As a physical therapist myself, people ask me “why would you need a workout app? Just do your own thing!” Frankly, I could. But my workout time is special time to me-I don’t want to have to put a lot of thought into it. I like to put on some good music and GO. This program hits all the marks. No matter how out of shape or how advanced you are, you can find a challenging workout. Have a chronic injury or specific weakness? Alternative this app are offered for many exercises. Low intensity, high intensity, low impact, plyometric, core work, prenatal workouts, progressive overload training…all there! It is apparent that a lot of thought went into the workouts. All the major muscle groups are covered in progressive strengthening workouts, all planes of movement are utilized, unilateral work is done to reveal any muscle imbalances, and care is taken to work on core and pelvic floor strengthening as well as accessory muscles that help with joint health and overall function. Warmups and cooldowns are also utilized. MOVES is extremely user friendly and a great way to track progress. The workouts can be done with exercise bands at home, but you will get the most out of this programming if you have access to some weights, even if you have to improvise a bit. Well worth the monthly subscription-honestly I’d pay more than they ask because there’s so much content! Highly recommend!!!
