I was an audible subscriber and thought hey this is $10 less a month what a great deal. Well, the old saying you get what you pay for is true. OVER 20 emails and 3 phone calls later, I still can’t download a simple book. (I downloaded a couple no problem) They gave me step after step to do (like it was my problem to fix) they reset my account on their end and still couldn’t download a book. Their response to me was just try the 6 steps again. When I finally got sick of it I asked for a refund. They didn’t want to give me a refund FOR THE BOOKS I COULD NOT DOWNLOAD. I actually had to fight for a refund for a product and service THEY DID NOT PROVIDE. My advice just don’t sign up for Walmart e books because WalmarteBooks that you have to use can’t fix their own problems, they are impossible to get in touch with, (called several times and heard ppl in the background then was hung up on), you will spend hours on email with no solution, (actually you will just get automated replies telling YOU to do things over and over again) and finally you will have to demand a refund and go through several people to get it. It took me OVER a week to do everything and get it canceled........save yourself the time and headache....... just say no.

This has been a very confusing experience so far. I downloaded the Walmart audiobook/kobo app to try the service and all I saw after logging in was the Walmart grocery app interface. (I don’t even have the grocery app installed, but I did once upon a time so I know it when I see it.) After overcoming the bizarreness of the situation, I realized WalmarteBooks (ridiculously) is using Safari as its core means of content delivery. So the problem seemed to be a caching issue. I closed WalmarteBooks and opened my iPhone settings, navigated to safari, cleared my safari cache and cookies, then returned to open up the “book app” again. This time I received the ebook interface. A bit disturbing. Seems an awfully cheap way of going about creating an app. But, hey, I fixed it. Wooyay, sort of? Except I can’t find how to sign up for the actual audiobook service. This is really kind of crazy. I really wanted to like this but it’s a mess right now. Hopefully they get it fixed ASAP. In the meantime, can someone tell me how to sign up for the audiobook service? (Message also sent to customer service.)

I truly love my Kobo Libra H2O ereader and spend way too much on so many wonderful books in their vast selections, to say nothing of the extremely valuable public library feature which works great and provides really swift access to loads of great material for free with choices constantly increasing.
But trying to locate specific info on some relevant subject in the help section with its insane nonsensical search results is like falling down a deep dark and demented dream well: pages of totally irrelevant unrelated and ludicrously listed garbage with only a sense of random dumping fills an overwhelming flood of misdirected meaningless mind swipes. But really, it’s a menace. Hard to believe some folks actually got paid to produce this wreckage.

Do not buy this crap. This platform is broken. Every book that I have downloaded quits playing at some point and gives a “something went wrong” error message. Contacting customer support leads to them sending you the same trouble shooting steps available online. I was so dissatisfied that I cancelled with unused credits in my account. Frustration would be a good name for WalmarteBooks. I am using an iPhone XR to run WalmarteBooks (well, to try an run it). I am biting the bullet and going back to a reliable (but expensive) platform. At least I can listen to the whole book that way. Bottom line, WalmarteBooks is crap and customer support is designed to frustrate you till you give up. Well played Walmart.......

WalmarteBooks is easy to navigate and is really straight forward!!!! I was a member of Audible for a long time. But, Walmart Audiobooks/E-Books is a much , much, much better value!!!!! Absolutely so impressed with all of the Walmart platforms!!!!!! You can still visit the stores, you can shop online, you can get your prescriptions filled at the pharmacy, you can get your dog or cats medications filled at Walmart Pet RX, and now you can enjoy e-books and audiobooks with Walmart Audiobooks/E-Books!!!!! Wow!!! LOVE, LOVE,LOVE Walmart!!!!!

I honestly really like the Walmart ebooks through Kobo. I used to use audible but switched over because of the price difference. It seems they have pretty much all the audiobooks that I want. At least I haven’t run into not being able to find one I want. I occasionally have a problem where my audiobook will suddenly stop playing and I can’t get it to play again unless I remove the download and then re-download it. It’s a bit annoying, but hopefully they will fix it. Overall I would recommend this to audiobook lovers.

WalmarteBooks itself works great. Good audio quality, easy to find what I want. The breakdown comes when I want to purchase something. It’s difficult to find the audio or ebooks of the book I want to buy in the Walmart app. Instead of having different versions of the same book (hardback/soft/ebook/audio) on one product page, they are scattered throughout WalmarteBooks .

The bigger issue is when you try to purchase something in the Walmart app, and you are met with the “Not available for purchase in WalmarteBooks” message. Then you have to get on the web or on a pc.

It’s a lot of hoops to jump through for a book.

I really enjoyed the audio version of this book! Hearing Ms. Elaine’s voice throughout the book has stuck with me through my journey thus far in life. I appreciate her transparency as a black woman in corporate America and how she strive to be great in everything she does. Her story empowers me to keep moving forward and pursue my dreams! This book is amazing! I’ve already bought two more hard copies for two wonderful ladies in my family!

Easy to navigate. Free book selection is varied and contains many stand-alone novels from a variety of well known authors as well as new authors with titles from the country to the city and the boardroom to the bedroom, cowboys to billionaires.
It is also easy to organize and categorize your own collection so books are easily accessible when you are ready to make a new selection. All in all, 👍

WalmarteBooks is hard to get going on for new users. I don’t understand how to purchase audiobooks on WalmarteBooks as I did go to Walmart and purchase the 3 month membership to start and still can’t even download anything. It tells me I must go to Walmart and buy the book and then I can download it. Have asked and tried to figure out the help feature and search feature but still no luck...will keep trying to get my books as I really hope I can access my audiobooks. I really wanted to hear these books. My eyes hurt too much to read very long these days.

