New user here, I’ve ordered groceries 3 times. The shoppers have been great and I love that I don’t have to leave my home. I work full time and am getting ready to have my second baby so it’s been useful.

My gripe is that this system takes FOREVER to process payments. I ordered groceries on a Thursday night. It’s now Tuesday night at 11:36pm (going to be Wednesday here soon) and the payment for my last order still has not been removed from my bank account, which is a checking account tied to a debit card. Trying to budget around the money that should have been taken out 5 days ago is frustrating. I’m a middle class working mom and seeing that money sit there while I’m trying to budget other things is endlessly irritating.

At this point I would rather go into the store and shop and have the money removed immediately than to play this game waiting for it to be dispersed almost a week later. If that issue is resolved I’ll use the service again, but until then It’s just too annoying to continue using.

I wanted to try this out and have used it about 6 times in 6 months. But the monthly fee, tips they want $12-20 per pick or delivery, overcharging on items, frequently do not have the items you ordered so you still end up having to go back to store to get missing item, etc. The Shoppers have all been really great but the prices, extra fee after fee and lack of items the store is out of is not worth it when there are so many more affordable options now. Have tried to cancel monthly subscription but they don’t give you the ability to do so or reply to your requests from support. Good idea but too limited in items to support the higher prices! They should be upfront and tell you about all the UPCHARGES AND EXTRA COSTS IN ADDITION TO THE MONTHLY FEES!!! Plan on every order pick up delivery costing in total upwards of $30-$50 more. Great for an emergency but not regular life. Disappointed in Meijer's right now.

A big, glaring downside is that a huge amount of the products that are available in the store aren't listed in shopmeijer . Items that are listed on meijer's website / in the meijer app as "available at our store" are not included in the "this app" app for some reason. Sometimes the items aren't in shopmeijer at all, other times the items only show up if you try using like five other phrasings in your search query to find them. It was easy to look past at first, but after five weeks of having the service, it has actually become very irritating, as it often results in us needing to make extra trips to the store to purchase the items, essentially defeating the purpose of shopmeijer .
Also, while your orders can contribute to your mperks account, shopmeijer has no feature to let you use any rewards your mperks account already has available to it, such as a $20 off next total purchase reward.

Upsides are that it is inexpensive and great for families with busy schedules like us who want to maximize any opportunities for family time we can. Before we were planning our Sundays around grocery shopping, now we have the whole day to do whatever we want.

Also, the shipt shoppers are saints! Without them, this service wouldn't be worth it at all. The shoppers are always friendly, efficient, and excellent communicators above all else.

This is by far one of the best decisions I’ve made. I dislike grocery shopping so much that I will choose not to eat if it means I have to go to the store. After being encouraged by my children to sign up. I did and I am so happy ! Mary (personal shopper) took great care to ensure I was getting the items I ordered and if it was unavailable that I could decide a second option or not.
I placed my order and Mary filled the order text me if something was out and allowed me to replace it with another item. She text me when she was on her way, she text me when she got here, and sent me a photo of them at my door as I requested her to leave them.

For anyone who isn’t able to make it to the store or just plain out isn’t a fan of shopping, I had a great experience! My shopper picked out every item on my list as I asked the fruit was exactly as I wanted it. If there was an item unavailable I was messaged and asked if I would like a different type instead. She was very polite! and it took no time at all from ordering to my grocery’s being at my door step in time to start dinner, all without having to be exhausted taking my three little ones along with me! Very much love this having this option! 🙂

It was the night before the winter storm. Meijer grocery shelves were getting bare. Angela was the lucky one who accepted my shop. In her efforts to ensure I was satisfied with any substitution purchases, her commutations were ongoing. It was evident her mission was to keep me a satisfied customer. She communicated and made recommendations all along. It made my choice responses easy. The substitution she made for my meat (steak) preference was an excellent choice/pick. She was friendly and kind. She made me feel so comfortable, I felt like I could invite her in for a stay, just like family. I greatly appreciate her doing the shopping for me!

She Stayed in communication with me always making sure I received what I ordered or we found A similar substitute instead of just not getting the item at all it’s just super frustrating. The customer service has also been amazing and if anything ever occurs they’ve taken care of it and a few times even giving me a credit on my account for any inconvenience. They are available for any questions with ordering, payments in communication with the shopper it really makes for an easy shopping experience!

My shopper, Dawn was awesome today! Very friendly and pleasant! She was sufficient and called me for the products that were not available asking if I’d like a substitution! I hope to get her again sometime. That’s the only drawback to this service- if I get a shopper who is just wonderful (like Dawn), I wish we could use the same ones again. Otherwise, this service has been a God-send to handicapped people like me. Thank you so much for making my life so much easier!!

As someone who has a hard time consistently being able to make it through a grocery store without debilitating pain, shopmeijer is a wonderful addition to my life.

My only note would be to request that shopmeijer be available in both portrait and landscape mode. I use a keyboard with an iPad Pro that orients the screen in landscape, but shopmeijer doesn’t turn when the screen does. It just means I’m unable to use my keyboard to search when I need.

I have severe nerve damage in my legs and I also watch my granddaughter 5 days a week. Getting to the store is often just too difficult for me. My husband works 12 hour shifts so having him stop isn’t always the easiest thing either. shopmeijer is a true goddess send!!! No dragging toddlers, no fighting other shoppers, no walking when in extreme pain. If I could, I’d give it 10 ⭐️. Oh and it keeps you from buying useless crap as you wander aimlessly looking for what you really came for.

shopmeijer and Meijer’s delivery service through Shipt is a tremendous convenience, especially for us older folks who find it harder to get out and do battle with the crowds in the store. shopmeijer is well organized and easy to use. I especially the ability to add notes to both individual items and the overall order, e.g. my wife likes her bananas a bit green, it is easier for all if groceries are delivered to the back door, etc.

This is such a great service! It saved me so much time and money. I may pay more for the groceries I got, but this service cut out the impulse buying, looking around for things I can’t find, and buying the foods I don’t need. I sent my order just after work and received it at my doorstep. I was able to get chores done. My grocery shopping is done now for the weekend and I will have more time to spend with family and friends.

So Meijer charges for a service on an annual basis, states tipping is not required although every shopper expects tips, and then cranks up the price of items up to 30%. Literally costs about $40 additional each week. Then the inventory management system continues to list items every week that are never in store. It will work fine for those that accept that you are paying an additional $40+ dollars a week in addition to the annual fee. Ridiculous. Do things ethically, honestly, and show the true costs of the service instead of hiding behind random product up-charges.

this app has been so helpful for me and my family! Having our favorite items delivered from our favorite store is a game changer; and since we love Meijer it’s a win-win! Our shoppers have been kind, careful with our items, and always go the extra mile. shopmeijer is well designed, and finding the right brand or product is a breeze. I highly recommend shopmeijer and service!
