I’m a competitive player

I’m a competitive Call of Duty player and while CallofDutyCompanionApp is nice to use it’s not perfect, I would say they should provide more information about performance especially over a long period of time. It would be nice to know how well I’m playing now in comparison to when the game came out. For example if CallofDutyCompanionApp only provides me with K/D performance over the last 5 games which is the main driver in the skill based matchmaker I believe it’s important to know how my skill is ‘improving’. So they should over long-term performance charts and if it were an issue of cost they could average different units of time out because in the end day to day performance isn’t a sign of skill and I think all comp players agree looking at day to day performance were mostly inconsistent. So me looking at my last five games isn’t really important at all. Also there should be a way to measure aim improvement but obviously this will be skewed given Activision’s attempts to balance the player base. I would recommend long term accuracy charts hopefully maybe even reaction time stats of some sort. I’m sorry Activision but it’s apparent to me you’re not doing anything to help your competitive players especially when it comes to improvement. I hope to see some changes in this! I will be leaving reviews on my blog and other social media to let my followers know of my review! Also do fix the bugs😄

Great Concepts, Poor Follow Through

I was really excited about CallofDutyCompanionApp when I read all the new features the developers were adding in. However, the follow through is lacking to say the least.
Ops don’t track right. Only the Modern Warfare store is accessible and even that won’t load right 50% of the time. The “News” section is updated less than the games themselves, which is a HUGE disappointment considering all the things constantly going on with COD. It would be great to just check for new info in CallofDutyCompanionApp rather than having to check all the review sites to find out what’s going on.
Also, I enjoy watching league play on a regular basis when the season is going, but the last thing I give a crap about is what league gamers want for Christmas or what they did to celebrate their win. Hard to understand why they waste time having someone write that useless and uninteresting garbage when there are updates and in game trends that people actually WANT to read about.
Seems like they could make CallofDutyCompanionApp a lot more useful if they would quit using it to push unwanted product.

Semi-perfect

CallofDutyCompanionApp works wonders honestly. Simple UI, easy to navigate, etc. I appreciate that it tracks pretty much every aspect of my gaming session. You can see where you die the most on the map and where your kills show up most along with where your team dies and gets their kills. Perfect for seeing what you do wrong and what you’re right in each situation. Perfect for anyone who likes being analytical and competitive.

The reason CallofDutyCompanionApp gets 4 stars although it’s such a quality app is because you can’t see all of your matches played. You can only view the most recent ones or the best preforming matches. Would love if I could see all of my matches from start of my time playing at 0Hrs to now and track my progression along the way.

Another reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because I cannot buy COD points through CallofDutyCompanionApp but I can buy bundles and the battle pass. Just seems illogical that can spend my existing COD points through CallofDutyCompanionApp but cannot buy more through it as well.

Accurate and organized but minimal

The stats are accurately updated and I’m able to check out previous games both multiplayer/warzone which are both separated making for easy distinction, K/D SPM highest kill streak, etc. I do wish you could view others information as well to see how your competing against your friends, and the biggest thing I wish was integrated is the load out manager for the new MW it seems black ops 4 is the only one available, other than that CallofDutyCompanionApp is nice, you get occasional in games tokens and gifts and you can view most info you are looking for, if it was better and keeping track or friends stats and there was a MW load out manager this would be an easy 5 stars. Regardless I appreciate the team for continued updates on CallofDutyCompanionApp because it’s very easy for companies to just abandon apps like this and let them get outdated with minimal maintenance, also please let me turn off cross play lol I can’t deal with the sweaty PC players anymore haha, I mean I can but, you know what I mean lol

Great but....

Great app overall, only complaint or suggestion would be to let us know what friends are playing online. Yea you can use the PSN app to tell you which PS friends are on, but what about your friends on other consoles? Should be able to let us know who and who is online. Cause sometimes you make friends and they’re on pc or Xbox. No way to tell if they’re on. Not gonna give a stranger your phone number to notify each other to get on, or to see if they’re online. Imagine having to boot up your system load everything up and come to find out no one is online. Kinda of a bummer, cause I like playing with friends. Makes it more fun. So if you can add that function that’d be amazing!!!

