DHL Express Reviews

As others have said, I have FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc and I also use the LastPass app to auto fill my passwords. The DHL iOS app will not load after I enter my password and then press login. Delete and reinstall with the latest update does not help the situation. From the text message, long press the tracking number and I get a new window and a quick response from the DHL website directly. Suggestion for iOS dev, rebuild from scratch. Your existing baseline is critically flawed and a waste of time and memory space. I need to track my products from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Far East locations. And yes I only use DHL International Services. But this iOS app is for the dogs. It just doesn’t work. Clean sheet it, and rebuild it with a different perspective because the old one is completely broken. Sorry but that is bottom line. February 28th, 2020. App deleted.

I’ve gotten three shipments thru DHL from two countries in Asia and in each case DHLExpress only told me WHEN the item was picked up by DHL from the sender overseas. However, more important details like passing customs, when it is in-transit stateside, the expected delivery date, or when it is out for delivery were never updated on DHLExpress . I would get texts to my phone with vague, but at least real-time, updates. In sum, DHL spent a lot of time and money on creating an app which is relatively useless for my needs as an end user. Be ashamed DHL, be ashamed!

I don’t know how it may be for other users, but as for myself, DHLExpress does not launch. When I tap on DHLExpress icon on the Home Screen of my iPhone XS Max, currently running on iOS 12.2, all I am left with is DHLExpress splash screen, which is a photo of 3 people (most probably a family) being jolly with unpacking a parcel delivered by DHL. The fact DHLExpress does not launch as it should/any further, currently makes it utterly useless

Why would anyone use DHL? They’re the worst delivery company in existence. I submitted a delivery change and it still got delivered to the original address over an hour away from the new address. They blamed USPS & wouldn’t take responsibility. Way to go. They now rate right up there with FedEx. Do yourself a favor & use someone else for shipping. Pay the extra $$. It’ll be better than DHL that’s for sure.

. DHLExpress would not recognise my existing DHL account. I had to set up a new one and that was also a waste of time. It gave the nearest service point was 25 miles away whereas a simple Google map search gave me 10 that were closer. Navigating through their website is not intuitive or user friendly. FEDEX and UPS have taken the time to create apps that work seamlessly. Why can’t a huge company like DHL do it? It’s shamefull

Where to even begin. First, you get a DHL tracking number and try to use it on DHLExpress and it always shows it as an invalid number. You have to track down ( within DHLExpress ) the proper place to track your package. DHLExpress NEVER shows progress of your package , never tells you when you will receive your package …not even sure why they have DHLExpress….waste of space on your phone…

This review isn’t about DHLExpress , it’s about the fact that I paid $200 dollars for some shoes that they were supposed to deliver to me and come to find out that 3 weeks later they LOST THE PACKAGE!! How does that even happen? Not to mention I had to call back FIVE TIMES in those three weeks about the status of my package because nobody from DHL called me back with updates like they said they would. Ridiculous and horrible service.

DHLExpress is just awful, in order for you to get your tracking info it forces you to sign up, and even after that the tracking info isn’t accurate. I waited a whole week for a package and no tracking info was provided except for the original delivery date. My advice to everyone is, if you can use a different delivery method go for, let this company be your last option and that includes delivering the package yourself.

Zero stars if I could. Without question the worst app I’ve ever used. I just can’t log in with DHLExpress . I am copying and pasting the login info so know it is correct, and can look at the password and see it is correct, but DHLExpress tells me “the combination of email or mobile and password is invalid.” I use the same log in info in a web browser, I log in fine. App deleted.

Thought the mobile app would be great, it’s honestly one of the worst apps I have ever used. I had to waste a solid 10-15 minutes signing up (working in a technology based field, I should not have had to take this long) and creating a DHL profile. Then I do that and DHLExpress is so unresponsive, having to click on the same button multiple times, slow loading, etc. I had to delete and reinstall because it was just on a pure white screen whenever I loaded the all up.

DHLExpress is great for tracking but fairly useless for anything else.

DHL did not test DHLExpress, the UI is inconsistent and badly designed.

Cut and paste is not supported.

You can’t copy a waybill number from the top of the tracking details page. Selecting text is disabled in that view.

In the “in transit” details subview on the “to me” view, if you try to select the waybill number it takes you to tracking details. Even though there is a link highlighted on the right. Really it should allow the waybill to be selected to allow a text cut operation. It should change view only if the link is selected via a touch event.

You can’t paste anything in the chat “how may we help you” text box (so if you want to supply a waybill number accurately you’ll need to flip between DHLExpress and somewhere else, or write it down and attempt to enter it accurately which is hard to do on a small keyboard)

If you have a problem with customs clearance (and since DHL ships a lot from Europe, I this is likely) DHLExpress is horrible.

I don’t know why I didn’t listen to the reviews. You can accomplish literally NOTHING on DHLExpress. Fist, it doesn’t recognize my address as an address, once I added a providence(?) it let me move past that screen, mind you, there was no place to add my unit number. Then, said I had no deliveries. And said my tracking number was not valid. The number I copied FROM THEIR EMAIL. It makes send though. The only working app is the one you have to give them money for. Nope. I have choice words for the worst shipment company on the planet, but I can’t use such language in a review. Completely idiotic. 0/10 recommend.

