Such potential to be useful, but so disappointing! First, it seems overly centered on using MySizeID to find measurements. Not only is this unnecessary (tape measures have existed for ages and are widely available, and are sure to be accurate), but it’s also a deal-breaker if, like me, MySizeID doesn't seem to work on the first few tries). Second, MySizeID only involves a couple of measurements. If you want pants that fit, you will need not only hip measurement, but also waist, inseam, rise. Without including these measurements, MySizeID doesn’t see to do much more for a customer than to point her in a general direction, at which point there is still the high likelihood of the pants not fitting in the flattering way. Finally—and I could not test this 100% because it could not let me input my measurements manually even though i tried a couple of times with MySizeID ’s technology—it does not seem to be the push that retailers need to fully disclose the dimensions of their clothing (e.g, inseam in most cases, rise in most cases), so that customers can truly tell in advance if these dimensions match their own. MySizeID makers clearly are more focused on deploying a fancy measuring technology rather than improving the shopping experience for women.
