Cannondale hasn’t worked right since the new update, every time you start a ride it goes into pause after 10 seconds and never resumes even while riding. Doesn’t pick up ride speed even though it says it has good connection with wheel sensor that has a battery status of good. Tried deleting Cannondale and downloading again still same issue. Tech support through Cannondale hasn’t responded in a week.
I have two bikes that use Cannondale. On one bike, it gives the speed and distance at about 1.5x. So when I’m doing 10mph it says 15. I go 5 miles it says 7. Useless. On the second bike, it was fine until this update. It doesn’t sync my rides to a map anymore. When I’m stationary it says to move the wheel to wake up the sensor. I do that and it says rides will not sync until the sensor is stationary for five minutes. Useless again. Please fix.
Cannondale has a problem correctly logging completed rides and I think that’s due to the lack of end ride feature. The current end ride and switch bikes feature isn’t enough as is.
I have a new Synapse Carbon 2 RLE and have been having issues with the Smartsense and Cannondale . First, the system does not always start and only after multiple stops and take the battery in and out does it work. Second, the lights automatically default to the most power hungry setting and when I open Cannondale on my phone to adjust the setting, it frequently seizes. Battery light at the default setting is less than 3 hours. When it works, it’s great but these quirks are annoying. On another subject, I realized that the Ultegra Di2 battery life is only about 600 miles, not 6 months.
I like Cannondale so far, especially the live speed, but it doesn’t seem to match the distances I get with Map My Ride and a different GPS app. The speed seems too high and the distance too far. It’s about a half mile too fast it seems. Not sure how to fix that. Also, the upside down 8’s make me crazy.
I really like the bike. The reason for the three stars is the light and how the work with Cannondale . Any time the blue tooth connection between the bike and my phone is interrupted (which happens multiple times per ride) the lights go back to the default settings. If I want to turn the lights off on a bright sunny day, they won’t stay off. this app may not be able to do anything about the Bluetooth on existing bike, but I would think Cannondale could be written to hold the last setting rather than go back to the default setting.
Overall, a very good app, but there is a bug when you share a ride. Instead of sharing your ride, it shares Cannondale preview video from Cannondale Store. Please fix this bug!! A 5 star app after this bug is fixed.
Great app. Very detailed but it’s missing a key feature. It needs dark mode for night riding! If they added “pure dark mode” to take advantage of OLED screens ability to turn off pixels, this would significantly save battery and not burn your eyes at night. Please add this much needed feature this app!
Setup was extremely easy and using both GPS and the wheel sensor works well as I have compared them to my other apps and my Wahoo unit. What I need next is the ability to link my Garmin Varia to Cannondale . You already show it with SmartSense bikes so it can be that hard to pair it with Cannondale.
I use the this app app exclusively now and love it,…. Mostly because of the rear radar and on-screens alerts. Awesome. As a Strava user, I do wish the this app app had the ability to set goals and monitor progress. I get crazy motivated by saying I’ll bike X miles this week or month. Strava has a nice on-screen presentation of progress towards my goals. Maybe next version, this app?
All my children, (adult) and their spouses, brought me a new bike for Father’s Day. As we go to the shore the first week in August, I started riding it there (took a little to get started) when I returned home I continued to ride at least 3 times a week, but my first ride at home I ran into a friend and he told me about an app, he uses. I checked it out and it cost per year, but I discovered that this app had an app, I downloaded it, scanned the serial number of bike and have been using ever since. I really enjoy it and showing my friends and family what I have accomplished. I recommend Cannondale! Enjoy the ride!!!
After a few times I finally got this to work. I think some refinement needs to be done to explain (especially to Garmin users) how the two apps can/can’t interact. Just because you have Garmin Connect installed DOES NOT mean you have to force-close. Its really only when you might possibly have the Sensor paired as a device INSIDE Connect (which I did not). Devs should refine those explanations a bit more.
I haven’t had any issues with Cannondale (so far), but it would be nice if it gave you a settings option to have your cycling ride data automatically be exported into Apple’s built-in Health/Fitness app! This would result in making it easier for the user to view more of their fitness data in just one place (rather than having to go through multiple apps to see all of their exercise history/trends).
So far I’m really enjoying Cannondale . I have a Garmin computer that I use on the bike and would be ready to replace it with Cannondale if it would just record cadence data. Eventually I plan to add a power meter too so would be totally stoked if Cannondale would be updated to aceept, display, and record cadence and power analytics from Bluetooth cadence and power sensors. Then I truly could just ditch the computer and just mount my phone to the bike and use it. this app could even make a good market selling the Bluetooth sensors.
Cannondale provides motivation to riding and has had some great updates through the years. I enjoy the auto-pause feature recently added. Out of curiosity is there any easy way to end a ride or is the method when you go sync? I’ve not found a good way to end a ride outside of “End Ride and Sync” on the activities page. I would love a plain “end ride” feature added to the main page with the speedometer. I’ve not found any use for the “End ride and change bike” option that is there. Thanks for the assist.
One year after total knee replacement, bought the bike to help get back into shape!
Only had it a couple of weeks but am as motivated as ever! This bike is so easy to ride and is very cool looking as well!
It would be great if the map included Rail Trails and Greenways. I live near the Western New England Greenway, which uses public roads to ride from New Your to Montreal. Having map directions on the side roads that make up the route would be helpful.
Also RailTrails with milage and elevation guides would be a nice feature.
Love Cannondale - clean interface gives me the exact data that I’m personally looking for! One request - in a future release can you please add the time of day on the ride screen? Sometimes I need to get somewhere by a specific time and it would be great to look down and see a clock so I know what time it actually is. Keep up the good work!
I love everything about Cannondale. Started using my Polar H10 with it and it works fantastic. New to the bike scene and honestly I have no complaints about the bike or Cannondale . Thanks!!!
This is a really good app or any cyclist to have. You don’t need a this app bike to use it but it is nice that it brings my bike it and tracks maintenance (I do my own). The map is really nice and allows you to zoom in. Not sure yet if it can combine with bike path maps but I’ll see what else it can do over time. For a free app to just track your progress it’s great. It does pause when you stop which is good to keep you honest.
