This is by far the worst attempt at a matchmaking app. The site has actively removed useful features like being able to see how recently someone was active. As a result, you could be writing a message to someone who has not been online in years. They also do not even require a Mutual like for sending messages. This means that if you’re a man, you just have to read every account and write bespike messages to someone who 1) May not even have been online in years and could be married by now and 2) someone who’s entirely uninterested in hearing from you This is internet dating. You can’t read body language and gauge how open someone is to you so the Mutual like is such a basic feature that would save men from wasting time and women from being messaged by literally everybody but Catholic Match does not care to be convenient or user friendly. There’s tons of fake accounts as well so have fun trying to figure out who’s real and who’s fake. You’d be better off literally driving to different churches around the country than spending a penny on this horrible garbage

Edit: they just responded with a bunch of excuses and massaged language. Absolute trash app. I hope they go out of business.

The idea behind this app is great, but poor execution. First of all, why are a bunch of people I’ve never matched with messaging me? Why are you showing my profile to people all over the country when I set my preference to 25 miles and said I’d never be willing to relocate and that I am not looking for a long distance relationship? On that note why am I seeing profiles from people all over the country? Why when I gave a particular age range preference are you showing my profile to people outside of that range? The age and distance are really the only preferences this app even offers and even then they aren’t honored at all. I don’t think those are negotiable things for most people. For the price you pay for this app, what you get is a huge let down. How do I get a refund?

I don’t know if standards are too high on here or I’m just dangerously below mid, but receiving a like on this app is impossible. Not sure what other men have experienced on here but I’m sure it’s not great. Wouldn’t be surprised if Joe six pack has a hard time getting likes on here. Honestly if you’re a guy on dating apps in general looking for matches you’re most likely liking/swiping on bot accounts, dead accounts, or delulus. Christian dating apps are just as bad as regular ones, this one is probably one of the worst. I’d recommend going to local church events around your area or become an active member in your parish, probably even multiple parishes. Maybe I’m terrible, maybe you should give this app a try. I wish you the best🙏🏽