This app needs to be fixed

Although I find CallofDutyCompanionApp to be very intuitive, I have found 2 bugs that have been very aggravating to me as of late:

1. I cannot view my stats of my own profile.
This is, in my opinion, a very big problem. I know many people that use CallofDutyCompanionApp to try and track their stats, myself included. CallofDutyCompanionApp has a great function that allows people to check their recent stats and see their progress which I like. But how am I supposed to view my own progress if CallofDutyCompanionApp won’t let me? I have tried to login to the Activision website to allows my stats to be viewed by everyone, but it is a very temporary solution. This only works for around a few hours before I have to log back in to the website, and change my viewing again. I have to do this over and over just to view my stats? This is such an inconvenience that I don’t even want to use CallofDutyCompanionApp anymore until this problem is fixed.

2. I can’t even change my notifications and privacy settings.

It’s bad enough that I have to change my privacy settings just to view my stats, but why do I have to do that on the Activision website? Sure, CallofDutyCompanionApp will allow me to change my privacy settings every now and then, but for the most part, nothing pops up when I click it. And when I do have access to it, it still does not fix the first problem I addressed. Please fix CallofDutyCompanionApp so I can actually use it properly.

Severely lacking features

Maybe this is only applicable to the new Modern Warfare game, as that’s the only COD I play. However, CallofDutyCompanionApp tells me about 10% of what I can view in the game itself, and what it does tell me is inaccurate. It still has me at level 55 in CallofDutyCompanionApp while I’m up to 74 in game. On that note, it also completely omits the barracks section with challenge progress and the Rank progression objectives (that you reach after I believe level 55 or so). The loadout editor is also completely broken and doesn’t load. It would be awesome to change loadouts and have full Gunsmith capability in CallofDutyCompanionApp but at the very least I should be able to see my available weapons and stats, killstreaks, perks, etc. Alas, there is nothing but a blank loading screen. I also cannot message any other users via CallofDutyCompanionApp , and I have no clue what the squad function is other then it automatically placed me in some random squad, but then tells me that squad is inactive? All I get is (inaccurate) summaries of about 10 of my recent games, and that doesn’t include all of the recent ones, just 10 random ones. Complete waste.

By

Where’s the loadout editor for modern warfare?

When gunsmith and class creation for modern warfare is added I’ll change this to 5 stars, but without that I don’t really see the point of CallofDutyCompanionApp. The heat maps are kinda cool I guess but y’all should probably work on coming up with other features as well. Like add the barracks for example, let people switch operators, calling cards, emblems, etc from CallofDutyCompanionApp . Or add a section to find gameplay clips, tips and tricks, weapon builds, etc. Or a section to get detailed descriptions on the in game weapons, vehicles, operators, etc. Those are just some suggestions, but bottom line CallofDutyCompanionApp is severely lacking in features. Consider taking a look at companion apps for other games for inspiration, there’s really a lot more you could be doing. Oh and the store seems to be bugged, none of the content loads despite everything else loading without a problem. Don’t take this the wrong way, I love y’all and appreciate all the hard work you do, I just love the game and want to see the companion app be the best it can be.

Amazing companion app but has a few problems

TLDR: Great app, fix clan/squad customization, fix heat maps and load out editor, simplify categories better.

I’m not dissing this companion app but there are a few issues I have been recently having, 1) There is now way to edit or fix my clan/squad page so I can update the personal message or even promote other players. 2) The heat maps and load out editor constantly are giving me “Ethernet token error connect to network again” or just “error no data available” and so forth. 3) And the navigation through CallofDutyCompanionApp isn’t all that flawless, every different category should have its own tab and grouped accordingly, I have “news” on three of 4 tabs. They should just clump all of that in one place. I want to see stats first not news first. Other than that CallofDutyCompanionApp is the closest thing to the perfect companion app for BO4 or MW. Once I see an effort in change for CallofDutyCompanionApp I will change me star rating.

Good until now

CallofDutyCompanionApp has been pretty good, a little complicated in adding friends with Activision accounts to my friends list for cross play, but once I figured it out it was fine. A little inaccurate, but only one rank off from in game rank. However, despite it being good in the past, now I have found that my squad is deleted and I can’t make another one. I logged in and I was told I needed a squad to participate in the weekly challenges. I was in a squad just yesterday competing for the weekly challenge and now that it’s a new week my squads gone. I tried searching for it and it says it doesn’t exist and when I try to create it again with the same name I get an error message and am told to try again. Everything else in CallofDutyCompanionApp seems to be working, but without having the ability to have my squad back or create a new one defeats the purpose of having CallofDutyCompanionApp as all the information is on my game.

