Glide - Your City Reviews

Glide is great and all and it has some high-quality scooters. I always take the scooter to go to class way quicker and it helps a lot. The only problem that I’ve had with Glide is that the “end ride” button is broken. It’s stuck in a loop that it is processing to end the ride but it does not end the ride. They need to fix this ASAP so it doesn’t keep charging me for the ride even though I just stopped using it. Even if the user forgets to end the ride, There should be a mechanism where if the scooter is inactive for five minutes or something like that and automatically end the ride for you. That would be very helpful for many users. Please fix!

I have rode the this app scooters on several occasions and have had nothing. But positive experiences. On one occasion I did have trouble getting my scooter going and unlocking my app, after I reached out to the admin team they quickly and efficiently resolved my problems so I may return to my gliding.

This time the ride worked really well

I have been using Glide for about a week and have been charged about $30 extra than what I have actually used it. Lots of times it gives me an error when trying to unlock only to find out an hour later that it suddenly activated and stayed on. Also, there is a 50% chance si will get an error when trying to end ride and it stays on for hours. Do not recommend Glide.

Glide wouldn’t stop the ride and I kept going for a couple of hours and about 15 hours later the ride has actually stopped then I’m checking in my wallet and it says -$92 for a ride that I didn’t even use for 15 hours. I try to call apps or for help and they wouldn’t pick up the phone and I also left them a message and they wouldn’t of answered the message anyways.

So I tried to end my ride but it keeps telling me that I’m outside my service area but I’m literally at UTEP??? I’ve called them twice and both times they didn’t answer so I proceeded to email them and again no answer. This has been going on for 1+ hour already, and I’m not paying if it charges me for more if I already tried to end it.

Last 5 scooters I tried to ride had no power but Glide said they were fully charged. Tried to submit a bad review after each ride and there was a error in submitting it (app works fine until you try to submit a bad review, then it doesn’t work).

Horrible. I unlocked a scooter and it was not moving at all, as if it was still locked. Tried for about 10 seconds to get it going and charged me $1.50, for not even being able to ride it. Fix the error or don’t charge people so much for 10 SECONDS. Imagine a 5 minute ride?

I rode the scooter to my building on campus but when I got there, I couldn’t end the ride in Glide . It just froze up. Even when restarting Glide , the button didn’t work. Now it says I owe four dollars even though I tried to end the ride with three dollars left.

Signing up was a night mare and had to submit a password request to get it to recognize me and stop poping up indecipherable error messages. Once in Glide it is very slow. There are two circles on the screen that I assume have some info in them but they are populated with an ellipsis.

Very enjoyable but pretty expensive

My this app scooter wouldn’t work and the time continue I would press end my ride and it wouldn’t until it took all the money I put in my account. I couldn’t even use the scooter and it charged me for a trip it didn’t allow me to make.

Fun, expensive and wish you could rent more than one. But mostly FUN.

Tried to get a refund and no support whatsoever. Created a ticket which did nothing. Forget emailing because no one will respond.

Too expensive for less than an hour

In El Paso yesterday. Downloaded Glide . Attempted to rent 6 separate scooters and it told me they are unavailable. Couldn’t find one. They don’t exist in my city. How do I get my money back?!?!

I paid and the scooter wasn’t working.

UPDATE: So I finally logged into Glide , I had to use my boyfriend’s email and phone number because it just would not accept mine which was so very extremely annoying. This delayed me almost three months using Glide . But I was persistent for some odd reason and was finally able to ride the this app scooter for the first time today. Now I can say with experience I HATE the this app app and scooter SO MUCH. I activated the scooter and being a first time user I could not figure out how to get the thing started (only for exactly 43 seconds) yet somehow the scooter recorded that I rode 0.27 miles at 16.4 mph even though the scooter was completely stationary (this being because I could not even figure out how to get it started!) I was charged $1.35 for literally standing next to the bike. I finally figured it out (not knowing I was charged for false miles) and rode 0.24 miles to my destination where I was charged another $3.24. I had only loaded Glide wallet with 7 dollars and already I was ripped off $4.59 for riding less than 3 minutes.... I am so infuriated this thing is a complete scam, it sucked all my money for not even 5 minutes of riding and even charged me when I wasn’t riding and lied and said I had rode a certain amount of miles at some crazy speed. DO NOT USE THE this app SCOOTER. That was the first and last time I will ever use this piece of junk scam.

PS: This is my second review/rating ever (my first one is below) that tells you how incredibly dissatisfied and angry I am with this company that I need to voice my hatred and make sure no one else uses this trash again.

Every time I try to sign up it says the user already exists... piece of junk doesn’t work. They need to throw Glide out completely and start over.

I had a great time with my scooter. It was user friendly

They’re great and all but it would be nice if you could rent more than one scooter at the same time with the same account and also sometimes idk if it’s because I was going uphill but it wouldn’t go like at all and sometimes they just don’t want to go so you have to look for another one. Also the map sometimes isn’t that persistent so I would love to see all those updates in the future and I’ll for sure give y’all the 5 stars!
