Way too many ads!!!

I’ve been playing for a couple months and really enjoying the game, different levels of difficulty, decorating, following the story etc. I’ve liked this developers games for some time and play 4 on a regular basis. This one had become the one I spend the most time on… until last night. I took it down 2 stars because they now make you watch an ad before you start every level! I get ads- developers make money off them so they can develop more games. I can tolerate them on occasion (every 5 levels is fine) but this is way too much! I complete most levels the first or second attempt and typically play at least 2 hrs a night(weekends more), only takes about 2 mins or less to complete a level plus 2 mins for the ad (which is timed) , so that is about 15 ads an hour I watched last night! To make it worse, at end of some ads it locks up program and have to close and open program- only to have to watch it again before you can play (happened 4 times last night). Oh you can turn ads off- 99 cents for 30 days or 1.99 for life- but with this many ads it feels like pay or we will make your life miserable- or option 3 - delete game. I’ll give it a couple days to see if they change it (they have in their other games) but if not it will be bye bye.,

Changed my mind!!!!

I absolutely loved this game. The designs were awesome, the storyline amazingly interesting. But, once I got to levels 240ish on up, the game became unbearably difficult with NO rewards on most levels. When you fight that hard it makes you want to quit. The idea is to get you to buy coins but there is no way to get needed power ups. The game stopped progressing, so I’m sadly out. Even if you buy coins like I did it becomes unbearably tedious. So sad for so much potential. The teams were disappointing. The leaders often quit leaving you with no team. I was constantly giving out lives, and got much less back. The good teams don’t like newbies. I quickly got to prestige level five, but got kicked off my first team because I had the lowest prestige points I suppose. Your not told why, but I gave out more lives than anyone. They were all prestige levels 4 and 5. I was only a 1. Only took me 5 days to get to five. After that the teams often would quickly dissolve leaving inactivity. Fun! Difficult. Rewarding, slow paced. Then unrewarding. DONE! BTW people are asked to leave a review early in the game before it got nearly impossible to go forward.

Fun & creative + best customer service!

I love Vineyard Valley! This game is clever, fun, and taps in to my secret interior designer self. I enjoy the mini-games and love being able to make design choices. The characters are fun and interesting. I like that I can make choices that affect their storylines as well.

I recently had an issue in which I couldn’t get the game to load. I reached out to support/customer service and worked with Dalia. They helped me troubleshoot and gave me lots of helpful tips to try and resolve the issues. With lots of back and forth, Dalia was able to help me recover my progress with minimal loss and was a joy to work with. They were sympathetic and kind and helped me get back to playing the game quickly. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with customer service app folks!

Don’t bother

Dont get me wrong i like the game for the storyline however when you lose 50 times there is something wrong here i buy in games but found with this game you lose more spending why buy anything if you lose at this ratio i have been told that losing builds a challenge and makes it more interesting well with me all it does is frustrate you and i want and will invest in a game if the win to lose ratio is somewhat balanced at first it seems ok but as you progress it gets worse so bad that you forget where the story left off i like the game for the story however how can you get the story when you lose 50 times before you win 1 game i will be deleting VineyardValley and not invest any more and if you do not see my point now you will once you get to higher level and although it is expected to get harder it is not expected to continuously lose to the point you forget the storyline that is how bad it is i would not bother with this game i will miss the characters but i am not getting the story anyway so i will find another good luck to those that stay with this game oh and i did count the games lost because there was nothing else to do but count since you lose so much

Vineyard Valley

In general the game is very intricate and detailed. I personally love this game!😁🤯I was blown away by the storyline and one other thing that impressed me was that there are a lot of little details the player always have to keep in mind when about to 🤔purchase something, make a big decision, or even leveling up! One thing that is very irritating about this game is that when about to do a task, you must have enough levels to do so but most of the time you don’t. Therefore, you must earn some more by doing a simple mini game that gets harder and harder each level. This makes the game much more annoying at parts and causes the player to be motivated or (like I did for a bit) rage quit. 🤭I know I sounds like I am trying to point out every little bad thing I can think of, but that’s not the case, I very much am impressed by this game and I find it very enjoyable. I would like you to make this a little easier for the player. Remember to always fix the little things so the big thing will become perfect 👌😍I haven’t seen a game like this in quite a while and will love 💕 to watch the game progress! Keep up the great 👍🏻 work!

