No matter what I try I cannot cancel the subscription to SMH, all the support links are broken - deliberately?. Have beem trying for several days and have now been charged for another month. Absolutely disgusting.

I have been holding on phone for over two hours to cancel my subscription to the Sydney Morning Herald. I was transferred to News Limited’s site twice by your staff - but they did not do it maliciously. Looks like a gremlin in the system! I had previously cancelled my News Limited Daily Telegraph earlier this week and had no problems. My last letter from you is 16th May, 2012. The Subscriber No. 541777; transaction ID 668893. My copy of your paper is delivered on Saturday, Sunday and Monday to 16 Firestone Crescent, Glenmore Park, 2745 New South Wales. Please cancel my subscription as Citibank have changed my Visa Card to a MasterCard. It was an opportune time to cancel the papers as I only remove the plastic and throw the papers in the recycling bin each fortnight without reading them. Please cancel my Subscription as soon as possible please. Thank you, Merryn Hodgson. Phone 0490 426 902

I have just re-subscribed to SMH after a year or two. As an older person I have found it difficult to get onto the site. I have the app on my phone and I am always asked to log in, both on my phone or on my lap top. Most often I am told that my details are wrong. I am unclear as to what I am paying for and have a general level of dissatisfaction which I would like to talk to a help desk person about. Please contact me asap. A.S.

This is to report that I have not been able to cancel my subscription to the Sydney Morning Herald which had I set up on a desktop computer using Windows 10. Your website has a range of options which seems to cover most systems except Microsoft Windows 10 computers. I was also unable to register my level of difficulty using the "Extremely Difficult" button on your website. This is to notify you that I am using this issue messaging service to cancel my subscription. Could you please acknowledge the cancellation when you have implemented it. Regards, Peter Osman peter@redacted

Layout is seriously broken

I really want to have this app on my phone, but the layout of the home screen is extremely broken. The word wrapping doesn’t take up the full width of the container and creates a vertically long article summary, makes it extremely hard to read.

Doesn’t have full functionality (comments) of Web page

Seems weird that SMH have provided this app supposedly for a optimised experience on iPad/iPhone yet it doesn’t have all the functionality found on the Web version. Where are the comments after the articles and how can i make them on the app??? To use the app you have to have a subscription so you are paying for something that is less than what you would get on the free webpage? Not a great option if you want all the features you find on the web page and as a subscriber I feel a little ripped off because of that.
