A good enough but fairly limited app.

If you’re looking for good pizza by you, download this now.

One Bite app is easily better than Yelp Google reviews for that. You see pics (or maybe even video) on the reviews of pizzas in your area, see opinions on the pizza, see Dave’s score if you care about that, and best of all, you’ll be able to post all that kind of stuff about your own local pizza joints if it doesn’t exist. It gets the job done.

It’s lacking some fairly important features though that I think would be easy to implement. There’s a pizzeria near me they have the wrong address for. I actually went out of my way to attempt to correct it on Apple Map (One Bite app’s source for addresses) and even though it’s fixed on there, it’s not fixed on One Bite.

I also want to be able to edit and post multiple reviews of the same place. I always review the plain, but a great place is usually good at multiple types of pizzas. Maybe they add a feature where you could edit in a sub-score for other slices, because as of now you have to write (and it deletes) your entire first review. Only work around is to make multiple accounts to post reviews.

I could sit here and think of some other features they could easily add, but I think the big thing you’ll get out of the One Bite app is seeing how people rate the pizza joints around you. Most of you local joints are probably listed if not reviewed, and if not, download this and add you’re own review.

Monumental

I got OneBite because I’m a stoolie. But I’m keeping OneBite because it’s actually pretty useful. There are a lot of nights when I finish reading Dostoevsky, and my maids have all gone home for the weekend, the logs in my marble mantle place are smoldering their last, and I’m too lazy from $4,000 wine to change out of my velvet smoking jacket that I just want to order a pizza. Most of the places Dave rates aren’t delivery, but I send my whipping boy. Anyway, I only order from 7.3+ places, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Portnoys onto something here. The guy’s not as smart as I am, but he’s almost as good at eating pizza as I am.

Brooklyn Square Upside Down Pizza!

Despite the fact that I forgot to order pepperoni, this was a phenomenal pizza and all around AMAZING! I literally just cut 17 lbs from 15 January 226 to 209 in Wyoming for this pizza after seeing Portnoy’s review for a Sicilian pizza in my wife’s home town! I was not disappointed. I even walked in to pick up my order from calling in asking for “the pizza David Portnoy reviewed” and met the owner behind the glass as he taking phone call orders. He was genuine Paisan! The pizza, well I ate seven slices of it..... it was great! I highly recommend it to anyone. Great Job Brooklyn Square!

Barstool does it again

It seems so stupid, but in all honesty anyone that follows the pizza reviews has been yearning for an easy way to see where pres has reviewed. Add on the fact that this just gives general pizza locations, then this is absolutely perfect. I love pizza till i die and I’m sure everyone else does, and i actually appreciate OneBite in how it incorporates barstools pizza reviews but also does help the user find any old pizza joint and do what they want with it. Long live the stool and this all is going to grow as large as barstool itself!

Ok - can’t add locations

I’ve had many pizzas from locations that aren’t on OneBite but probably should be. These locations are even on Yelp as having pizza. Not sure where the disconnect is or what data they are pulling from but there should be an option to “add location” that would be vetted by a staff member.
That’s my main complaint. The other complaint is that you can’t go back to edit the review. If you want to edit, you have to delete the review and resubmit. I’ve never seen this before. In every beer rating app and major food rating sites, you can edit the review.

Best Pizza

You have to try A Slice of New York Pizza in Manor, PA. The ingredients are locally sourced and delicious. The sauce is homemade and the dough is hand tossed. The crust is light and crunchy and holds up..doesn’t wilt. The owner has traditional thin crust and Sicilian, which is a thicker crust. It’s a family owned business and they make you feel like your eating from their kitchen. Order early because the owner only makes so many and day and when he’s out, that’s it! You won’t be disappointed!!

One review everybody knows the rules

5/5? No way. That’s a perfect score. You’re saying this is the best app you ever used. It’s a 8/10 so I give it 4 stars. What is that a pizza app? Yeah it’s a good app. Find some slices near you, eat them rate them I don’t care. One bit everybody knows the rules. You can’t just go out and get a slice without checking the score. Give the slice a score you know what you’re doing.

Cheese is the gold label pizza, rabbits don’t eat pizza they eat vegetables. Keep them away from the pizza. Get outta here.

Needs to be able to edit locations and info

This is a solid app overall. You can post and look up spots easily. The HUGE issue is some spots are closed or not even on the map or mislabeled. There isn’t a way to send in a support edit or edit it yourself. There’s also many pizza joints I’ve found that are not on the map and are amazing places. They need to make it where the community can submit comments and changes so OneBite can be flawless. When they fix that I’ll change this rating. :)

Best App

Best app for pizza lovers. Hands down. Only critique I would give is that in order to help build the whole community aspect of it, allow us to search for other usernames to follow instead of only being able to follow them if you see their review and click their profile. Unless you can already do that and I just don’t know how.

Update: I’m a moron and you can do exactly what I said I couldn’t figure out how to do. It is indeed a perfect app.

Good app...... HOWEVER

I really enjoy OneBite. It allows you to review the pizza by either a still picture or a one minute video. I usually just take a picture, but from time to time I will make a video to keep
It interesting. The other day I noticed the amount of reviews I had were down 4-5. I believe all of them were videos, but I can’t be sure, I just know the number of reviews are down. Can anyone explain this to me? Has this happened to anyone else, and what is the reason for taking down a review??

