Kaplan Schweser Reviews

I click a button and KaplanSchweser freeze for 5 to 10 seconds for any action happens. My required readings will never load. This is all after opening and closing KaplanSchweser multiple times messing around with the VPN’s installing reinstalling, etc. Better to just use the online system with which I’ve had no issues. They say KaplanSchweser is in development, but a lot of these reviews are six years old and it still doesn’t work.

Videos cannot be rewound or fast forwarded.

When rotating between horizontal and vertical viewing, the video cuts out

KaplanSchweser never loads. I sign in and get a black screen and nothing ever loads.

What’s the point of having an app that you can’t ready study materials on

CFA level 1 audio notes are not available

You can only download 1 video at a time and you cannot cue the downloads!

The written material is not accessible offline

How hard is it to display a pdf of the book and contents? It’s 2024 nearly

Can’t access any study materials. Basically no value in KaplanSchweser other then the study calendar

The content won’t load. It just freeze when you try to pull up a page.

Slow. Limited features. Awful user experience.

When I open KaplanSchweser , it only shows a black screen. If I uninstall and reinstall, it shows the log in page, but after logging in it goes to a black screen

Probably the worst user experience app I have had. Unfortunately courses are priced at $1000+ and app keeps crashing, restarting, freezing. On typical study day I spend 1 hour trouble shooting and 1.5 hour studying — which is very unfortunate.

I was going to use KaplanSchweser to listen to the CFA level 1 audio, but that seems to be not even an option. Now I have to manually lig in through my phone to get to it.

Along with other features missing this is grave oversight.

I have had two major issues using KaplanSchweser so far. The first one is that, when you go t Video Lectures on the website, it is all under th respective category such as all ficed income videos under a Fixed Income tab. In KaplanSchweser , the videos are not separated by category and the apps keeps refreshing everytime you move up or down. It is close to impossible to go to video lectures past equity. At some point KaplanSchweser collapses. It would be nice to separate the videos under categories so KaplanSchweser will work less to load the videos and one can navigate more easily.

Second, then you do a qbank quizz on KaplanSchweser , it won’t be synced to the web version of schweser. So you cannot switch between one or the other because you the progress won’t sync. This leaves you with only one option, too choose KaplanSchweser or the website.

App is very slow. It does not allow for downloading and offline listening as well. Please improve.

Although you can take quizzes in KaplanSchweser , that is about all it functionally accomplishes as of this date. The videos don’t work and hardly any of the material from the website is available. Like the review before me said, I’m really disappointed in the quality given Kaplan’s high quality of other products. Honestly, the mobile app was a huge selling point for me over other brands so I feel a little cheated. If you are going to advertise this as part of your comprehensive study packages, you ought to either make a better point that it isn’t all it should be yet, or work to rapidly improve the interface to a level that is actually sufficient for on-the-go studying.

I used KaplanSchweser last year for Level 2 and while it didn’t get off to a great start (I was only able to access the Q bank through KaplanSchweser ), it eventually gave me access to my dashboard, which included Schweser notes and videos/lectures.

Now I’ve purchased my materials for Level 3 and once again, I can’t get anything through KaplanSchweser . I want to be able to read notes/watch lectures during my commute and KaplanSchweser would be great for this, but there’s nothing to access.

Overall, having a functional app is a great idea if you can gain access to your dashboard. But until then, it’s pretty useless.

One enhancement request: can you add a night mode viewing feature to turn the background black? Most people study at night and this will help with sleeping after studying.
