I love the concept of this application. You can read as many books as you want rather than having to just buy certain books. I also like the sound quality of the books.

I’ve been using AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts for a week or so. I do really like it but the inconsistency of if it is going to remember where I left off is REALLY frustrating. I listen to books as I work so I pause quite often. Sometimes it remembers exactly where I stopped. Sometimes it takes me back to the beginning of a chapter close to where I stopped and sometimes it is almost to the beginning of the book. I try to make note of where I am when I stop but rarely have the chance. I have made sure that AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts is up to date so that isn’t an issue.

So far my rating would be lower than a 1 if I could. AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts plainly isn’t working for us. We get an error message nearly every time we click on a book to play, on the rare occasion that it lets us start listening to a book the book will stop playing a couple chapters in, they keep charging me the quarterly membership fee monthly, apparently reset another membership every time we delete and re-install AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts as per one of the few FAQs that they have, they apparently have no customer service help as all you can do is leave a message on their Facebook or Twitter and once in a while they get back to you. The repeated overcharging is starting to border on theft since they won’t return messages, forcing me to go through my bank to dispute the charges. There is a great market for audiobooks, but this company isn’t ready to fill the niche.

I’ve been on a hunt fo great audiobook apps, and Anyplay satisfied almost all of my needs. Not only does it have such a broad selection of books (and it keeps up well with new releases), their home page also helps me discover new books! The user interface is pretty friendly and easy to navigate. And the audiobooks are all high quality!

That said, there are a few issues that would make the experience even better:

1) more speed selections for mobile — as someone who likes to listen to audiobooks quickly, I think going beyond the 1.75x speed would be great
2) perhaps showing how much time is left in the whole book rather than the amount of time left in a chapter (I usually track my reading so that’d make it easier)
3) remembering the speed that the reader previously selected — it’d just make things more convenient

Overall, I had a great experience with Anyplay!

AnyPlay has a great selection of audiobooks and AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts is attractive and user friendly. I only wish that it had a bookmark feature. Audiobook fans should definitely check this one out.

Anyplay FM is my new obsession! I love that you get to organize your audiobooks into whatever library you desire. There is a wide range of titles perfect for listeners of all genres that is consistently updating to give you new books to listen to and keep up with the hype!! I thoroughly enjoy AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts and I’m excited for more and more people to discover how great it is.

Anyplay offers so many book options while separating them into “recommendations” that help you find your next read. I love the stories at the top that highlight books I may like and what is recommended by its workers. It’s a great price for as many books as you can read too. 10/10 recommend!

I found AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts a couple months ago when I was frustrated with the lack of selection from audible. I love it! Huge selection and It’s nice to be able to read multiple books at one time depending on my mood.

Really liking AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts. I listen to 10-12 audiobooks a month and this is a great find. I’d the speed could go up to 2.5, I know many others who would switch from a similar app that isn’t anywhere near as good for book options.

I really enjoy the Anyplay App & highly recommend it! I particularly like the unlimited access to ALL books & podcasts at any time and not being limited to a specific number each month. If you’re looking for a top notch listening app, Anyplay is the way to go!

Loving this new app! I’m finding it very easy to navigate and I love the look of it! Very clean and smooth. I’ve been enjoying sifting through the staff picks and am very excited to check out some more recommendations.

I am really enjoying my three months so far, but sadly will be cancelling after. I love the selections so far but they need an increase of speeds. I need at least 2x on some narrations as they are just too slow for me otherwise. I will be back as soon as AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts offers 2x and more in speed.

Really love AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts! I never know what to read next and they do a great job at suggesting good and interesting audiobooks!!

