Summary of Proton VPN Problems 🔥

- Almost all reviews were bad because the person just did not know where to look to change a preference or just does not know anything about how a VPN works.

- I had initially signed on for a year of ProtonVPN and found it to be very frustrating to use on my iPhone.

- Under no circumstances would I purchase this product.

- Disconnects randomly, often won’t tell you, or will say it’s connected to a server but be unusable.

- The application has a critical bug where the VPN connection disconnects when a iPhone is locked.

- I have experienced this issue on 3 models of iPhones and actually stopped subscribing to the service in June 2020 because of this issue.

- Now 18 months later I signed up to try out ProtonVPN due to the WireGuard protocol support and I assumed this critical bug would have been corrected. The bug is still present after all that time and people use this VPN completely unaware their IP is leaking almost every time they lock their phone.

I've re-downloaded and installed windows version of proton vpn software an when I run it it only shows a small window with quick connect. if I click the link in the app for proton vpn then the full app opens up but the screen is corrupted and the app does not work.. all I can do is quit.

Launch Proton and it starts and then immedialtely closes. Downloaded a newer version and same thing happens.