-A fan

Anything past level 217?

I would give Vineyard Valley 5 stars if it weren’t for the small glitches (1)get notification to go barrel room but there is no barrel room button on main page- this happened multiple times but appears fixed at least for now (2) when entering VineyardValley -all rooms show as a black screen and it slowly updates one-by-one- this only recently started happening even when on full bars on cellphone cell and WiFi (3) when click on developer help -it links to another app help page otherwise I would have put this feedback on the support page (4) chat window is so tiny, I can’t even read it! Finally- I am constantly getting sent to the barrel room because I ‘blasted through the levels fast’. Are you still developing VineyardValley beyond level 217? I LOVE this game but feels like it was launched a little early and it’s frustrating to be stuck on a level with no idea when the next chapter will be available to complete. Maybe that’s just a sign that I love playing this game! It is hands down my favorite app but wondering if I should take a break for a few weeks while the new levels are being built?

Good Game, Needs some Bugs Worked Out

I do really love this game! It’s super fun, and pretty addicting. However, there are a couple issues that really need to be worked out. First off, the game randomly crashes quite frequently. It’s mostly annoying when you’re in the middle of playing a level, the game crashes and then you automatically lose a life because of it. Quite a few times though, I’ve had the game crash RIGHT when I played my last move and beat a level I’ve been working on for a while, so then the game doesn’t register that I actually beat that level and I have to spend ages trying to beat it again. That part is enough to make me rage quit lol. The second issue is the extra lives you receive. Even when I’m sent the full five lives, I usually only get 2 or 3 or those lives. A couple instances, it’s only gifted me one life. Quite a few frustrating issues that would make the game far less stressful and much more enjoyable if they were worked out. Other than that, it is a fun game! Yes it does get really hard at times, but that’s usually not a huge problem.

I’m addicted to this game

I’ve been playing this game for a while and am currently on level 2076. The graphics are really good and the storyline is entertaining. The game does glitch or crash pretty often though, and it’s sometimes difficult to pass a level with the few lives they give you at a time.

I think it could be a really cool idea to allow the players to save our “unlimited lives” boosts until we choose to use them, rather than getting them (sometimes randomly), and having it automatically apply right then. A lot of times, I am just playing a quick level or two at work or before going somewhere and then I get the boost and it’s wasted. I’d rather be able to save it for when I get off and can play for a longer period of time. I had 6 hours of unlimited lives that I’d accumulated one night from a really good streak I was on, daily rewards, event rewards, and ending a chapter, but it was already 2 am at that point and I had to go to sleep, so I ended up losing 6 hours of unlimited lives.

I’m on the fence with this game.

It started out alright. Enough challenge to keep me playing and a storyline that wasn’t completely boring. Then it started getting to be more chatter than play and I found myself just wanting to skip all the character interactions. By the time I hit level 40 the kitchen cooking scenes were really getting annoying. You see her making the motions to open the oven but you never see the oven open. Instead she shoves nothing through the closed oven door and retrieves it the same way. Sure it is a minor issue but it detracts from the look and feel of the game very quickly. But the time I hit the triple digit levels I was finding some of the levels were starting to get so difficult that it seemed like you might have to start buying crap to continue. Usually that’s the point where I just scrap the game, delete all the content and mark it a FAIL.

Sorry, with the abundance of FREE games out there if you want me to spend real cash on your game, you better make sure it is seamless, bug free, challenge worthy and has game play interesting enough to hold my attention.

So far...this game misses!

Frustrated player :(

I have been playing for a while now everything was good until I downloaded the first update about a month ago. They came out with a new one yesterday I did download the new update that just came out yesterday but it’s still crashing I’m still losing coins and star points every time I try to get something it freezes or closes automatically. The Kai challenges where the daily challenges are keeps telling lost internet connection. Before you tell me it is my internet let me just say this it’s NOT. I’m playing on my I-pad where I did download the first update that was doing the same thing as it is right now so still no fix with that being said I can play on my I-phone where I never downloaded any of these updates and I Have NO PROBLEM playing it does not freeze, it doesn’t say no internet, it don’t force close, and I sure don’t lose lives, coins,or points. I have lost countless lives and over 10,000 coins since all the started. And as for as the star points I have lost well over 800 points. I like the game but I’m tired of losing everything that I played to build. Very frustrating.