I canceled last month and I’m confused as to why AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts is still trying to charge my card…. I don’t even see the option to cancel anymore.!!!App keeps closing out, plus the genre/categories selection only displays a handful a books. Update: the category list are terrible

I was searching for another audio service since Audible altered their membership by doing away with Audible Escape, which had a robust catalog of included titles, and replacing it with Audible Plus, which is a total ripoff. Audible Plus is full of self- published crap and public domain work you could get anywhere. I saw an ad for AnyPlay and I’m so glad I decided to try it. The selection is extensive and full of legitimately wonderful books. It’s odd that their pricing scheme is the same as I suggested to Audible in terms of bringing back Audible Escape. So gratified that I’ve found an alternative. The only reason I won’t get rid of Audible is because of its exclusive content, otherwise dumping them would be a done deal. Hashtag freeyourheadphones, hashtag AnyPlayAnyDay. Update/ Mar 3: AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts is seriously buggy. It will not remember your place and books go back to the beginning, which is kind of annoying. I also think the user interface & keywording could do with a serious overhaul. That said, the wide range of books is still unbeatable.

Update/ Dec 31, 2021:
Of late, I am finding that when I click on a book, an alarming number of times a message comes up that it’s not available. Sometimes I’ll click again & it will suddenly load. Recently, I kept getting the error message, so I went & bought the book on Audible, only to find that it was available on AnyPlay a few days later. I’m now wondering how AnyPlay gets the rights to the books… surely if the rights were correctly secured, this wouldn’t happen. Also, the recommendations on the Browse tab aren’t regularly updated. I think the developers really need to read the reviews & dig into the problems identified by paying customers. It’s becoming super-frustrating.

This replaced Audible Escape for me. It’s fantastic- great selection of books, even new releases! Thanks.

Easy to use and good selection!

Best audiobook app I have ever had

AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts would be a lot better if it actually played all of the books instead of like a series only play one and four out of a series

For full disclosure, I did receive a free subscription from Anyplay to try out AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts . This was in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.

I’ve been trying AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts for about a week now, and wow! I have been looking for an audiobook app for a while now. I’ve tried Scribd and Audible, but wasn’t a fan of being limited or having a small selection. For the price, you are getting way more than other subscriptions. It’s around the same price as Scribd, but the selection is so much better. It’s cheaper than Audible and allows you to listen to multiple books at a time.

Anyplay is set up like Instagram with stories at the top to share news and book releases. There are different categories within the audiobook and podcast sections for easy searching. There is even a category for kids (separated by age) and for sleep help. As you search, you can even make playlists and save things that you want to listen to. AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts is very user friendly.

They don’t have every single book in their library, but the selection is still amazing! They have a lot new releases that I probably couldn’t even get at my library yet. And the benefit here is that you don’t have to place a hold on the book, or wait for the next month to purchase your book credit.

Ive already been reading multiple books, and trying out the “unlimited” feature. I haven’t run into any issues with listening to more than one. And again, compared to other subscriptions, this is fabulous! Especially for an avid reader like myself.

The one thing that annoys me just a tad is that AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts doesn’t save the speed I was listening to the book at after I close AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts . This is such a small thing though, that I doesn’t affect my review. But in the future, this would be something that would be nice as a fix.

If you are looking for an audiobook subscription, I would recommend this one. Out of the three apps that I have used for audiobooks, this one definitely stands out and gives me the selection and freedom that I have been looking for in an app.

There is an amazing selection of romance audiobooks! I’m happy to say that both traditionally published and indie published books are available. The price is unbeatable and I can’t wait to explore AnyplayAudiobooksPodcasts more.

A few things that could use improvement:

1. More speed selections. My usual starting speed for audiobooks is between 1.5x and 1.8x speed on other apps. The max on AnyPlay is 1.75x which is one of the lowest speeds I use. Also, a clearer speed icon for newbies to audiobooks. It currently looks like an old fashioned dial knob.

2. Better categories for browsing. Romance by itself is a huge genre and is divided into many sub genres. There isn’t a great way to discover new authors/books on the iOS app. You basically have to search authors by name to see if any of their audiobooks are available. I’d love to see just how many romance titles are available in total. Also, a filter of some sort to browse ALL romance titles and their sub genres (historical, contemporary, paranormal, fantasy, sci-fi, new adult, sports romance, dark romance, etc) is a must!

3. Time left update. When increasing the speed of the audio, the “time left in book” remains the same. I like to see how long it will take me to finish a book. It’s hard to tell when you’re listening on 1.75x speed and it still says 9 hours left.
