- Easy and quick way to delete multiple contacts
- User-friendly interface
- Ability to restore accidentally deleted contacts
- No bugs or issues reported
- Cathartic experience of getting rid of unused contacts
Swiped through 1,300+ contacts, and I have to admit, it was fun and cathartic to know I was riding myself of years of unused contacts! BUT, whenever I tap on the trash can and select, “Delete All”, Cinder freezes and I have to close out and try again. I tried deleting them individually (all 1,300, one at a time!) but that also eventually froze Cinder . Too bad... great concept but needs some work.
Nice idea but needs much more context in order to know what to do with old contacts. The ability to optionally see the full contact information would help as would being able to search for previous emails or appointments. As it is just seeing some old name or phone number doesn’t really tell me very much about the contact.
Cinder only gives you 3 fields to review to allow you to decide whether or not to delete the contact.
#1. Cinder should let you know if you are being presented with a duplicate
#2. Cinder should allow you to see all of the fields that are completed in the contact - not just the name, phone number and email .
#3. There should be a tutorial either in Cinder or an external link to let you know what the red x button is for vs the trash can logo.
Good start by lacking what I would consider basic essential details.
Cinder has great potential. It makes cleaning up contacts as easy as pie. But I found it a shame that it does not share more info about the contact, things like company, title, even full name (there’s also an issue with telephone number formats). This caused me to bounce back and forth between Cinder and my contacts to get more info before going back and swiping.
I thought this would be full of ads or mess up my contacts, but it’s literally tinder for your contacts. It works & it’s easy.
I love Cinder but wish it had
- an undo button
- an easy way to see accepted contacts
- an easy way to see rejected contacts
- ability to edit or move in both lists
Thank you!
Well done. Quite useful but would be a bit better if contact company name and notes were shown to help recall who the contact is. Advertising insertion is agreeable since Cinder is free.
Absolutely easiest and best way to delete contacts on iphone👍
Thank you developer🙏
I wish this was made for facebook friends and twitter and instagram followers too!
Cinder is phenomenal! Having an iPhone is great and all “sometimes “, but the one thing I’ve always hated the most was not having an easier way to delete my contacts! I had so many , deleting them one by one would literally take all day! Using Cinder- not even 10 minutes! I went from like 400 to deleting like 264 with a breeze! MUST USE... ! ^_^
Cinder is perfect for keeping your contact list in check. It’s fast, intuitive, and ‘just works’!
I love Cinder!! Cleaned up over 3,000 contacts down to 400 in less than 15 minutes. Works perfect with no problems!!!
Cleaned up 300 plus contacts is about 20 minutes. That was just a quick first pass. I would expect more with a closer look. Great app. Thanks!
This was super addicting, and I quickly cut my contacts list in half. So fun and fast!
I have been trying to figure out an easier way to do this for the longest time. Super simple. Very efficient. I just deleted 400 contacts in about 10 minutes.
It’s simple to use! I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time. It’s so rare now a days to find a free app with no ads that just simply works! Thank you guys! The builders of this, kudos. No hidden in app purchases! Cinder is amazing.
This is a wonderfully easy to use app to clean up your address book. Mine has been a disaster for YEARS and this helped clear it up quickly and easily. Love how handy this was.
I’ve had contacts from a decade ago that I was simply to lazy to go one by one and delete the unwanted contacts. With Cinder I got rid of over 200 contacts I didn’t need anymore in a matter of minutes. Highly recommend it
I went from 1,500+ contacts to 377 in less than an hour. I like the layout. Only suggestion is alphabetical or chronological order for trash when you want to retrieve a contact that was accidentally deleted. Thanks, this app!
It allows you to swipe left on contacts you don’t want anymore. Then you go and permanently delete all at once, or restore ones you accidentally swiped left on. Works great. No bugs or issues
No way to review privacy policy as the site returns a 404 error. And Cinder gets access to my contacts??? Uh, no way! If you think it’s not mining your contact details, you’re crazy. Enjoy the extra spam calls to you and all your contacts.