I’ve played better

In all honesty, it’s possible that I’m a bit biased. I’m also playing another game similar to this with a young woman fixing up her aunt’s garden. Can’t get enough of it. And in comparison, this one is nowhere near as good. The power ups aren’t as powerful unless you combine them and even then they just aren’t very effective, making the levels much harder early on.
The coins you need to buy furniture to upgrade your prestige, or whatever it is, is hard to come by. You either need to play a bunch of levels and just settle for the less nice free furniture until you can afford one single better upgrade or pay real money since there are no daily gifts or sign ins. I’m also not as into being some faceless all powerful being in the sky, but that may just be a personal preference.

Characters are nice, furniture is well designed (when you can afford it), and story seems like it could be interesting, if a little cliched so far. Overall I’ve gotten to the point where I only play this if I’m bored out of my skull. Which is not often. I can’t imagine this will stay much longer on my phone.

Loved it, until…

This game was proving to be one of my favorites … until like so many other games, it became so difficult to beat the levels you just don’t enjoy playing anymore. I really wish app developers would understand we love to play design games for the designing! … not because we have a desire to become the world leader at defeating insanely difficult match levels. I’m only on level 7 and I’m now replaying the same level over and over and over because it’s too difficult to complete. Far too many “hard” levels, but even some that aren’t deemed to be “hard” take multiple attempts to complete.
If this improves I’ll keep playing this game because I love the design elements of the vineyard as well as the storyline behind the game. The designs are beautiful and modern and the story with the characters is entertaining and fun.
I just really hope they update this game so that players can actually continue playing!

Needs improvements

Let me start this review by saying it really is a good game or at least it could be a very good game with a few minor updates. The game is rather slow moving and I want to emphasis this by saying no it doesn’t lag or freeze or anything of that sort, I mean once the level is over it’s just really slow to finally get back to the regular screen. The biggest update that it needs is every other game on the planet offers their players one free daily gift this game does not and that’s a huge letdown because at least speaking for me I look forward to my daily free gift every day it’s a thank you from the developers for being a loyal player so where’s the incentive from you guys to keep your loyal players? if you’re not going to give me a daily gift I’m sure not gonna spend my hard earned money on this game. I do enjoy the storyline behind the game. If you’re just looking for a game to pass the time this is a good one but if you’re looking for a game that’s going to keep your interest day in and day out maybe keep looking.

Good game, small issue

I really wanted to make this a 5 star review. I play a lot of "design" games, primarily match-3 because I don't usually like blast games. This one doesn't go nuts with making levels so weird that it's frustrating to play, and as such it's one of the few blast games I'll keep. The in-play prices are on par with other games of the type, but the rewards are much better.

The story leaves a few questions (if Simone's family were the original owners, why does Margret own it now?) but there's still plenty to do to answer them, and it's actually an amusing story. Also, love the cat.

However! There is an ongoing issue where the movements of the characters stutter, the cat slides across the floor, and randomly, everything freezes. On its own, that wouldn't be a large problem, but the issues leak over into game play. Play events (bubbles, removals, drops) happen slowly, and sometimes not smoothly. The spin event has gone to a frozen pale background the last five times (and even after a full tablet reboot). Loading screens just stop loading, needing to close and restart the game, and "hard" levels bug on startup. This has gotten MUCH worse since the addition of the prize wheel after hard levels. It's acting considerably like a memory leak.

Fix the ongoing issue, and this becomes a 5-star game.

Glitch city

There are so many glitches it is impossible to play this game. I cannot finish a level, I cannot do the events, I cannot win the special events furniture in the time limit, I cannot change up the furniture, I cannot move around the locations, I sometimes cannot even open the game. If they do not perminately fix all these glitches soon I may delete this game, and I have been playing this game for a long time and love it.

Just downloaded the latest update and it is still just as bad as before. And I am pretty mad that I was unable to complete the special furniture event before the time ran out because of all the glitches preventing me from doing anything. And what does the company do? Tells us to submit a report to their website and then their website keeps telling you that something went wrong and your complaint was not submitted. Even after multiple tries and verifications. I am seriously considering just deleting VineyardValley now. Not like there aren’t plenty of other restaurant renovating app games.

