I’ve been using NextGenRodeo since I started rodeo, used to it was fantastic, I had no issues with it, but the more it updates the more the want you to pay, let me tell you what when I pay $115 to run and I have to pay $20 to see results and then I DONT SEE THEM, so then my run time is not available to me because I don’t pay $9.99 a month and on top of that I can’t call tech support because they don’t work weekends which would be fine but that’s when %90 of athletes need them. So I think it’s a little wild to set your off days to those who wanna receive their results and can’t. So done with NextGenRodeo it’s unreal.

We are not now forced to pay to see live rodeo results and the stock draw that a large majority of the rodeos don’t even post to NextGenRodeo . What a rip off.

We used Nextgen for a while until they started charging $5 per entry. That gets expensive really quickly, and the software isn't worth it. We demoed Rodeo Results, and it made Nextgen look ridiculous. Rodeo Results is reasonably priced, has fundraising abilities to make the cost up, and is way more simplistic/user-friendly for us and the contestants. Use Rodeo Results.

One second it shows you events to enter next second it says no results no matter what you type, pretty much useless to download

It never fails. Nearly every single time I use NextGenRodeo to enter there is an issue or a glitch. Not to mention the expense it costs to use all the features of NextGenRodeo. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I told a friend the other day I was about to not to enter another barrel race that used NextGen for entries. I ended up entering another barrel race, and again there was an issue. So frustrating. It’s fine for entering anything you don’t have to pay for such as a rodeo where you pay fees on site, but NextGenRodeo has cost me an excessive amount of time from having to call customer service in addition to unnecessary extra fees. I’m over it.

App had numerous glitches, then they made practically everything impossible to see without paying. Membership fees are ridiculously high.

They gave it for free. Then they wanted $10 a month to see results. $100 a year. Now they want membership fees to enter a few jackpots! The line has been drawn. Please use rodeoresults, SGP, rodeo go, anything but this.

Has the equistat link ever worked? Not to my knowledge.

This is the ONLY app on the planet that makes the competitor pay to see the results. No where in the history of sports have competitors who have spent hours training, paid entry fees and fuel costs, taken time off work to attend, then tried to perform the best they can, have then had to PAY to see where they fall in the competition. If that wasn’t bad enough, probably because people weren’t paying the subscription fee, they added early access to exhibitions IF YOU PAY the subscription fee. I think the owners of this company forgot that barrel racing only grew when the “slow” people, who are also not the wealthy people, got an incentive to compete with the D system. Luckily not a lot of producers use NextGenRodeo and I hope it stays that way. Personally I avoid NextGen barrel races unless there’s no where else to go, or I know that the producer will post the results quickly.

Update: It looks like y’all changed that because up until recently you could NOT see the final results without a subscription. Your response is appreciated but misleading.

Wish IFYR would have went with Cowboy Channel, couldn’t see anything after paying $10 to watch.

I love the convenience of entering through NextGenRodeo BUT—who’s idea was it to keep us all from taking screenshots of our entries??? Absolutely ridiculous!!!! I’d love to hear the explanation for this!

Ifyr they only ran 1 arena which was not the arena I had people competing in! Said expo internet was not strong enough to carry all 3 arenas? Think you would have test run them before hand? Then get on to watch Monday PM perf and it is not showing anything! Wanted 10 bucks and didn’t get to see anyone I wanted to see! By the way I would have went to perfs if I wasn’t working! Wouldn’t recommend!

If your going to charge me to see my times then every producer using NextGenRodeo needs to report live results. It’s ridiculous that we are paying extra to see results and then don’t even see them until the producers have posted days later for FREE. I’m okay with paying, If I’m actually getting what I’m paying for. Work should be rewarded and that’s understandable. But if you guys are going to charge us you need to only let races use NextGenRodeo that are going to honor y’all’s commitment to us!!

As a contestant, this offers you no real value unless you pay $10 per month for the few races that use this platform. You can’t see your time, or a leaderboard without shelling out more money. Will only use NextGenRodeo to enter when required, but it’s better to check the rodeo’s social media pages for free to see the standings. Rodeo Results app is far superior, with live updates, run times and leaderboard at NO cost! I wish producers wouldn’t use the NexGen app!

The idea of an app for entries and such is great, but not NextGenRodeo. Overall it’s clunky, half the stuff doesn’t work, and you have to pay to see results. Whoever is in charge of developing NextGenRodeo really needs to step back and rethink the set up/function and how it could actually be useful to competitors. A good start would be to alphabetize associations in the search function so we’re not aimlessly scrolling. Then fix the search function so it actually works.

A brutal app to use. Had to pay $20 to get live results for a single race (which are free on other apps). Then, the actual results are clunky to load, if they ever do. Have to do multiple full app close and reopen and even then they are 20-25 riders behind. Some cool features like leg times, but so overshadowed by technical issues. Please hire a better tech team and UI person.

Why not charge the rodeo producers instead of the athletes for NextGenRodeo? Aren’t we paying enough already just to compete? Now we have to pay just to see where we place? And not a small amount either. Ugh

Now they charge you $100 a year or $10 a month to see results. Just gave in and paid $10 for a month and the results aren’t even in for a rodeo from July 7-8. What a rip off.

I haven’t had to use NextGenRodeo in almost a year and today I had to …unfortunate for me. I found out how lacking nextgen still is…. I can’t believe the notification button still does not work. The most awful app that barrel racers have to use to enter some of their events. Producers requiring NextGenRodeo should have to pay the contestants to use it.

I’ve been using NextGenRodeo here and there when the races use it. Next gen has been the only app I’ve ever really known about up until recently I went to a race that was using an app called rodeo results, and I hate to say it, but rodeo results really put next gen to shame for me…next gen doesn’t have the user experience like rodeo results did. As a contestant use rodeo results.

This is the only app that requires me to “update” before I can enter.
This can take some time to complete.

Barrel races or UPRA rodeos, this is my favorite app as an contestant. A few months ago when entering a larger race and had a few questions.. staff was so quick and friendly with a response.

NextGenRodeo is helping the rodeo/jackpot western lifestyle move in a positive direction and with great customer service!

I use the NextGen Rodeo App from the producer side and have not found anything better! It is user friendly and easy to see entry names and contact information. If an issue arises, their customer service is top notch! This is an all in one app that ties in your scoring, results and video board production. One of the best things to happen to the rodeo industry for entering and producing events!

I love NextGenRodeo , I feel that it is user-friendly. If I can figure it out, I know that anyone can. I also use the system as a barrel racing producer and the program has streamlined our entries, paperwork, draw, and webcast. Their customer service is EXCELLENT!!

App is easy to use. The live results are quick. I would much rather do this then have 5-6 phones calling in to try to get into a rodeo. I also love that it saves your information so you do not have to enter the credit card and horses every time. You just choose it from a list!
