded HeliumHotspot it has ALWAYS said “You have run out of sessions for today. Try again tomorrow” despite having NEVER used it. Even more frustrating is when i first asserted my miner location I put the pin over my house, clicked to confirm and when it went through it ended up changing my location two streets over from where my house is and it WILL NOT let me change it. Every time I try to reassert my location it says “There was an error constructing the assert location transaction.” On top of that it wants me to pay for HeliumHotspot screwing up and not asserting my location where I told it to in the first place. I really like helium mining and support helium but HeliumHotspot has been a nightmare. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t do anything and there is no one to contact for support. Hopefully the Helium team will take notice to all these awful reviews of their app and do something about it.

Was excited after reading about this project but after downloading HeliumHotspot I’m unable to even make it past writing down the twelve word password to create an account. No matter what I do or how many times I scroll through the words and rewrite them down the button to continue stays grayed out and won’t let me proceed. If you want your project to be successful I figure your account creation should work at the very least.

Helium the crypto next work is fine. But HeliumHotspot is horrendous. U would think for a company in tech, an app would be so simple to always have up and running smoothly. Nope. HeliumHotspot is slooooow. Sometimes won’t even load your balance. Forget trying to look up hotspots. Just terrible. If you can find another crypto to mine with a better experience. I suggest u do so. I would never recommend Helium to friends and family.

HeliumHotspot is never up to date on the status of your helium hotspot. Sometimes it’s days behind. The diagnostic utility requires a Bluetooth pairing, which rarely works. And for those with outdoor units, good luck getting back on your roof, climbing up the pole you bought to mount this device up high, opening it, and hitting the tiny Bluetooth pairing button. That is, if HeliumHotspot decides to work, which it likely won’t.

Just recently installed HeliumHotspot and setup my Bobcat Miner (2 days ago)… now HeliumHotspot doesn’t work. IF it loads it won’t allow me to select anything in HeliumHotspot . But I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall 4 times already in the first 2 days of using HeliumHotspot . I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max on the latest software update… I don’t know what the problem is.

Fix HeliumHotspot and get an ACTIVE/FUNCTIONAL App Support link, because the web link you have now is DEAD.

Honestly im very disappointed with HeliumHotspot . First of all, the built in map and hotspot viewer is terrible. Everything takes longer to load, you cant see hotspot details and activity. I just tend to use the website explorer due to how much better it is. Thats not even my main problem. For whatever reason, my app displays no notifications, discovery mode doesnt work whatsoever, pair is very iffy, and more. I dont know if this is unique to me or if others have had these issues as well but I swear it’s annoying. The worst part is there is NO ONE who can help me. i looked through the entire helium website and there is no support, no tickets, no email, NOTHING! When you click the help button in the apple app store page for the helium it literally redirects to a broken page. super dissatisfied with heliums team right now.

HeliumHotspot works fine for setting up and monitoring my 6 hotspots but it's very broken in other ways. Notifications DO NOT WORK which prevents the ability to transfer hotspots! I get notifications on my iPhone popup but in HeliumHotspot nothing shows. I've updated multiple times and transfer never works. Also the sync percentage makes no sense. 99% for days? Be more realistic with percentages.

I’ve been using the Helium app for the last five months. Everything was working great until a couple of days ago when HeliumHotspot stopped working completely.

Nothing loads, I can’t see my earnings, I can’t send funds out of my account.

With the number of hotspots on the network, it makes sense that things are crashing but this is unacceptable.

Does anyone else has issues with the discovery option??? I set up a device at my dad’s house and since then I was unable to run the discovery mode. It was right at the time of back outs so I don’t know if adding the new device caused the issue or it was just a coincidence. When I go to the discovery mode it says “You have run out of sessions for today. Try again tomorrow” but I didn’t use any today and it’s saying the same thing for nearly a week. Can someone help please!!?!?!

This is one of those love / hate relationships. I love everything about the Helium project and this wallet should be a reflection of how thoroughly the dev team is taking their vision seriously. If my phone updates (good crypto security practices to keep everything current) then it is reasonable to expect that HeliumHotspot will update alongside it. I’ve been locked out of my own wallet for two days now and unable because of the lock screen update issue, and have missed selling a wonderful pump in HNT price. Couldn’t get any more frustrated with you if I tried.

HeliumHotspot ’s ability to display earnings (daily, bi-weekly, monthly) has been working less and less reliably as time goes by. I haven’t seen it functioning correctly in three days now. Restarts don’t help. Website (explorer) functionality continues to work and provides some of the same capabilities, but the point of HeliumHotspot is convenience— which this is not.

Similarly, Discovery Mode has degraded to being practically useless. While my hotspot continues to function, DM has been unable to start from HeliumHotspot for four days at this point.

The wallet seems to remain functional and the balance appears to be accurate, but it’s a small consolation compared to the overall clunky performance.