Good but lacking some much needed features

Overall CallofDutyCompanionApp is great but it falls short in two key areas. The first is the weekly Squad Tournaments. These are an awesome idea to keep people engaged but there are some issues. The first is that if you remove people from your squad (inactivity) it doesn’t fill in the roster. Secondly the Squad leader can’t edit the emblem or name and lastly they need to have a preview of what the reward is. We pushed hard twice only to not like the item after winning. It’s become harder to motivate my team to push for the top spot when it’s a blind reward. Speaking of rewards, more than calling cards should be added to the pool. The second major issue is that you can’t access or edit load-outs. I’ve seen this mentioned a lot before so I won’t harp on it. Overall a great app it just needs more work to have any staying power.

Activision WHY

I don’t get it. Your company makes billions and you can’t seem to fix the bugs. Your app doesn’t work right. Your website is broken along with your games. If you were to fix these problem you would get solid reviews and a lot more players along with money. Doesn’t your company see that. You better hope another company don’t spring up outta nowhere. If it does you better get it together. You have a really good platform to work from but you squander it away. You support system for your company is trash. Emails don’t help technical issues, someone on the phone does. Your call of duty app needs a serious update. And your games well...... let’s just say I’d start looking at what the players are saying. Remember we are the ones that make you money. Least you can do is come out with a good product worth our attention

Not a happy gamer

I do enjoy CallofDutyCompanionApp for the basic stat viewing and seeing if friends are online cross platform. However my account was stolen and the person changed my email and password so I can't play but I'm still logged into CallofDutyCompanionApp and can see the person's gamer tag and match history. I reported it to activision online but haven't heard anything in days. It's sad because I purchased the game on Ps4 and then again on PC along with battle passes etc. I feel like the response time for this should be much much quicker and I even see reports of people not getting any response. I know this is not app related but at this point I'm hoping someone will see it and maybe reach out. Only other app specific feedback I can mention is maybe learn from games like Destiny that allow you to modify classes from within CallofDutyCompanionApp .

Sad to see that the latest update dropped stat tracking for WW2 and BO4

PLEASE BRING BACK BLACK OPS 4 AND WW2 STAT TRACKING!!!So with the latest companion app update, stats from ww2 and bo4 are no longer tracked. I was dissapointed to see this as it gave me sort of a sense of accomplishment and made me feel like a COD vet being able to go back and see my stats from previous titles. I hope that with the new integrated progression system between Modern warfare and cold war that Modern Warfare wont eventually get dropped. It would also be nice to be able to see the officer progression from modern warfare through CallofDutyCompanionApp aswell. By the way, the companion app support page on the Activision website never mentioned anything about dropping stat tracking for older titles as new ones come out! I feel that long time fans of the franchise are atleast owed an explanation.

Straight forward stats and polished UI...

Straight forward stats and a polished UI make this a great app. For an on-the-go check of your Soldiers stats on the battlefield look no further as CallofDutyCompanionApp keeps track of players K/D, accuracy, W/L, and much more. Logging on weekly will net you some exclusives and new accounts are rewarded with an exclusive banner upon account registration. I’ll post a link below where you can check it out.

I have encountered some issues with CallofDutyCompanionApp not tracking stats such as accuracy, W/L, etc. on some of the individual game modes in the drop menu. I would add tabs that also tracks progression of soldiers prestige, weapon, awards/achievements and unlocks. But that’s my two cents. Overall a good app that does what you want it to do (flex on the duds) and has the foundation to be a great utility. We are Alpha Golf. Peace

Glitchy but still cool

For the most part I like CallofDutyCompanionApp. There are just a few things that keep happening that tend to get annoying. Like not tallying scores correctly for the weekly tournaments. My squad lost several of these because CallofDutyCompanionApp just wouldn’t tally up our points anymore. As if we reached a score cap. Meanwhile our adversaries scores were still rising.
Another thing is sometimes it will completely freeze up. I have had to uninstall and reinstall CallofDutyCompanionApp on several occasions in order to get it back on track.
One thing I would like to do is be able to modify my load outs like before in the previous edition of COD.
I just wanted to point out some of the issues my friends and I have had. I’m sure you guy and gals will figures it out though. Anyway, stay Kewl!

