I would give United Masters a lower review if I could. I was just double charged for being a “Select Artist”, after I reached out to Support over a week ago to tell them that their billing info was incorrect. Earlier this year I tried releasing a cover record, and was instantly denied by the website for using an artists name in the Writers section that wasn’t my own.

Their support team is absolutely dreadful. Half of my EP wasn’t distributed to Facebook’s audio library. When I asked them redistribute in an email, someone reached out to me two weeks later and said the EP would get released to FB; it hasn’t.

They rely on a glitzy social media page, and “partnerships” that really do nothing for artists to encourage new sign ups. However the actual support artists get is dreadful. Despite being a “Select” artist, my billing is still incorrect, and I’m still getting 80/20 and 90/10 splits on my royalties. This month, my royalties from major DSP’s weren’t even reported. Just absolutely miserable. Choose an actual distributor.

I don’t think this app is really who they say they are! This is stupid I have only 6 songs released 3 of my pending releases or pending songs were supposed to be released a couple of days ago, can you imagine It’s still there and they’re still claiming they’re going to release it on the release date which was 3 days ago this is totally madness you’re bringing me down instead of lifting me up. You guys made me lied to my fan base and then all the people who follow my music I gave them the song title and the date my songs was going to released so that they could stream when it’s available now I have more than two thousand plus messages every one is complaining I’m not a true artist and I don’t respect my fans. I had hope when I first met this app but now I’ve lost all hope and trust because for what you’ve done gives me a clear example that you won’t even DELIVER MY ROYALTIES!!!!!! I gotta find a better distributor

They tell you that you have so much control over your music. The only thing good about them is that you can upload music on the go, but everything else is horrible. If you not a major artist or company they will give you the run around. First, if you have any problem with anything the only way to contact them is through email(which it take them 1-2 weeks to email you back). No number to talk to anyone. Second, as soon as I signed up for the “Select Artist” my account got hack and changed all my information. Third (most important) when it’s time to collect your earnings they tell you. They will deposit it to your PayPal(the only payment option) in 45 days after you earn $45 I been having more then that 4 months ago and still haven’t gotten paid. I wish I could give them no stars

I found this app when my friend tagged me in a post about it on TikTok, and I’ve been wanting to release my album for a long time and I finally found out how to do it. I submitted my album and within 3 days I got an email saying it was going to be released in just 7 days. I’ve tried other distributors and no one does it nearly as fast as this app. I’ve literally released 2 songs in the span of 9 days and I’m going to release a new album on April 3rd

As an artist you should not have to work this hard and do their job for them. First I had issues with cover art. After paying to have a graphic cover for my single tell me why United masters uploaded my song to someone elses platform. Mind you I’m still in my 2 week free trial and this experience so far has been awful and a joke. They have managed to ruin something so important to me. The craziest part is that they ask you if you already have an apple account & gives you the option to connect it. But I clicked the option stating I did not have an apple account and they still uploaded my song to someone else’s Apple Music . I wouldn’t suggest UnitedMasters to a soul. They never even send you a link that contains the link to your “new account” they never created.

Let’s start with customer service. You will never get a response to your email. So if you have a problem, the problem may or may not be resolved and you will never receive a response to a solution.

Taking down music, they make it look easy but there are still a few glitches with this interface. You can confirm take down but music would still be live and they do not instruct on how long it’s going to take for music to be taken down.

Earnings Dashboard doesn’t really provide a break down of how many plays you are getting paid for. They just give you a dollar amount and say this is what you made. This make me feel real uncomfortable and I feel like they can steal our money without us having documentation to prove it. So if you earned $1000, they can give you $500 and you can’t even determine if this amount is correct or not due to the lack of statistics. They will also delete your earnings dashboard.

Great concept, but UnitedMasters and company wasn’t ready for the workload. They either need more staff or figure out a better system that will make this idea the game changer that they are aiming for.

