Is there going to be an update for the 12 Max Pro because my 5100 can’t connect to my iPhone till there is an update for them?
by Aarison
You would think you can just connect to Bluetooth and go but they make you connect to an app then and BackBeat does not work at all which make these 70$ headphones absolutely useless
by Bought A Pair
Wasted good money on them. Don’t even bother and save yourself the $130+. Like everyone else says they both won’t connect to your phones Bluetooth. Garbage

Used the earbuds perfectly well for a month. Then I decided to get BackBeat . BackBeat took over earbuds and kept turning them off. About every hour the left earbud would turn off. The right one would stay on. Reset and about an hour later ... same thing.
Was on my was to return the headset because it was still under warranty. Then decided to completely remove BackBeat from
my iPhone. Now the earbuds work great.

Seems like it would have some nice features, if only I could get past the first step. I can connect to the headphones using bluetooth, but BackBeat won’t recognize them no matter what I try.

Almost all the features that would be great, like setting up Taps give a failed error message asking if both ear buds are powered on, same for changing the name and multiple other options. Sound is great it’s a shame I can’t utilized the promised features.

New version took off firmware update function everywhere. It's rediciulous that some of the users cannot update the firmware and some of them can. And they actually purchased exact same product.

Bought the iPhone12 and it won’t covert over. BackBeat doesn’t work. It’s like their company is out of business. No one to contact.

BackBeat used to work for my BackBeats Fit, but now it says headset not supported. It gives a prompt to the supported app, but the link doesn’t work and only shows a white screen.

Go to Headset Language > no options show > tried factory reset multiple times, still no options to choose from. Headset language stuck on Spanish

App doesn’t connect to my earpiece unless you do the whole process of connecting

Need more option

Other than that, it is fine. I don’t like corporations telling me what to do.

BackBeat is fine, but I wish it had more EQ settings so I can turn the bass up or level out the EQ myself. 🤷♀️

Plantronics Hub app supports connection switch but this app does not. I want to switch between my MacBook and iPhone. I would be happy if you integrate this property.

There is no companion app in the appstore for plantronics go3 headphones. Please add support in BackBeat and don’t just redirect to unresolved page.

Initially I thought the BackBeats companion app for my Plantronics 3100 awkward and limited, but when I dug in and spent a little time, I see that there are many useful features, such as “find my headset” and the user manual.
Would like to have the option of both battery percentage and listening time on the first page of BackBeat . Why does it have to be just one or the other? Also would like the breakdown between the left bud in the right bud, because there are sometimes different values.
So far I’m totally thrilled with the 3100 (and now the 3150) and BackBeat.

I just bought a new iPhone 12. And so I need to pair my back beat pro 5100 earbuds. I finally figured it out! First turn them off. then press and hold the right - master - earbud until it blinks read and white. When your phone finds it click connect. Now put on some music and click the left one to pair it. DO NOT use BackBeat to do this except to review the directions to do manually.
On the plus side, the sound quality is excellent. I always liked Plantronics. They are like the Hewlett Packarde of headsets.

BackBeat is great for my 3150s. I don’t see why it has such a bad rating. I’ve had maybe one problem with trying to connect them in the past month, but that was because I wasn’t turning them on correctly. Surprised at how well BackBeat performs. For 150$, I didn’t really expect such an amazing experience with some earbuds. Definitely recommend getting BackBeat if you wanna change features on the headphones!

Spent several hours trying to update earphones firmware. Got as far as 57% once but usually fails around 20%.
Renaming earphones took several tries as well.
2 stars for idea. Navigation is ok.
Will update review when app is fixed

BackBeat is fine, I was surprised to find that there wasn’t any kind of sound adjustment or equalizer.
