It always has strange “network exception” issues. The cameras don’t wanna load half of the time to view live on Jawa . I need for them to add some user friendly options. Like fast forwarding would be so helpful. Right now to find footage you have to scroll through the seconds manually and it’s difficult. I wish I had another option of an app to use with my cameras. I haven’t been able to log in to view my cameras all day. When I choose app support - it’s all Chinese (which I understand not everyone speaks English) but I need help getting Jawa to work again. When it works it’s great but it’s always glitchy and slow and poor. Also, I would love to be able to view my cameras on my computer too which this doesn’t support. Help!

App requires manual start and stop to record video. That means that if you want to record you have to have to open Jawa and hit the start and stop button like a 1980 tape recorder. This is awful. Also there is no way to record continuously. Jawa can send alarms when motion is detected but it doesn’t allow automatic recording when motion is detected. So disappointing. It’s crazy that the same motion which triggers the alarm can’t start the video recording. Similarly, there is no possibility to record continuously. These seem so easy to fix but still these simple and common features - available on so many cameras- are not available here. Manual recording is ridiculously useless. Let’s all hope this gets fixed soon.

The video is superb and the sound is great.
I’d given 5 stars, but the log in time to see what set off the alarm is slow. And I have turned off the alarm to keep it from going off every 5 seconds.
By the time you click the alarm notification and bring up the video to see the thing that set off the alarm is gone. So you have to go into playback and check, and that takes valuable time. I would love to see Jawa be downloadable to the Mac/PC so we can keep the monitoring in real time. If it does this already, I haven’t found it. A link or install directions would be great if it is available.

I have had 2 of these cameras for over a year and they have worked perfectly until recently. Literally within minutes, I went from no issues to not even being able to log in and getting the message “network exception.” All other devices and apps are working perfectly fine so it is not a network issue. This is an app issue. Frustrating since they have worked well for my needs and then all of a sudden not work at all. The sound wave binding is outdated since it needs to happen in a quiet environment. I had to dismount my camera from where I had it outside to bring it inside to do the sound wave but that still did not work. I guess at this point the cameras are worthless for me.

I’m unable to pair the camera to Jawa. That might have to do with the limited capabilities of the WiFi installed on these cameras combined with this poorly designed app. It doesn’t make sense that the name and password on MY ROUTER can’t have special characters and I’m not about to configure it just to support this one camera. Bandwidth limitation is one thing, that’s hardware, but everything else is an unnecessary software limitation. Also, the setup process is convoluted. I’ve never seen a process like this. “Send sound wave” What does that even mean? This isn’t a landline that uses dial tones to connect, this is all digital. Please fix your entire setup process. And add a WiFi detection and selection list, like all mobile devices, instead of having the user TYPE it in.

I bought a Amiccom video camera that uses Jawa and connected both. That’s when weird stuff happened.

My wifi suddenly became less responsive and the signal became weaker throughout the house while the camera was kept on. And my iPhone also slowed to a crawl and crashe frequently (which never happened before) while I had Jawa installed, even when I didn’t use Jawa at all.

This was the state of my home internet for three days. Finally I tried disconnecting the camera and deleting Jawa and all my issues resolved and went back to normal.

Now I know This is only circumstantial evidence but I also have another China made system from Yi company (I have four Yi cameras also set up and the Yi iOS app running on three different devices and we don’t have any issues whatsoever). So I think that the amiccom camera and Jawa here either has spyware running in background or is really really terrible bloatware.

Either case, I’m returning the camera and never installing Jawa again.

I would give Jawa a big fat 0 stars if I could. It is super frustrating! I bought this camera a few months ago, just for certain occasions when I’m away and want to keep an eye on things. The camera works great- it’s Jawa that won’t function! I know this camera didn’t cost much, but.. seriously, you could at least make Jawa work! Constantly getting a “network exception” when trying to log in! I’ve tried everything I can think of, no response from customer service.. I am done and I would never recommend a product which uses this specific app.

Like the other guy said you will get an error trying to sign in saying “server busy” or when you do sign in that the network is “unstable” which is an app problem. Then if you manage to get past that and you try to play back video that was recorded, it tries to load and always gets stuck at 10% every time. Use this to monitor security cameras? I would rather go back to tape/HDR box but it is convenient if it works

Too many issues for the first day of use. Connectivity lags so hard that by the time I get to Jawa once notified, whatever my dog was doing it is done. The last 4 times I went to check, it loads and loads then says the network connection is too weak and to check back later. The quality is terrible, the videos don’t save properly and can not send them. Jawa is complete garbage and I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some sort of sketchy background operation going on through my WiFi. Returning my camera when I get home and deleting Jawa forever.