It gave me purpose

I think every man comes to a point in life where we get sucker punched in gut with a “What are you doing with your life?” I got a good job, a nice house, 2 cars, a beautiful love goddess wife and 2 beautiful blonde model looking kids. What more could ya want? But there was something missing something that could help me reflect presciently on the food I enjoy the most PIZZA. The One Bite app gave me the tool and the purpose to find true meaning in life.

Great app stupid people

I never write reviews but I felt this was necessary. OneBite is great, shows you every place who sells Pizza. There’s no issues with that, however I do not agree with all of these rookie scores coming from uneducated people. I’ve been to Pizzaria Regina in Boston and I 100% agree with the prez, but when my local college pizza places have ratings of 8.8 that’s where I can’t deal with it. There needs to be some guidelines put in place to stop people from making mediocre pizza places seem better than they are.

Fat-Mans Review Redneck Style

Has the opportunity to try Gusano’s Chicago Style pizza . I personally like thin crust like Ole El Presidento …. So I got thin crust .. it’s was ok .. probably little cheesy not to light ..but .. this is a deep dish place so to be fair .. I’m going back to give it a review .. The service and the atmosphere was a 9.9 ., Clean , lively . Really nice place . Big screen TVs all kinds of Beers ., Huge menu .. Awesome place.. Take Fat- Mans advice and go.,

One bite everybody knows the rules

I love OneBite. Very good idea to avoid comments, because everybody thinks they know best. Only thing I’ll say is that sometimes I’m not sure about the like and dislike buttons. Sometimes I think it’s a good review, but I don’t like the way the pizza looks. Might be tedious but having a button for liking the review or liking the picture or video might be a nice touch.

Just download it.

I wrote this while it download because that’s how sure I am that this will be the number one app in the store. It finished downloading and boom, just a slap to the face to wake me up and realize how much pizza I’m missing out on. Team Portnoy all the way, reviews are nothing but pure gold. Do yourself a favor, stop being a waste of time on this planet and review some pizza along side the prez. #vivalastool

Love and hate it

I got OneBite because my husband is a New Yorker, we’re both stoolies and we’re eternally searching for decent pizza in Cali. Love that I can open it and instantly find pizza around me, used it in Australia, super clutch. Hate that other people can leave reviews. People give everything an 8 or 9 and it’s like garbage chain pizza. But love the usefulness of the pizza and only trust reviews from Dave...

Always use!

Yeah, I use this every time I try a new place. And it’s incredibly helpful when you are on vacation or business travel.

The ONLY reason I’d go 4 instead of 5 stars is the inability to add a restaurant. That might not be power you want to give to just anyone. But it would be nice to submit a form or something for a new pizza place in town.

App needs a fix

OneBite is great but you either have a really stupid following or kids in need of their own attention. Steve’s pizza downtown rated bad by portnoy then two reviews Charlys pizza giving that chess pool a 7( same establishment) covering review icon . Pomodoro pizza downtown nyc rector Street . Two icons with reviews also same name and address this time. Let’s get to one icon per establishment.

One slice vs an entire pie.

I’m sorry but Dave has been unfairly reporting on these pizza places from the start. He tends to walk out of a “pizza place” with either One Slice or an entire pie. Everyone knows that if you walk out of a pizza place with one slice it has been re heated which gives it an extra crisp factor compared to a pie that has been prepared on the spot. Anyplace that he has given a review to one slice should be given a re do with a fresh pie or vice versa. It’s only right and if you deny them then you are truly a conman. I hope that you give this feedback some serious thought.

Color me shocked

I thought OneBite was going to be a joke just like the rest of barstool. but no it ended up being one of the most comprehensive well-designed efficient and easy to use apps I have ever seen in my entire life of owning a smart phone. I'm so impressed with OneBite I may go open my own pizzeria right now just to get in on this action.

Missing one feature

Great app, but would be perfect if OneBite was able to show which pizza restaurants I have visited and rated. For example if I rated a pizza place, the restaurant icon should be blue (as apposed to red) on the map. And when I click on the restaurant, it would show Dave’s rating, the community rating, and MY rating. Think about it please.

Did Pres do it again or did Pres do it again?

Simply put, OneBite is genius. Huge brain stuff. Shows you a map of every single pizza place in the entire world, and allows you to see other people’s reviews and leave your own. So simple, yet so valuable. I use OneBite every time I’m looking to grab a slice. Highly recommend.

Great Design

I’m very impressed with the look of OneBite right of the bat. It’s a great idea that allows you to see local pizza places in your area and see reviews by the everyday common people. Who doesn’t love pizza? This gives you the opportunity to find that hidden gem in your area.

I will definitely be recommending this to others.

Missing Pizza Places

Longtime Stoolie. Was super stoked when I heard about OneBite and downloaded it. Opened up OneBite , and realized that my favorite thin crust pizza place in Chicago isn’t even on OneBite . How is this even possible? This place has great pizza, and I cant even do a review for it. What is the point of even having OneBite? How many good pizza places are you guys missing? Very disappointing. If this is going to be the type of product quality Barstool puts out— Barstool isn’t going to last long. Fix it. Kroll’s South Loop. And fix the existential problem that is OneBite missing pizza places.