This is app is the best app for you the be able to distribute music. But I do have some issues with it. I made some mixtapes and I put a track at the beginning of each of me talking and welcoming them the mixtape. They approved one of them but all the others were declined due to “snippets” for the first tracks of each mixtape. So I emailed them about them declined like 5 or 6 but approving one. They never emailed be back about that. But the email back all the time about other stuff. The only times they have never got back to me was when this happened and when they put my music under the wrong artist profile and the name was also spelled incorrectly. Other than these issues I haven’t had any problems.

I uploaded my first EP on united masters a month in advance a month later it was approved for delivery but on the target date my music was not released, I've sent more than 5 emails asking why and what’s wrong because they haven’t flagged it for any error but I can’t get any response from email & they don't offer a #, this I disappointing as hell , my fans and followers have been stalled out and waiting since Feb 14th and today is March 11th ... you do the math , im still waiting! & Oh yeah, they won’t allow my project to be deleted for 90days so that i can release under a new distribution company , in other words they won’t DROP MY MUSIC ! I feel like I'm stuck in a deal with a major label & they’re holding me back! Please don’t use United Masters if you're a serious artist, they’re not a serious business!

So far I like using United Masters as a distributor but my only issue is the customer service and the inability of us, the users to takedown songs when want, on our end without having to go through customer support and waiting for a response to issue takedowns of a specific song or project.

Distrokid allows it’s user to issue takedowns on our end which makes things convenient for us the artists. So the only issue here is that United Masters should add a bit more convenience for its users, specifically for issuing takedowns.

If they can improve on this I won’t even consider going back to Distrokid.

UnitedMasters is ok the only problem I have is not UnitedMasters but with the limited platforms they distribute to. They don’t distribute to Pandora nor Tik Tok just to name a few so you can’t maximize your songs fullest potential. Also it would be nice if they offered sync opportunities for tv & movies like songtrust does. It’ll be nice to be able to add a music video for video distribution. I could go on with the features that should be added to make this a complete solution for independent artists. I also seen a handful of part time artists use UnitedMasters with a horrible mix & you guys still submitted it to the various platforms. Where’s the quality control?

I love UnitedMasters but the numbers aren’t always accurate. For a month my streams stayed exactly the same on UnitedMasters but on the main website were updated. Even not my streams for all time don’t match and not a single one of my master links work at all. Non of them are fully linked or operational. But via desktop I can find them. Shrug great app tho also highly irritating that every time a bug is fixed I find a new issue

I can’t take down my release rn I used to be able to but it’s always been kinda funny I can’t even see the text properly to take down the release, and it’s having service issues hope this gets fixed soon I only re-recorded some new tracks and uploaded a new version of the album two days later than planned but it won’t lemme take up the other version with a lot of throwaway tracks

First let me start by saying , they’re quick to flag your account for whatever reason, but it has now been 3/4 weeks since anyone has been a able to tell me anything other than it’s been pushed to priority status. The only way to contact them is through email. No contact number. What happened to all the great things and advertisements I was hearing and seeing about this platform? Their performance does not live up to expectations I thought I was going to receive.
Their good at gassing you up to believe the hype I guess if you go for that type of thing this is the place for you.👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

I got the premium subscription and nothing for it, my songs keep getting flagged for copyright even though they’re original and I’m not using any copyrighted content. My artwork keeps getting denied even though they’re crystal clear and show the text and everything. It takes so long for them to review your songs just to deny it, and even with a premium subscription, it feels like you still have to release your song 2 weeks later because when I select the same date my songs don’t get accepted. UnitedMasters will not feel welcoming to you, use some other distributor.

There should really be an option on here for artists to do multiple uploads , most musicians I know are Involved in many bands not just one , plus in this day and age it’s a time of technology
Allowing us to be independent , no one needs a record label anymore when we have things like United to help us . You can manage your own career right off your phone . It’s a beautiful thing , You guys have done a great thing here , please consider adding a feature like this .

The United Masters app is not only appealing but easy to use! It’s overall upload to distribute feature makes it easy to release tracks any and everywhere and keep up with my independent grind including my social media stats just like the web platform!

