Horror House Escape Scary Game Reviews

I have been playing different ARPAPlus escape games. The first one I played I loved so I kept downloading & playing their others. This one was my 4th. It is HORRIBLE! I only got half way through the first level & deleted it & came to write this! The items in inventory don’t highlight when you click on them & you can’t click on them & then touch where you want it like most. Instead you have to drag it to where you want it, which is fine. But, it’s kind of annoying because it doesn’t always work when dragging it there & I have to drag it a few times. Items that go together make no sense. Why would combining a magnet & rope open the wooden doors or even allow you to climb over them? How does putting a key inside a piece of broken off wood banister to make a crowbar make sense? Then when you’re inside the bathroom, it has you combine a mop, plunger, & duct tape to make some weird contraption that apparently unplugs the tub. Why the plunger itself couldn’t do that I don’t know. It just makes no sense. Then I had 3 different keys I found & had multiple doors to open with keys, yet none of the 3 keys I had apparently opened the different doors. I looked up a walkthrough & one was supposed to open a door, but I couldn’t get it to open it even dragging it to it multiple times. I was done at that point. Other ARPAPlus games are great, but NOT this one! Get Asylum or Scary Horror or one of their others.

I love these type of apps/games and I would probably enjoy this one too...unfortunately, the back button to go back to previous rooms does not work. It works for the first 2 scenes but once your in the house...it just stops functioning! I even closed out of the game and went back in and it didn’t work. I started a new game and same thing happened. If this issue is resolved I would give it another chance...but, as of right now, that issue makes me no longer attempt to play the game.

Add to come up after just touching some thing once they come up all over the place whenever they want constantly not occasionally. Some of the stuff comes up in English. Some of it comes up in two languages and some comes up in only another language. Don’t these developers try their own games before they have them put on? the graphic on the first page looked great and I was like I’m gonna give it a try I can do it. No I got in the house. I had to use the hint quite a few times and just nothing made sense. Bad game poorly done the end taking this out of my iPad now

This is the first game that i deleted after playing it hardly for 10 mins. The items in the inventory never work. Even after buying the hint by watching 30 seconds video and placing the item exactly at the same point where the pointer is pointing, nothing happens at all. Ads keep on popping up every minute, which is too annoying to watch. Without buying hints it is very difficult to figure out what to do. I also realized that nothing happens on clicking the same spot where you will ultimately find the item, until you get the hint after watching an ad. Total waste of time.

Horrible game. I played less than 5 minutes into the first scene and promptly deleted the game because 2 ads popped up in that time frame and both of them were while I was searching the scene. I get that they have to put up ads but they don’t have to break into the scenes during active gameplay to do so. No other game that I play does this. Other games put their ads after each puzzle is complete, if it’s a puzzle solving game. None of the hidden object escape games that I play put up any ads at all (they are also free to play games).

Aside from NOT being very intuitive, I was very disappointed in this game. Puzzle objectives are not clear. Hints are required just to figure out what the objective actually it. There is a bug in the program. I cannot get past the partially opened door on the second floor. The Hint points to the door and the key (in my inventory) is “pulsing”. That said, I can’t go through the door. I have uninstalled HorrorHouseEscapeScaryGame and moved on.

HorrorHouseEscapeScaryGame is terrible do not waste your time! Everything is poorly programmed with the placement too close to the edge of the screen. Every time you try to use your inventory you drag your notifications screen. Inventory items get stuck on the inventory navigation and freeze. The ads are 20 seconds long or more and won’t close. The game won’t allow you to do things unless you watch the ads for a hint even if you don’t need the hint. The English translation is awful. It is frustratingly amateur. DELETE!

The maker of this "game" is running a scam for ad money. None of the items in your toolbar will work, at all. You will sit there trying to figure out where and how to use an item FOREVER until the game prompts you with an offer of a hint in exchange for watching an ad. When you're given your hint it's just going to tell you to use an item in a place you ALREADY TRIED TO USE IT NO LESS THAN 100 TIMES BEFORE. Then suddenly it will work, but only because you wasted your time watching an ad that apparently "unlocks" the item you are trying to use. SCAM!!!!

I just started this game and it keeps telling me to “look around” but when I click the button to “look around” it does not work 😩 I visited the developers website and the email they provided at the bottom has a 🐕 in the email address which is super strange. I just wanna play this game 😭

Ads should be shown when moving from room to room, not in the middle of solving a puzzle. Graphics were good, but items are too small. Should at least show a label when clicking on items so you know what you have. Clues? Not many. Felt more like a Find the Hidden Object game, then guess what to do with it. Has potential to be good.

The hints just give an arrow toward something. Trying to interact with different things and finding that touch is glitchy. Why do I have to climb in a window and then back out the window to use the key I got from the toilet to open the front door? This is an odd game. I play games often, but this one leaves me stumped. Try another game, this one does not let you work through the puzzles. They simply close up.

The game looks pretty good but the gameplay is difficult with puzzles that are unclear on how to resolve. One is some kind of chemistry experiment and the book shows combining colors of chemicals that are not there. I watched a video to get a free hint and it was an arrow pointing at the door to the room I was already in. Another “hint” is an arrow point at the alphabet chart on a wall. After solving the doll puzzle, a light appears with 3 circles but I can’t zoom in to get a better looks I have no idea what that means. Also, some of the dialogue appears to be in Russian?

I like it fine. I love being challenged but there are some things that make it frustrating instead of fun. For instance, once I’ve collected an object, it goes into the inventory and gets so tiny I can’t tell what it is. That would be no problem if, like most games, it would give me text saying what it is on a mouse over or whatever. But instead I have to squint and guess, which is extra aggravating when I need to construct an object and can’t see what i have. On top of that, there’s just a lot that isn’t intuitive. I like difficulty if there’s a logic to it, but often it feels random.

I have really enjoyed this game but from what I understand the gauges are suppose to change on their own the first time and they do not when I input the numbers myself they just go back to 0 so…. This is as far as I can go. Would love to be able to finish this game but I can’t.

Too many ads. Some of the instructions are in Russian. the control bar being at the top of the screen in combination with the drag and drop controls is really annoying because you can be trying something and the notification box drops down.
I will say I like the difficulty of the puzzles

I have a few complaints. I love the game, I really do, and the visuals are good. However, I keep getting frozen in a few rooms. The button to go back just... doesn’t work sometimes, so I can’t continue with the game. It happens randomly, and it’s starting to ruin the game for me.

The game is really amazing graphics and all games puzzle etc. But at the end trying to dial the telephone and fighting the army guys it’s annoying it’s very annoying I even try to use the eraser of a pencil just to make sure that I am hitting the right numbers and it’s still jumps from 6 to 8 or nine or watever. So I didn’t get to finish it.

Hi if your the developer can you make a part two to this game because the beginning cutscene and the ending where you get to punch the maniac was really fun and cool you could do a lot of things with these types of games please make a continued version for this

I have played so many room escapes that they have become tedious. Yes this takes thinking, even with hints, but the puzzles are refreshingly original. And when one is solved, it’s very satisfying. I would definitely recommend this to those who feel they are more proficient at these type of games.

I have been on a search for games to play and came across Lost Lands. I have played them all at this point. I go back and play to get more achievements. Thanks for the time and effort.