Clan options

We need a way of changing our clan name and clan description from within CallofDutyCompanionApp . Bungie has this for Destiny 2. We need this for Call of Duty. Also, I feel like we should have a form of a Clan Banner. Maybe it could be called a Clan Medal? We could change the design of it and the color. Design options could include two crossed guns, wings, skull and bones, and more. Outside design options could be different kinds of shapes. It could be similar to emblem creation but, the options could be provided by the developers. I feel like we should also have a way of changing load outs from within CallofDutyCompanionApp as well. Overall it’s a very clean app and I love the daily rewards as well as the weekly tournaments.

App refuses to find my psN

CallofDutyCompanionApp is total garbage. It won’t even allow me to connect my psn account (for which I have used the correct email and password) and it gives me this message “Sorry, we weren’t able to find any gameplay data for your account. Check your profile to verify the correct first-party account is linked. Please note that we currently do not have stats for Call of Duty Mobile.” Which is totally a lie because my account very much exists with stats. One star but wish I could give it less. I keep getting put in lobbies that are horribly mismatched. I just want to turn of sbmm because it ruins my ability to enjoy the game as I’m a casual player. I’m giving up on call of duty because it’s mediocre yearly subscription that only changes in negative ways. This is coming from a 11+ year fan. Screw activision and infinity ward for wasting my money once again

Been Playing Since CoD 2 On 360

I absolutely LOVE WarZone. The Multiplayer gauntlet had gotten very stale to me, but the Battle Royale Modes are so amazing, so incredible. A lot of players seem to nitpick the game. To that I say; Look what the game does, to have so many players online at one time all over the world, it’s going to have some slight hiccups here and there. I love it and can’t get enough. It’s my escapism from all the negativity in the world. When I boot up and play with my friends all my problems disappear while I’m playing. Every BR game is a different story. It’s why streamers like Dr. Disrespect are surging. Wish I was better at the game, but that will come in time. Now, it’s time to log on baby!!!!!!

Great App!

They’re trying to fit a ton of information and functionality in CallofDutyCompanionApp which is a complicated problem to solve from a user experience perspective. The last update lessened the amount of scrolling, swiping, and clicking you had to do to find stuff which is great. CallofDutyCompanionApp keeps track of all kinds of statistics and enables players to participate in squad competitions which is fun.

It can be glitchy in 2 areas I’ve seen:
1. When the week ends for a squad comp and you go to that section Monday morning it sometimes tells you there’s an error or that you need to join a squad.
2. It has been giving me the 2 pop ups that my squad placed and I need to claim my rewards repeatedly throughout the week

|iPhone 10 1st edition| !EXCELLENT!

App runs soothingly well speaking on behalf of having CallofDutyCompanionApp for close to an hour, (which I’ve been browsing in that time) I downloaded CallofDutyCompanionApp for MW not realizing that you could also access BO4.. I haven’t played BO4 in almost a year although I did get diamond on my SMGs.. it’s just refreshing to be able to go back and see my stats or especially my “create a class” weapon choices and and perks I had equipped at the time. I’m impressed with CallofDutyCompanionApp from any aspect I’ve seen so far. If either of these two games are your game of choice you wouldn’t want to pass up this incredible tool the Devs have provided us with. (:

Good but...

CallofDutyCompanionApp is good, however after having used it for the past week me and my friends in my clan have noticed some things. For some reason, it seems to take HOURS for the stats to update while competing in a weekly tournament. We feel like we could get screwed over near the end of the event if we’re still trying to grind out games during the last few hours. Also CallofDutyCompanionApp is difficult to navigate/know what I’m looking at. I feel this could be solved if the color scheme of the entire app wasn’t black and grey. Everything being so monochromatic makes everything kind of blend together.

The main issue for us is the weekly tournament stats not updating. Oh and also whenever we log out, even if you select the “remember sign-in ID” option it never remembers it.

Overall it is still a good app, but could use some serious improvements.

**EDIT: This weeks objective was to get kills, after adding up my clan’s scores in CallofDutyCompanionApp it totals to 11,919 kills. But on the weekly tournament page it says we only have 7577.... What the hell?! How is it missing roughly 4.4k of kills?! We would have won if it had just counted our kills correctly. What is the point in having this weekly tournament crap if it doesn’t even work!

Can’t login with COD account; Can’t connect to Server with XBL account

Can’t login with COD account. Checked login info and it’s correct. Tried to make a new account using my email address and it tells me it’s already in use.

Can’t connect to Server with XBL account, effectively rendering CallofDutyCompanionApp useless. Worked ok until the game launched, now it’s a dud. Similar issues on the COD website where my friends list doesn’t show up and won’t allow me to search for friends or add people for cross play.

