Really Good game, but there is one thing

I think this game is great, but it needs a few things to finish it off. First of all, there needs to be a “reset to original state” or some thing along those lines button. The reason is 75% of the game (I finished about 4 days ago) I zoned out and tapped. Then, I end up changing the color, but the original color was better in my opinion. Also, I think achievements would be a great addition to the already great game. Some achievements could be “big bucks” where you would have to have 1 mil in your bank, or “over achiever” where have to complete all the pictures.(which I adore) These are some achievements that I think are good, but I have hundreds more. Lastly, the reason I think would be the most profitable is that you should be able to watch ads, or pay real money for gems. I could have finished the game in a week, but I took about 2 months because I am unable to play everyday, and gems are scarce. All in all, this game is great and adding one of these ideas would make it 5 stars. ;)

Great Game! But needs work

This game is great for relaxing watching little pixels color big pictures. But there are only 300 pictures, and I finished in 2 days! Also, I found there are a lot of ads! To bypass this, turn on airplane mode, it will make sure the ads will not play. I loved this game in the short time I played it! Very good for kids, if I might add. Very eye opening in the way the game uses different shades to make it look 3D. Have Fun!

Not very idle and too many ads

You can’t start something and leave like every other idle game and even if you could, most pictures take less than a minute to finish and you have to physically click on the next picture to start it. The power ups quickly become way too expensive which makes watching ads more necessary. There are ads when you finish artwork, ads to get more money, ads to get temporary power ups, ads to open new artworks that you can’t open without watching, if you turn down an ad to get more money, they still play an ad anyway, the first offer you get when you open the game is to watch an ad, they even have daily tasks and regularly one of them is watch a certain number of ads. The diamonds are also completely useless after you open all the artworks, making the daily tasks pointless. The artwork is cool and it’s nice to watch it finish but there are also a lot of improvements they could make

FAIL!

The issue I would like to mention first is the moon. The 4th to last one, or, the moon, has a word in the top left corner. For earth, it said earth, but for the moon, it said... MOO! Now either someone is like a cow and can’t stop eating to the point where a typo was made in there work, or... someone simply can’t spell a four letter word! Moon, now I get it, it does look like cheese, we call it moon cheese, but we don’t need to honor the cows for making this so called “cheese.” MOO, more like BOO!! P.S. I am still trying to see what the ratio is of the time you actually play the game compared to ads. So far I got: for every 60 seconds total using IdlePainter , 15 seconds is ads, meaning every 30 minutes, you have wasted 7.5 minutes of your life. And we all know that time is the most valuable thing ever. P.S. The P.S. has a bigger meaning than the real topic.

Not worth the hype

For one, the ads. Pressed a button? Ad. Finished some art? Ad. Blinked? You must need an ad! You can’t do anything without getting an ad. Sure, airplane mode is an option, but then you can’t open artworks that require an ad.

Second, it’s much too easy to finish. It took me less than a day to finish the normal artworks, and only a few days more to get and finish the packs. The new art is 99% of the fun, so once that’s done there’s not really anything left to do.

Third, the crashing. Mainly with the beginning artworks. With any quest you have for finishing artworks, surely you’d want to do the fastest ones since that’s easier? Wrong. Doing the first five to finish the quest will make the game crash. And, if the game crashes when you finish the quest, you will never get the gems. So you can either take the risk and inevitably ruin the quest, or do a painfully long one.

Fourth, false advertising: this is NOT an idle game. You’d think by idle they meant finishing art while you’re offline? Nope. You have to watch the entire thing. Even if you don’t close IdlePainter and are just on something different, the art pauses and you earn nothing.

In summary, if you like a ad-filled, buggy, finish-within-a-few-hours, ‘idle but actually not’ game, you’ll love this.

Love it but, there’s something wrong

I love the game and art and I even sent my pictures to my dad! There’s so many pictures and so many unique things from other games... and it’s so cool how it looks so polished and colorful... I like how you can change it from negative to positive... but here’s the thing, it’s not that compatible with idleness... it would reset the picture if it’s not complete and and closed... and you need to make a recovery save option because it pretty much reset all my data the next day I used it... but you did a really good job on the game! Good luck and I hope you can fix these things and keep it updating and running!

Wow

So absolutely love it. It’s exactly how my imagination would paint things. I do wish there were a settings tab or some kind of sound but not a big deal. MAIN thing I would love to see is an auto sell function. I enjoy watching it paint but I may take my eyes off for a second and if it finishes a painting it just sits there until I manually sell it and it doesn’t keep painting. Mind you you this is while app is open and running. If it’s closed it DOES auto sell, but wish I could auto sell while IdlePainter was open. Five stars if we/me can get that added!

Too many ads, and the app is unstable.