How much do I lo.................

............(sorry, but VineyardValley has crashed, again)!!

That seems like all your dang game can do anymore. At this point, I’ve lost track of how many lives I’ve lost. Or how many times I’ve gotten 30 mins or one hour of unlimited lives, but then I can’t use them because all the game will do is crash. I understand that you’re going to have some technical issues from time to time, but this has been going on for like two weeks now. It’s beyond annoying and aggravating at this point. I just don’t understand what y’all did to screw up your own game. Or, why you can’t seem to fix your own stupid screw up!! At this point, your game has become a total piece of crap and a huge failure. If the problem isn’t fixed within the next 2 or 3 days, I’ll happily take my time and business elsewhere. Maybe it’s time to start paying your techs some overtime pay. Or, it may just be time to find their replacements! Just do something productive.

Fun, but...

I like the game. The graphics are nice, the story is a little wordy, but, ok. I enjoy the renovations and decorating. The FRUSTRATING thing about it, though, is that it always LOCKS UP on the puzzle screen and CONSTANTLY CRASHES! Sometime restarting VineyardValley will move you forward as it should, but sometimes you lose the last game and star and have to replay the puzzle. I want to continue with this, but the crashes are getting to be too annoying.
I have read other reviewer that are having similar issues so I hope you can resolve whatever the problem is, or I may have to delete VineyardValley.
Update:
I have tried everything listed on your support page. The game has become unplayable. It’s really a shame. So many reviews list these same issues and you can’t or won’t fix the technical problems. This could have been a 5 star review if I could actually play the game that now will not move past the opening screen that keeps opening the same prize box over and over and won’t allow anything else to run.

Was fun at first

I really enjoyed this game, at first. It’s fun candy crush style puzzles, and you get to redecorate and repair a hotel and vineyard. However, my issue came when the “updates” they were doing weren’t really updates at all, and I can’t even play the game anymore. Once you reach chapter 25 you’re basically done. There’s plenty of stuff to improve but they don’t have the rooms ready, which makes no sense to me. Then when they do an update promising “more chapters” it’s like half a chapter and then you’re done again. Also I’ve noticed with a lot of the new chapters they’re not even giving you options to choose from decor and stuff. It’s one option, take it or leave it, even if you don’t like it. I haven’t really played in over a month because I have 70 something tokens to do tasks and nothing to spend them on. It’s become quite boring and I’m thinking of deleting it tbh.

By

Games have lots of Glitches

Fun to play. Tasks are not too difficult. But start a new task and the game will suddenly shut down. Open it up to start again 1-3 lives are gone. As I play more I’ll add more details. I’m now at level 557. It kicks me out. The difficulty of the task is not too bad but some of the created bottle rockets and barrel bombs don’t function the same. I’ve contact help about loss items and level advancement in the game. I get the same reply. Shut down the game close and shut down the device reset my router. But it does not resolve the issue. Now I’m at chapter 34 and I get a coming soon. 😱I’m through the story and it’s not finished. I suggested you not waste money on anything other than coin after level 500 Then if you choose to buy utensils use your coins. No need to play puzzles if I can’t participate in story.

Studying a language?

This is a nice game-driven story using the Blast mechanic, but over and above that, the Language option offers every major European language as well as Japanese, Korean, and two Chinese languages, one with modern simplified characters and one with traditional. The Russian, at least, is good enough to satisfy my native-speaker wife, and it’s a heck of a lot more fun than flash cards; it offers colloquial usage on a narrow range of topics, so you’ll spend time noticing usage rather than looking up lots of words. I wish I had had this game when I was starting third-year Russian, but even after the fourth year it’s helping me a lot.

Designers of this game: you should seriously consider advertising this aspect of your game. I’d gladly have paid $25 or more for it back in the day.

I Loved this game! It had some glitches here and there, but they worked them out. That being said in January of 22 I was told I was all caught up and more would be coming soon but to play on to get stars and coins. I am now in November and deleting because it’s just taking up space on my phone!🤷🏻‍♀️