Zero stars, if I could, for a useless waste of space on my phone. The only reason I purchased the game was to give me the opportunity to play with a larger friend segment. Otherwise I would have passed on COD as I did long ago! I would like my money back for the XB1 game that I purchased, please! Or get the bugs squashed that should have never been at roll out of such a highly rated and anticipated game!

Clans

Only thing wrong is I can’t manage my clan/squad I have 17 random members and I’m the only one grinding for the exclusive reward for 1st place domination kills for the week. And they all are going to get the same rewards just for being in my clan? Please fix this so I can actually control who’s in my clan I want people I know not randoms and it’s almost full 18/20 people.

Edit:Thanks for adding a way to remove randoms from squads, the only thing left is being able to edit the squad as a “general” or “leader” like changing the about and clan picture!

Need improvements

CallofDutyCompanionApp is great to an extent. I would like to see more done with it though. I would like to be able to have a squad chat or messaging option to communicate with the squad within CallofDutyCompanionApp . I wish that I could simple search a friends account and add them to our squad or send a request for approval that could be accepted or denied if need be. I’d also like to see the option within the squad to appoint players within the squad the ability to add/deny people from joining the group. This would make it much easier to communicate with squad members on how we could progress within the game to get accomplishments through CallofDutyCompanionApp . It truly is a great idea for an app just needs more and needs improving to be better!

By

Good but could use more options

For the squads I’d would like to see a squad chat where we can message other players in our squad. Allow us to promote other in squad so they can approve other people who’d like to join as well as an invite only, closed or open option for squads. Another nice addition would be if you could add an edit option for the squad description and add a MOTD box that the owners and promoted people can edit so the squad knows what’s going on. Allow us to invite people to our squad though a search option and maybe even a recommended area where it recommended players to us who aren’t in a squad. Wish to see more options implemented into CallofDutyCompanionApp .

“Connecting to online service...”

This rating isn’t for CallofDutyCompanionApp itself, simply because CallofDutyCompanionApp won’t even work to begin with.. Whenever I try to log in using my Microsoft account, it just gets stuck on “Connecting to online services” When I try to create an account, it tells me that I did not fill in my info, which I have correctly and accurately filled in the boxes numerous times. I have tried on multiple devices, still doesn’t work. There’s nothing I can do to log in, so CallofDutyCompanionApp is basically useless. According to some forums, this has been an issue for some folks for at least a month now, with no resolve. I waited a couple weeks in hopes for an update to CallofDutyCompanionApp that fixes the issue, but no luck. Hopefully this negative review catches someone’s attention & progress is made.

Great app... if you only play BO4

CallofDutyCompanionApp is amazing for the people that only play Black Ops 4. You can check your stats, all this kinda cool stuff that you can do in game, but not have to be on the game. I played Black Ops 4 a lot and it is a great app to have if you play the game. The downside is that it is only Black Ops 4, that’s it. No BO3, BO2, MWR, Infinite Warfare, WW2. I have been playing Modern Warfare remastered a lot lately and I wanted to check my stats and stuff but when I got CallofDutyCompanionApp, it was only BO4. This would be an all around amazing app if it had all those games and more. I think that it should have all next gen COD games and backward compatible COD games. I hope that one day CallofDutyCompanionApp can be that and I hope to get someone’s attention that can add this in the near future.

Way too buggy & needs a msging system.

Slow and lag filled to the max. It also doesn't load a lot of things, and often the player stats are inaccurate. If it worked properly and wasn't so slow, it would actually be a really good app that helps you keep up with your game play. And since it has a squad section, it would be awesome to have some type of messaging system built in. Obviously you wouldn't need a messaging system if all your team is on the same platform, but since it's crossplay that isn't possible which makes it frustrating. We can have our Activision accts listed and our names in the squad, but have no real way of communicating to each other. - MW on XB1X, iOS 13.2.3 iPhone 11 Pro.

I have had this app for about a year now and I loved it at first. The past month I’ve noticed a couple features that I cannot access anymore such as being able to see who is online without having to turn on my system. Also, I cannot see my friends list at all. The only thing I can see is who did what…. 2 hours ago. What’s going on?

Oliver bryant   3 years ago

My match history data is completely out of sync with the amount of games I’ve actually played. It’s only showing two deathmatch games but I’ve played nearly forty games within the last few days. It doesn’t make any sense.