What I like most is the ability to chat with support directly and submit to exclusive offers from my cell phone.

I’ve been using UnitedMasters for a while and it logged me out like months ago and hasn’t let me log in since. It says “401 error” or something like that and refuses to work. I’ve uninstalled UnitedMasters reinstalled it, restarted my phone, and just left UnitedMasters alone to see if it will fix itself. I’m just now making a statement about this due to me releasing something and wanting to see the statistics on UnitedMasters , get back to me soon please. An “option” is to clear UnitedMasters cache but you can’t do that on iOS at least for me.

UnitedMasters so far has worked great for me and nothing has gone wrong. All my songs get where I want on the right time. But they don’t respond to emails! I emailed them once in the past and they responded but after that my other 5 attempts at emailing them have shown no response. And that’s the only way you can contact them. So if they don’t respond to your email, you’re completely in the dark on what to do.

it’s horrible it’s like your a slave they won’t let you have your cover art that you created and they only let you put clean songs on there and you only get 90% of your royalties and only let you steam on 4 different platforms but you have to buy 100% royalties for $60 and then you get all your royalties and they pay you nothing don’t use United masters I’m going to switch to tune core and I will make sure to tell people about your horrible Service and it’s like being a slave they pay you nothing for your songs because they make profit off of it .

They submitted my release under the wrong artist profile - so I had to send 4 emails to even get a response for them to respond to the issue.

10 emails and 2 weeks later - they moved my release to another incorrect artist profile. Now I’m patient enough to reach back out and fix the issue but I was very clear and provided more than enough information to have them fix the issue the first time.

Really unfortunate because I had already upgraded to the United Masters Select plan for $60 and was really looking forward to using the service in the future.

I really like how easy and simple it is to distribute music through the this app Platform. The only drawback is the 10% royalty that they take. I’m still waiting to see these branding and other opportunities they keep promoting. I released my son Taesounds song called Sidelines, and they are usually pretty good with the streaming numbers. Don’t forget to search for my Son, Taesounds, and stream his music.

First off, let me say, UnitedMasters is great for beginners like myself. My friend put me on United Masters after she heard my song. I love UnitedMasters , it’s very easy to use.

On the support side, I’ve contacted them in regards to my artist name. Although I understand the difficulty I have to go though to change it... I’ve contacted support almost two weeks ago and I haven’t received an email. Can someone please reach out to me, soon?

Obs3rve music here & I have to say UnitedMasters is next level. The fact that we can upload our music from our phones and have it distributed amongst listening platforms is legendary.

Functionality wise, there are moments where UnitedMasters is a little buggy but it’s in the early phase so it’s all good.

I give them for stars because they don’t give the label the artist maybe sign to & the cover asking is the picture who is the copyright holder obviously if I pay for the cover it’s mine but besides that i like United Masters

This is not a negative review because I love what this app offers! The ONLY thing I would like to see is a real time update. I would like to see the accounts/system to be refreshed every log in or updates daily so the stats are shown for plays accurately. Also, a more streamlined way to add other streaming services instead of through a 3rd party like Music Reports.

I really do love UnitedMasters and its advantages it gives to its artist. They don’t charge you for anything, their website maker is 💯, if there’s one thing they could do, it would be having the choice to put a specific genre for each song in an album, if that sounds right.

I had my doubts but when it came to the day that i was gonna have my first release, i got the notification saying my release has now been published. I was so happy! It does take a while and u might have to fix a few things because if the terms they have but otherwise, ITS GREAT!!

I previously wrote a review giving UnitedMasters a one star because of my dissatisfaction but i shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions. After talking with some representatives of UnitedMasters , they were able to fix my problem easily. UnitedMasters is actually well worth it!!

As someone that has been writing music for a very long time, I appreciate the fact that a platform has been created so that artist can create music and reach the masses, build a fan base, and profit without someone else counting their money before they do. Thank You. God and Love

I’m glad we finally got an app but I like the features that come wit the streaming data better on the website vs UnitedMasters it’s just the numbers it’s not showing where your music is being played.
