Registration info is still blank (see previous reviewer’s description) when trying to add it to the wallet app. Latest update (1.1.3) was supposed to fix this, but no dice. Maybe next year.

Update: To respond to the developer’s note, I’d have to ask why the registration would need to be hidden after adding it to the Wallet app, since security measures are already in place in order to access it in the first place. Having to add our registration to the wallet and then having to go back to the DMV app to view it simply makes no sense at all. Why not just let us add the registration to the wallet for easy access and be done with it?

I’ve written two prior reviews which were not posted. I would rate zero stars if I could. I attempted to renew my registration and DCDMV stated each time that it could not process the payment. However, when I checked my bank account, teach attempt to renew was charged to my account. So, the effort of having to reach out to my financial institution has been frustrating as the money will be temporarily put back in my account, but if it will processes they’ll the ban will take the money back out then I’ll have to work with the city to get my money back. Ugh!

The digital vehicle registration appears in DCDMV , but when I try to save it to iPhone wallet, it gives me an error message: “ERROR we are experiencing some technical issues, please try again in some more time.” I hope you will fix this as re-entering all of the registration information in DCDMV over and over is a little time consuming. Can’t wait to get a digital DL.

For those that use an Apple Card, DCDMV makes it difficult by not allowing you to paste your card number or swipe back and forth between DCDMV and the Apple Wallet app to see your card number. Every time you switch back to DCDMV, it erases whatever part of the card number you have already entered.

Real DMV does not tell you this “app” is not instant (why make it in the 1st place) they can’t even see any payments you make on this “app” on top of that, after you make a payment the “app” just says insufficient funds if “even if you have thousands in the account” & shuts off with no chance of a receipt or ANY proof you paid “even if you show where they pulled money from your bank they WILL WITH A STRAIGHT FACE say we don’t have anything to do with DCDMV that THEY refer you too.

The latest update supposedly allows you to add your registration to the apple wallet. To do so, you enter tag number, last 5 of VIN and birthdate of owner. But, DCDMV only allows the current date to be entered which makes the new features worthless. Most other functions are "coming soon", but don't hold your breath.

Update: developer responds finally and says to update to the latest version as if that made a difference. This is not the DC government’s best digital effort but keep trying.

The system keeps stating that there is an error in the system try back later. I see the confirmation on the screen that the tickets have been paid; however not able to get emails confirming payments process. I even have a confirmation number as well.

Then when I go back into the system it’s still showing up as that I still owe these tickets!!!

App simply doesn’t work. Service is always down when trying to get a replacement DL. Guess I’ll have to wait until June of next year just to get an appointment to get this done. Developer will claim that upgrade to new version will fix the problem (which i am using the most recent version that they will ask to upgrade to) but it didn’t...

But it’s DC, I shouldn’t be surprised on level service from the DMV and official offices

Every process was simple and very user friendly , however I was unable to send a receipt to my email address. It responded Technical Error.😕

Once you have all of your information the rest is history because the website walks you through each step. “ALL GOOD”

Digital registrations added to apple wallet don’t actually work. It adds a card but almost all the information is missing from the card.

I complained about this issue previously and got a response from the developer claiming that it was fixed, so I updated DCDMV and tried again. Nope! Still broken in the latest version.

I tried renewing my registration and it gave me an error message. However, the fee has been deducted from my account. Now I have to spend the valuable time (I tried saving by using DCDMV ) by now calling and trying to get my money back or actually applied to my registration renewal since it still shows as expired. What a headache!

With payments I’ve had to screenshot and write down my transaction numbers due online saying try again later and errors but payment was taken out of my account.

I needed to renew my personal vehicle’s Registration Certificate and Residential Parking Permit. The DC DMV app interaction was fast, easy to understand, and simple. It took minutes to complete. Keep it simple.

Thanks for fixing the problem with the registration uploading! Will be a convenient way to carry it around.

Gives me access to the dmv electronically. Skips the line! Great user experience.

It’s really good to see all the DMV services at one place.

Unable to renew my registration because I need to have an inspection done. DCDMV prompts me to hit “continue” to have a temporary registration issued, however, there is no “continue” command to hit. The only option is the green “next” button which just throws up the same error message again.

Scheduling appoints to take either the drivers test or the knowledge test or even scheduling to try to get a are what I thought was also important are not even available on DCDMV . You can’t even schedule to get a new I’d. Only renew or replace.

I like the idea of DCDMV. I would like it more if you could sign in and save your information. Having to memorize the last five numbers in your VIN number is a little annoying. I would rather enter it once and be done with it.
I will update my review when the other options are released.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The sole reason I downloaded DCDMV was to get a digital copy of my vehicle’s registration. Please fix and I will update my review.

A year has passed since I installed and still no improvements. Waste of time really.