This may simply be an issue based on my 4-5 year old hardware, but it’s still infuriating.
I love this game, I really do, but the sheer amount of ads crammed into this game is unpalatable. Every single time I load into IdlePainter , it shows an ad. Every single time I finish a drawing, it shows an ad. It even offers boosts from watching ads.
If this is supposed to be a relaxing idle game, why do they feel the need to squeeze every drop of cash out of it possible?
Secondly, IdlePainter itself is unstable and crashes all the time. I’ve gotten past ~drawing 80, but now IdlePainter won’t even open. I click it, it sits on the opening screen for a while, and then it tosses my back to the home screen. IdlePainter , as of now, is completely unusable unless I delete it and redownload it.
If they showed a fourth of the ads they do and increase the likelihood of IdlePainter actually opening, it’d get a higher rating, but for now it’s subpar at best.
Great game, but those two things need some serious fixing.

I love it but too many ADS

I’m only giving this game 3 stars because of the ads. I’ve gotten to a point where I go SO fast because of my power-ups I go through 1 level in 15 seconds and because there is an ad after every level (or painting) I’m basically JUST watching ads. I’m the kind of person that doesn’t purchase “remove ads” unless I really REALLY love the game. BUT I love the actual GAME part it’s really addictive and it is really idle now that I have so many speed boosts. I HIGHLY recommend if your not bothered by the ads, or if you want to pay for no ads. Great game too many ads.

Fine but semi false remove ad purchase

I purchased the remove ads however IdlePainter fails to mention that it still forces you to watch an ad. Every so many levels it makes you watch an ad to open the next level. The purchase says remove ads but it doesn’t actually remove them other than the forced ads. The game it’s self is decent but it does lie about what is being purchased. Remove ads is remove ads not remove ads but leave random ads. The purchase should read “Kind of remove ads but not really”

Soothing

I’m really enjoying IdlePainter. It’s weirdly soothing to sit there and watch the lines be drawn and form a picture. A few things I want to suggest is I’d like to be able to replay pictures. Not to farm the currency but just to replay the pictures I really like. And then I’d like to be able to downgrade upgrades if I want. Like if I wanted to start over with the pen speed I could do that or go back to just one pen rather than multiple that way you could go back to enjoying the pictures being drawn rather than the pictures being done in seconds.

By

An overall good game.

The reason I give it four stars is simple. Despite being called “Idle”, it has nothing to do with idle. Sure, you get money for upgrades while your gone, but it doesn’t actually PAINT. I found it frustrating because I would leave it on a painting and exit out of IdlePainter , but I’m still in the same spot when I came back. I would be extremely happy if this is fixed. Other than that, the paintings are cool and the controls are smooth.

Needs Fixed

The game is pretty neat and the pictures are very cool. IdlePainter is a bit buggy though. After finishing a picture, IdlePainter will crash from time to time and I’ll have to re-do the picture. Other times the picture will finish and just turn black and will stay that way even at the menu. I haven’t figured out how to fix that. Sometimes when finishing a picture it will flash repeatedly at the menu. It will go away after clicking on a new picture. The game has a good concept but IdlePainter itself needs work.

developers I have a recommendation

Hey I have seen some reviews from others and played it for my self and ya it’s is awesome but I think that you should be allowed to replay levels and I know it’s not easy to do but what I have have in mind is if you choose an already drawn picture then it would give the player two options “draw again” and “share picture”. Again this is just a recommendation

Amazing but I have a few suggestions

This game is very fun and I have been addicted for a week but I have some suggestions. My first suggestion is that there should be a prestige system so you can restart with an even bigger bonus. And my second suggestion is to add a lot more different paintings because I have finished the game. Thank you for your time

Good but some problems

This is really soothing especially after a
long day but there are some problems. There is no sound so it’s really weird to be sitting there watching some thing so if you added like a scribble sound for the drawing that would be nice. Also it crashes some times so you need to fix that. Over good though. I thought I would just point out some problems and hope you would fix it. Keep up the great work!

Good game but terrible add usage

Great game I love it but this game is taking adds and ever single time I tap a button I get an add it bothers me while I’m on the move or doing something and just gets on my nerves I have problems with raging I’ve seen therapists about it but this triggers me ALOT so not as many adds and an auto sell feature would be great because I’ll take my eyes of the screen and it’s already painted so please take this in mind like I said this is just feedback great game though👍

Money Hungry

The in game currency that you get from completing a picture does not transfer to the next one unless you watch an ad. You get an ad between every picture. And then you sometimes have to watch an ad to do a certain picture. I spend more time watching ads than I do enjoying IdlePainter . I understand that you have to cover your costs but at the same time maybe you could do an ad every three pictures? Anything so that I can get more interaction than ad watching would be appreciated or even give me an option to pay to remove ads. I would do that.

Great game

Love this take on idle games. Fun, relaxing, it’s nice to see how the picture colors change every time they are drawn, and drawing them faster and moving on to new pictures is satisfying.

Minor bug I saw is where sometimes pictures don’t show up in the top frame (just a black box). Also didn’t see a way to support the creator to keep working on the game.

By

Mesmerizing, but

I love just watching the pictures render. It’s a beautiful thing.

What this wants to have though, is just an idle mode, where you can select pictures to just render in a loop, even without selling them. I really want this to just sit and render pictures over and over, even if it doesn’t add to the progression at all.

So add a non-progression screen saver mode, and allow the pictures to be selected for what is drawn in that mode.
