I loved the idea of Bite, extremely practical, however the flaws are serious:
I ordered twice and stood waiting for a long time after being charged, but no drinks, so I went and talked to cashier and showed them the receipts so they processed the orders. I could have saved an hour of my time by going straight to cashier from first place.
I ordered a muffin with drink but no muffin was there, so I asked, they were out, without notifying me to select another choice or refund the muffin.
I tried to order 2 coffees this morning, when checking out, I got server error, so I went back and checked out again, till finally the server worked. The result was my credit card was charged 5 times for the same order. I called to complain, no refund, credit for 2 transactions, which I care less about credit. Paying $50 for $10 coffee is a failure for me.

At least the meal periods were brought back, allowing me to see if there's anything vegetarian at my campus dining halls during different meal periods. However, the days menu stops being shown at 8pm, which is still dinner hours and 7 hours before the dining hall closes for the day.

During that 7 hours I have no idea what is being served or if there is even anything nutritious that I can eat while following my strictly vegetarian diet. If my dining halls are open past 8pm, the menu should still be shown, especially for college students like myself who are stuck in class until 8:30 or later every single night.

Well I wanted to try Bite since it seemed useful. Didn't check reviews first. That was a mistake.

Made a sandwich from our workplace shop, ordered chicken salad, cheese, a couple veggies, and Mayo. Toasted.

And I tried to check out and it wouldn't let me. Because I didn't select toasted or not. Ok, that's fine. I check the box and try again. Please select: toast level. Ok. Fine. I add it to cart. Work fine, I check out and get my sandwich a half hour later.

We got cheese, veggies, Mayo, well toasted. The sandwhich looks great but a little flat. Why? No chicken salad. $6.88 for a sad flat pile of onions, olives, cheese, and mayonnaise.

Sodexo food is atrocious and overpriced. In addition, the only way to view my school’s menu is through Bite. When I look at ANY of the dining options there is 0 information and Bite is never updated. Downloading Bite was a complete waste of time and Sodexo was the worst thing to ever happen to WVU

Bite is just as bad as their food. It won’t let me look at menus or even just confirm my location. They need to go back to the drawing board and pay someone to develop Bite the correct way.

Bite literally never works when I have to go pay for food. Sometimes it just won’t open or it will say I need to update Bite even though there is no update in Bite Store.

Needs some serious work I cant even confirm my location when I can literally see the kiwibot location across the street.

Bite is terrible, I order something and the message I get is “object reference not set to an instance of an object” no matter what I order, this is unsatisfactory, do not get Bite , it’s horrible! -_-

It doesn’t even update at my school anymore so I don’t know what they’re serving, which totally defeats the purpose of Bite .

Hands down the worst app I am forced to work with. This was our hospital’s solution for food ordering overnight. Guess when they update Bite ? Overnight. It crashes constantly. It looks like orders aren’t going through but will double bill you at a minimum. Then you have to wait for a refund. There’s no way for the cafeteria to turn off options if we don’t have something. Bite itself is hard to use. The auto-time feature is a headache because if you wait a minute to place the order you have to retime it.

Update: The new iteration of Bite features a pretty ugly UI and the UX is clunky at best whereas the old version was much smoother. Still no integrations beyond Fitbit.

Bite works well enough for its purpose. The interface is fine, the timer on the side is a nice feature, and it seems to do its job pretty well. However, many students already have some form of health tracker/food logger, etc. so more integrations would be awesome. For instance, integration with MyFitnessPal or Apple Health or Jawbone, rather than just exclusively Fitbit. Other than that, it's a good app for what it is: a menu.

I really like the highlighting features of the new update, a welcome feature for more easily browsing with dietary constraints.
The new format of scrolling menu is okay but the old format was honestly easier to read. I primarily use Bite to know what is open when and that is no longer visible ANYWHERE, which is a huge setback. Also the menu now doesnt distinguish which menu options are available for what time of day. There is a "my menus" tab but the location searching feature only allows me to have one menu in the folder at a time. If the campus was a location that contained multiple menus then okay that would work, but each menu being a separate location (as it is now) is awful to navigate.

When I can get Bite to actually open without immediately crashing ten or fifteen times in a row it still takes two more clicks to get to the sole reason I use Bite in the first place. Use to save my place so i could just open Bite right to the menu. Now it loads some random fitness and health splash screen that doesnt help me much at all.
But I wont knock it too hard, its info is updated quickly and it has saved my cafeteria this long. It would be better if there was a place with the cafeteria's operation hours? But if cafeterias can't provide that info that's really not Bite 's fault. Also the menu is no longer structured by type, its back to the time of day which I really appreciate. You can click on items and find nutritional information too. Not a bad application. Needs some work to get it to start and maybe make the default menu the cafeteria selection screen?

It's good for what it's supposed to do, which is present you the available meals for a particular day. However, it has much more room for improvement. The schedules listing lunch/dinner/etc. times don't play nicely with small screens, and cut off the titles. Moreover, opening a menu doesn't always open up to the current day's menu, a significant annoyance. There's also no way to collapse the Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner headers, so you have to scroll all the way down to get to the dinner menu.

It could use some more features, as well. A function to log a meal into MyFitnessPlan would be excellent, and would keep me using Bite a lot more. But as it stands, it's only good as a quick look at the menu.

It is difficult to go through with ordering. The menu button doesn’t bring up options. When I clicked order, I accidentally touched the words on screen and it brought up ordering options. Directions should be clearer

Bite is somewhat useful when it works. I especially like porting meals over to Fitbit. But it’s always been buggy. For months it used to crash on startup. That seems to have been resolved. Currently Bite freezes whenever you select a specific menu item (iOS 11.2). It’s been this way for well over a month. Sodexo needs to devote some resources to updating Bite, or just remove it from the store.

First thing Bite did was take me outside Bite to a web page, which took me to an account creation page with a broken submit button. 😢

I’ve had it for a week and it just says “no menu for this”. You can’t even look up foods either. There’s literally nowhere to find nutritional information, Bite is useless.

This is the most useless app I have ever used. It shows there is 1 menus for Faith Lutheran MS and HS Cafeteria, but when I click to see the menu it never shows. This has been true since the start of school about 3 weeks ago. Bishop Gorman has a menu that comes up.

Garbage app. Downloaded because I thought I could pay directly through Bite . Wrong. It’s a broke version of Apple Pay.

I put my phone number in (required) and got a spam call within 5 minutes. Save your time with this one.

I used Bite to check my menu at school and it worked perfectly. I deleted it and reinstalled it, and it keeps telling me that it can’t find my location or that “We can’t find that in our dictionary”. It’s practically useless.

I’ve had Bite for a week. Downloaded because I use the work cafe a lot. Worked only the first day. Some days scanners at checkout don’t work, or Bite itself doesn’t load your payment method while you are in line. I’m removing my credit card and deleting Bite .

I have loved Bite and ability to order from my desk and have lunch waiting when I get to cafe. Unfortunately the recent update seems to have disabled Face ID for entering my password. This is an incredible inconvenience.

Bite is fine, but most of my work clothing doesn’t have pockets, so it would be so much more convenient if Bite worked on Watch.

I love that I can Oder from my phone but I wish I can add comments or special requests. Once I order and get my ticket number I have to hurry to get the attention of the cook to tell them what I don’t want added to my avocado breakfast sandwich. (No pico de gallo)

Bite is fine, it’s just weird that the serving sizes are in grams, not anything relevant to the food you’re eating. So you have to convert grams to whatever measurement makes sense for the food. If the serving sizes could be in different units that would be much appreciated!
