Nautide: Tides, Wind, Waves + Reviews

Nautide has EVERYTHING you are looking for. If you’re a beach goer, surfer, or angler like myself, there is no other app like it. It tells you everything you need to know and more, and if you do fish, compiles all of the data to tell you fishing activity. I can tell you first hand as well that it is all accurate. Wind, tide, surf, water pressure, moon phase, and more. I do not write a lot of reviews. It’s only when I use an app for a month straight that I will do, and this exceeded what I was expecting. I’ve had 0 issues with Nautide and is a must install for anyone near the ocean that goes regularly.

Nautide is a great app when it allows you to see information you were looking for. I simply want to know when High and low tide is so I know where to park my beach chair. Every time I open Nautide , Nautide change to the screen that asks you to purchase the extended version. There is an X to close this screen. Except it won’t close. There’s also a little bell Says don’t show the screen again, again, except nothing happens when you tap the screen. It stays frozen. There’s no way to close it. It’s so frustrating.

As someone who likes to fish I find myself with several different apps to gather information to go fishing. Nautide has it all in one place. I find the layout easy to read and understand and the information is logically placed. Only thing I could ask for now is version such as this for inland freshwater information.

I’ve used Nautide for years and paid for it annually. It’s great and I love the interface. Recently though, Nautide only allows me to view information of the current day and requires me to watch an ad every time I want to see information for future days. I won’t be buying it again and will miss it.

App is great, one thing I would like to suggest is to add a toggle to follow iOS’s dark mode setting. Since I use auto dark mode (light mode during day and dark mode during night) Nautide doesn’t follow that, and instead just stays in either light or dark mode.

While you can get the actual data for free from various websites, the presentation, lack of ads and having it all in one place is worth the subscription fee for the data pack (a buck and change a month when you divide it out)

Works great on iPhone 7S and iPad Air.

I was excited about Nautide finally coming out on phone and have waited a long time for this. I guess you are trying to pay back the development costs or something... but i have to say that paying for the data is just not worth it for me when you have all the data for free on your tides4fishing website.

Why pay for data when this information is free on the website. Most people have 4G now and you can get all the data online for free. Annual data won’t show things like barometric pressure or weather...

The ads are a bit irritating too. I accidentally click on it when I was in the office and a loud game popped up (not good)

I used the website all the time regularly, I was very excited when Nautide came out. I was then very disappointed to see I have to pay to gain access to the same information that’s free on the website (tides4fishing). This seems very poorly planned, for this reason I don’t use Nautide and instead go to where I can get the same information without paying. Pretty disappointing.

This product is the most complete and useful app I have seen, IMO, and it always works! If you want more detail about weather, tides and fishing times, I highly recommend it. During hurricane Florence it was indispensable.

There are too many tabs and it is hard to get an overall sense whether to go fishing or not. There should be an index page that show the summary of all the different tabs.

Downloaded and used, realized what I wanted had to pay some money, so…., paid the money, nothing happened, checked apple to see if my money went through, check, tried to contact the developer…….cricket sounds all around, deleted Nautide out of shear frustration. Could be a good app when opened but I will never know.

The free version of Nautide is pretty useless. Ads cannot be closed except by going to the advertiser’s website, and any wrong tap sends you to the purchase a data pack page that is difficult to get out of. Unless you are going to spend $40 per year for a single area package it’s easier to use the website.

I did like Nautide until the offer for premium service kept popping up and froze Nautide , there’s a button that says do not show this ad again however the button doesn’t work neither does the close this ad button it forces you to get out of Nautide log out and re-login.

Nautide Is great for fishing close by but the problem that I have is how do you switch it for places 50,60 miles out maybe 100 miles out or all over the state of California

Nautide requires money if you want to view the next day of information. Which means you cannot use it to plan anything unless you pay for a “data pack”. Great for same day stuff, but you can just walk outside and get that…lol.

Nautide is so visually appealing, I can’t imagine anything better. Super accurate, all the information you need. I’m even ditching my weather apps. This is well worth the money.

Have been using for over a year .. this is my go to app to determine when I go boating & fishing .. lots of info in a single app with great interface.

Nautide would be 5 stars if it offered a widget for your Notification Center. I paid for the full version and it’s disappointing that it doesn’t have this feature...

The price for information that’s free to me elsewhere seems a little steep. Although Nautide seems wonderfully thought out, I’ll likely just continue to use the tides4fishing website or another app.

It would be great if it has te time for dawn and dusk

Nautide is super easy to use. Perfect for anyone who needs to know what the water conditions are at any given time. Great display of info!

Very informative website created as an app. Very handy tool for any saltwater fisherman.

The data pack ads do not close when pressing the Close or Do Not Show again buttons on the bottom of the screen. When will that be fixed? I can’t find the old version where this is said not to be happening. What a shame.

Nautide supplements my surf forecast on Surfline with easier graphs for some reports and extra interesting ocean info useful for surfers and anyone on the beach