I just need to check status given a tracking number and DHLExpress is requiring tons of information from me and force me to sign up before using it.

The process of signing up is really buggy. It always says no networking while there is. The keyboard overlapped the input boxes. The enable touch ID switch does nothing but freezes DHLExpress for a second.

Besides, the search button should be an actual button that tells the user you can press the button and do something, not a magnifier in the input box. Mostly what’s in the input box is not clickable.

Two main issues preventing me from even trying DHLExpress out: - The email I use for DHL is not accepted, presumably because it has a plus (“+”) in it. Why doesn’t DHLExpress use the same email validation process as the DHL website?!? - DHLExpress doesn’t work with password managers. It doesn’t recognize that an email has been pasted into the login field, and when you tap the field, it deletes its contents. Would love to use DHLExpress but it’s literally not possible. Deleting.

Edit: DHL responded and asked me to email them with “more info.” More info than what? I have a detailed explanation here. And I don’t get response from emailing, so why bother?

Seeing the reviews it’s not worth my time to even try and the last update was 2 months ago according to DHLExpress Store and it’s still only version 1! The reviews I read was over a year ago so they really need to start from scratch and rebuild DHLExpress like one of the reviews I read! I’m pretty sure someone that develops apps as a side job on like fiver or whatnot would be able to do a much better job! Whoever made this needs to rethink their “work” put into it if there even was any...

Unable to save my primary address. I believe it is because, using the search function by typing in my street name and and then selecting the address with the correct city, it populates the city field as St. Louis and then shows an error about the city name. I then manually enter Saint Louis in the city field and the error resolves but it does not allow me to save the address.

When attempting to confirm my email address, I did receive the email and clicked on the link but it said the link has expired, despite it having just been sent seconds ago, and the message directs the user to DHLExpress to have an email resent. I do not see where to request an email to be resent.

I think my title captures it all. This is the slowest loading and running shipping app. I have USPS, FedEx, and UPS apps as well and they are really fast and responsive.

The DHL app...it’s probably just as fast to open a browser on your phone, log in, and copy/paste your DHL tracking number from your email by the time you actually get DHLExpress to take you to any screen providing useful information.

I use the same information as I would on the website, but can’t log in. App is useless

EDIT: turns out that this wasn’t even DHLExpress I needed. What i needed was DHL Paket, which i had to change my App Store region for(US -> DE) . DHL Paket works great. I can’t speak for DHLExpress, so I’ll bump the rating to a 3 star, assuming it works as it’s intended to.

Really want ability to live track and see progress on map so I could let couriers deliver packages inside garage or home.

I was hesitant at first to download DHLExpress because of all the negative reviews. But they seemed a bit dated, so I figured, “What do I have to lose?” Right? I could always delete it and go to the company website on my computer. Turns out DHLExpress was sufficient for my needs and I had no problems at all.
None.
Zero.
Zilch.
Nada.
So having said that here on Tuesday, June 9th 2020 it would appear that at least it works just Jim Dandy on my antiquated iPhone 5S that I prefer because it fits into my front pocket.
So, maybe they fixed the issues without any fanfare or something.
I opened a free account and changed a couple things about the way I wanted the package shipped that was heading my way without ANY problems.
Be nice if people would give some props when developers actually fix problems but this is the world we live in.

I used to be able to log in. Once inside, it was super slow and non intuitive. Now I can’t even log in. My password is correct, it’s just that the login button doesn’t do anything. DHL really not doing so hot here

Since the last update everything is messed up!
My email address are not found any longer but my phone is used with other account. What was the update about? Before everything worked pretty good!

DHLExpress is junk. It is cumbersome to use and forget about using any advanced features like paying import duties/taxes. The DHL website is even worse so you’re stuck either way. It seems the browser functionality built into DHLExpress doesn’t work properly or at all, where pages don’t load or are super zoomed in and you can scroll or zoom out.

Downloaded DHLExpress to track an inbound shipments from businesses. Basically it’s useless. Input tracking number into DHLExpress and told there is no such shipment with that number. Tracking number works just fine on the website. Please fix it....

Whoever designed DHLExpress need mental help. Signing up is aggravating. Touch ID makes no sense how they’d integrated. Theirs nothing good I can try to say.

So for actually tracking doesn’t track crap. I can use tracking number in browser works fine but for app never works.

Why develop something to just anger customers? Why publish this garbage?

freeWoo@35 that’s the password that I made up to login. Yet DHLExpress doesn’t accept it even though it meets the password criteria.
Also layout inputs jump all around the screen for example re enter password is hidden behind next button when keyboard is shown. Also I just want to track a package, this should be a simple processs. No app support.

You are able to complete the entire registration process without issue. Once it kicks you out to log in that's where you will remain until you get frustrated and close DHLExpress forever!!!

I’ve ordered from DHL more than once and every time I do it’s a great experience, customer service is really nice and helpful and DHLExpress helps out to show the current progress of the packages which is great, I would recommend DHLExpress.

I’m sorry but all thos 1 star reviews are just people who don’t know how to use DHLExpress

Hi I downloaded the dhl app today and since then I'm getting ph calls from people saying they got a txt from my number saying it's from dhl and theres a parcel to be collected