HeliumHotspot nags for words to change accounts. Can you make it so we can toggle to disable the word nags. I sign out of my account when I am done using helium because I have memorized my words and don’t want my miners protected by Touch ID or Face ID or pin codes etc.

Logging in is a breeze by just typing words. Logging out is a painful word hunt game. Also, can you privatize the words as you logout? My words appear in bright white as I click them, now I gotta make sure I don’t have shoulder surfers as I logout too. Please please let us disable this logout function. Maybe put something like if you want to disable logout guard you need to punch in your words successfully five times with zero mistakes so we know you really got this down before we remove the child proofing.

Discovery mode has not worked in days when it does run it’s 00 even though I’m getting about 25 it pops up another screen over top of it usually about 20 30 or 40 seconds in, then freezes.
I really liked HeliumHotspot until I started acting up like this you need to do some updates and bug fixes

I’ve been using the Helium app for 29 days now. It’s cool, except for the relay mode. Not sure what the deal is with it. Checking my miner in diagnostic mode EVERYTHING is green.... plus a green light .... inbound and outbound ... green checks...yet still saying relayed. It’s been a problem the entire month. Extremely frustrating, but beside that... it’s great!

Excellent product, amazing concept. Been working with this project since august. But HeliumHotspot is absolutely awful. Buggy, glitchy, clunky, call it what you want but it functions horribly. Patches seem to make HeliumHotspot worst update by update. Give me a reason to give HeliumHotspot 5/5 Helium.

The official helium iOS app consistently has had many bugs. Some have been fixed over time, but some very prominent ones still remain, including the inability of the helium iOS app to show any of the notifications in-app that it pushes to your phone’s notifications screen. It’s also usually very slow to load, even on fast and stable internet connections. Let’s make HeliumHotspot more reliable before adding new features, helium!

Im tired of having to remove the rubber tape and unscrew my enclosure to press the blue tooth pairing button on the miner. There should be a way to connect to it without having to press the pairing button; white listed devices that can automatically pair when close to the hotspot.

As a future/potential miner, I want be able to use the map explorer to select individual nodes and get statistics so that I can plan where I will place my miners.

- Allow map to zoom in further
- Allow selection of individual nodes
- Allow user to see status and HNT amounts for 24-hours, 7-days, and 30-days

Was just about to write a someone upset review because my nodes would regularly take 3-5+ minutes to display rewards/ progress and things like that…. But with the most recent update it all seemed to be fixed! Good job guys!

It would be nice to see the explorer open in app and not in another web page. Also, for people that have multiple miners...It would be nice to be able to see the # of tokens mined by each individual miner. Please add this breakdown so that we can see which miner holds what number of coins.

After Helium updated HeliumHotspot lately, I can’t change the WiFi network. This seems to be a bug for the newly updated Helium App, hopefully this bug can be fixed soon.

Glitchy, won’t load, causes anxiety because you don’t know if you were hacked

I’m so disappointed in the new app. The fact that you can’t see other hotspots around you anymore is annoying.

Helium is fantastic, life changing to me. However the bugs in app are proving to be a bottleneck for deploying new hotspots. Reasserting locations has become expensive because of a lack on confirmation when it is successful. Several times I have attempted to reassert location to find I am double charged the DC fee because there is no way to confirm which attempts have been successful.
There are many unclear error codes that make set up painful. Connecting a hotspot to a new WiFi networks takes many tries, and is often unsuccessful.
Ease of use should be a primary focus for app developers, along with making sure data is up to date for the in app charts and displayed correctly.
Last complaint is actually directed at Binance, where the helium wallet has been down for several days.

However take this all with a grain of salt, thank you Helium Team for this amazing opportunity to be a part of something so liberating!

I don’t usually write reviews but since using HeliumHotspot on a daily basis, I was able to analyze the network with great detail.

Helium does a superb job informing the users about updates and any issues. Bugs are taken care in a timely manner and never experienced troubling issues.

I can gain world wide, but more importantly state and nation insights. I give the developer teams and HeliumHotspot five stars.

One request, could additional apps used by the Helium team be released as there is many benefits, like the Cargo app.

Very impressed with app. I have two hotspots in Washington DC. Both seem out of range of other hotspots but they still earn tokens from mining. Looking forward to watching Helium progress!

Love HeliumHotspot , please implement old designs/features from the version before 3.0.

easier navigation/clearer picture of what each reward is earned from.

Or at least if possible have a settings area where you can adjust different tools or options for customization of what to toggle/see/info of said things going on with a peers hotspot and such.

So many copy and pastes of bitcoin out there that is so hard to weed through and find the projects that will deliver real value.

Started with one hotspot and has since grown to over 20, helium has been a life changer for me and I hope it continues to grow and succeed.

Beautiful app powering the future of IoT while earning truly a lot of cryptocurrency. Love that I’m making this much money. If I get a few more hotspots I can quit my job lol.