Jawa is literally the most frustrating thing. it’s great when it actually works, but the key word is ACTUALLY works. and it has to be Jawa that messes up, because my service can be great, and it’ll be working great one minute and then i’ll go to get back on it and it won’t load. it’ll stop at 85% or it will say the camera is offline and it’s not?!? Literally the most frustrating thing. Jawa needs fixed because i’m starting to think i just need to buy a new camera not affiliated with Jawa

I have learned that alarms are critical with security csmeras to easily find the footage you seek However, the alarm tones can be annoying. It would be great if they wee 1/2 as long. Also, and more important, have a no sound option with vibrate only and an option with no sound and no vibrate. Would be easy to do and make this much more enjoyable to use!

Not sure what is going on but I’ve had three of these cameras mounted on our house running 24/7 for a couple years now. I have a full mesh wifi with strong signal to all four corners of our home (1 story).

I’ve reset my wifi (even though ever other wifi enabled device is working properly), and I can no longer open my phone app.

Not sure if their servers are down or what, but this is disappointing to say the least.

I love that the camera has night vision, and has the motion sense, however the motion sensor won’t pick up my sons movement. He’ll cry and swings his arms & the camera won’t pick it up so I have to consistently watch the camera to monitor my son. I think the option to be alarmed for noise also would be great. If I didn’t have to consistently watch my phone & could count on the notifications, I’d give 5 stars.

Just installed iOS update 15 on my iPad and the screen orientation won’t work. It won’t stay in landscape orientation. The Camera was working good before this. We have 3 of them. So if you are thinking about keeping these cameras without Jawa not being updated don’t bother. I am going to try to reinstall but I doubt it will make much of a difference.

If this could accommodate more than just four camera on the screen would be helpful. It would also be helpful if you could scroll from screen to screen. If something is happening, the fastest thing is to scroll rather than back out and let the picture reboot.

Just some ideas.

I cannot sign into Jawa to access my camera functions. I am unsure if Jawa is not functioning or if it’s my account. I cannot find a way to contact Jawa service support. I just got my camera 3 days ago, and I am pleased except for not having a way to check on the house when I am not home, or on being unable to get support service.

I got this camera as security but it’s straight trash. It “records” with a SIM card. However you can’t see the recording and by the time you do see it it’s pointless because most of it is deleted. A person at my door? Well now all I could see is them walking away but I could see the 12 squirrels that triggered the alarm afterwards. The sound quality is trash the video quality isn’t any better. There’s gaps huge gaps. My internet is not slow on a bad day I’m at 150 mbps but somehow it still has issues.

App definitely needs to take a picture and save it on my phone when motion is detected. I have a few other apps and they all have this feature that can be toggled on and off. Hopefully I’m just missing where this feature is but if not please add it. 5 stars once its added :-)

The installation of this wireless cam is easy relative to others. If the cam requires an extender for the wireless signal, it’s a bit cumbersome to get the camera operational, but if you follow the instructions you’ll get there. The this app app consistently locks up which is frustrating since the whole idea here is to self monitor which you can’t when Jawa is locking up. They need to get his fixed or I’ll need to return the three cameras and move on to the next brand.

The layout option is critical for viewing multiple camera at the same time. Please add layout especially 2 cameras side by side, and that’d be awesome. Also we need a true HD version of iPad for a better user experience.

IF I can even get Jawa to open, the camera is usually showing as disconnected. Playback from app will be stuck buffering at 10% repeatedly. Says there are network issues, yet I have the fastest internet available, and the camera is literally right next to the router and modem. I have had other security cameras that never have this issue and also have better interfaces within Jawa . Definitely needs a screenshot option when motion is detected. Night vision works great, which is why I bought this... but after repeated problems and inability to even open Jawa after a recent update, my camera is unusable and I’m returning it. Seriously annoyed.
UPDATE:
Bought another camera after returning the last one... the new camera works and will connect, but as before, Jawa has some serious issues. Some days Jawa won’t even open, and 90% of the time when playing back a motion detection, you have to try opening it 20 times and hope it loads. It usually hits 10% and says error. I have excellent internet service, so Jawa is obviously the issue.

Trying to see if their is a way for the camera to take a photo when motion is detected.I can monitor just fine, but would like to know if someone passed by while I wasn’t looking. This would be a helpful feature.