The material is thought provoking and very practical. Plenty of his personal examples and many applications. Jon does a GREAT job with reading his own books. Plus-because he’s the author reading the book- there is a great deal of additional information he adds that’s not in the book.

I love the price but the ease of use leaves a lot to be desired. I have trouble keeping books downloaded. I have had several issues with being able to get new books with my available credits.
WalmarteBooks would get 5 stars if purchasing new books were easier and faster to access through WalmarteBooks instead of being redirected to Walmart and then crashing before you could make your purchase.

When I have another app like google maps open, the narration of the book continues, so I miss part of the book. This is not the case with audible books. I downloaded my purchase and yet the book is not fully downloaded. I’ve tried to download it several times and WalmarteBooks says already downloaded, but the book won’t play. While the monthly fee is great, these issues need to be worked out. They are quite annoying. I can’t even listen to my book anymore. It won’t play! I just repaired it and nothing!

I have downloaded three books. First one worked great. Second one quit twice and then eventually, after playing with my phone for a while, it came back on. Then it stopped again. Had to do a Chat with Customer Service. Finally got it going after deleting WalmarteBooks and redownloading it.
Thought, this was all a “me” issue so I downloaded the third book and I cannot get it to play at all. Really do not want to deal with their “help” again. Frustrating. Use a reputable audiobook source.

So I’m a locksmith and I’m either in my van driving or on a job almost all day. I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I just downloaded WalmarteBooks and started listing to a book and unfortunately when my google maps is telling me which way to go the book doesn’t pause, it just talks right over the book. Incredibly frustrating. Other apps are not like this and I see this as a major limiting factor on listening to any other books with WalmarteBooks.

I started using this with a gift card form my family for a new book each month but it will not load on WalmarteBooks only on the partner app Rakuten Kobo books. It was really annoying to set everything up on WalmarteBooks and need to do it again on the other one so I could actually listen to my books and there is no easy option to find help to fix the problems with my downloads. It would be a really good app if it would actually play my books.

I created an account through safari, on which I purchased a book. I then tried to connect said account to WalmarteBooks once it was done downloading. It continuously told me that my email was not valid and when I went through the whole change password process (I thought that might’ve been the issue) the sign in hyperlink wasn’t even working. So now I am just going to download my book and read it through a document reader, but hopefully this issue can be fixed in the future.!

I find it confusing, difficult and time consuming every time I come here to buy a book with my monthly credit, in fact, I still don’t know how to do it. I wish it was as simple as Audible, one-stop shop.

Audiobooks are great ebooks even better can’t beat the $10 a month deal for audiobooks. A small request for ebooks is if you can make it to where we do not have to tap to advance but scroll continuously when reading through a book? I appreciate all you do, thanks

Great crime thriller. I liked how it showed how sometimes women are looked at like the underdog¬ as smart as the male police men think they are. But as a woman police officer she not only earns their respect but catches a very dangerous serial killer while doing it.... must read - book 1 in the series. 👍🏼

WalmarteBooks is horrible. I want to purchase an audio book, but cannot find a way to do this on WalmarteBooks . Can’t find a way on the Walmart website either. You guys need to get your act together. It shouldn’t be this difficult to make a purchase.

This book is excellently written and a must read for anyone who cares about the sanctity of the department of justice. When the president of the United States plays dangerous games with the department of justice, it should make the people of this country stand up and take notice. Andrew McCabe should be commended for his dedication to truth and the security of our country.

I listen to audiobooks all the time an use audible and my library as my main source for books. When I saw this new service from Walmart I jumped at it. I haven’t even gotten the first (free) book and I’m canceling my subscription. There are two problems
1. WalmarteBooks is unbelievably clunky. Very hard to search for what’s available and very hard to “buy” a book.
2. There are very few books available
This is definitely not ready to go up against amazon/audible.

If I could give it a big fat 0, I would. My Kobo App worked great until I synced it with the Walmart eBook App. First it deleted my Kobo account and I had to have a “Chat Associate”fix that issue. Now all my books (412 unread) in the Kobo App have disappeared and they don’t show up in the Walmart eBook App either and it says it cannot update my Library. The same “Chat Associates” have no idea how to fix it except to create a new account. If I go to the Kobo website, all my books are there, but who wants to sit at a computer to read?

It is very difficult to navigate where to buy and use your credits! The Walmart eBook says to purchase my book through Walmart and will automatically be added to my Kobo books, but when I try to put it in the cart it tells me it cannot be purchased on Walmart app. I go through this process every time and can’t figure out how to buy a book or use my credit to get one. HELP!
I have a credit to use and it won’t let me do that either.

Best Book I have ever read! Everything thing that was promised was delivered and so much more!
I’m so delighted and wonderfully thankful that it was really this easy to quit choking myself with cigarettes!

Very good app, but when going under audiobooks section and then doing a search, it shows ebooks, not audiobooks. At least that has been my experience on all my searches so far.

I don’t like that I have to keep track of where I left off and which book I was reading. A totally different book opened and it took a moment to realize it wasn’t the book I was reading
