TLDR: If you want to call a foreign city government to get approved for a 5 minute bike ride, 5 stars probably! Pros: tons of bikes Cons: tons of bike because it’s impossible to sign up for the service, but the developer doesn’t think it’s important to notify you of that until you’ve downloaded the app, filled in your details, added your passport, verified your email, and then returned to the app to “activate the bicing service” - at that point you’re told it’s impossible to use a passport to rent bikes and to literally call Barcelona. Call the city of Barcelona and get help (no number provided, as if that would help).

I can’t count the amount of times I’ve had issues with this app, it is so buggy and bicing is such a bad service, there are 1-2 electric bikes per 15-20 mechanical ones so if you were counting on that don’t. When there ARE available bikes, half of the time the app has an error where it doesn't let you unlock bikes or says they are in service for days in a row. They customer service is a joke and 99% sure its an automated reply every time. I usually have to walk to 4 stations and won’t find bikes. I don’t recommend it

I went to the Bicing office to reactivate my plastic Bicing card and was told that I have to use this app instead. Is this true? This would mean that we all have to take our phones to the beach if we want to ride a bike to and from the beach. I don’t want to take my phone to the beach, where it will get stolen while I am swimming! I want to use the plastic card to get a Bicing so that I can swim with that plastic card and not worry.
