+1 on personal info
No thanks. App is totally useless without providing my phone number. I can’t even add my EV nor see a map of J1772 and SAE Combo stations around me without providing such info. No thanks. Sticking with Plugshare and a few apps from local providers like ChargePoint, EVgo and EA. I don’t know who you are. You really don’t need to know my personal info. I don’t want my info stolen in a data breach. The more personal info I gave to more parties, the greater the attack surface and greater the chance that I will be an identity theft victim.

Requires a cell phone number to use
No thanks. I recommend PlugShare that doesn’t require any personal info at all, much less a phone number. Don’t tell me a phone number is required “for security”. It most certified is NOT. Just be honest why you want that. I wouldn’t store any private info in this app anyway, so why would I need a higher level of security than any e-commerce site that doesn’t require a phone number? It’s not logical.

No. You don’t need my cell phone number
Requires your cell phone number to use the app. Maybe my email but you don’t get to have my cell phone number. The reason given is they want to make your account secure is bogus. My email is secure as well. I won’t use your app if that is the requirement. Plenty of other similar apps out there that don’t!
