The new version of this application is not working properly, every time I access the application it freeze .. and I should delete the application and reinstall it to make it work again.

Requires a mobile number for every interaction but doesn’t accept numbers outside of +90, nor does it accept foreign banks for payment.
Had my card added from a friend and after setting up my own phone and account to get it to work it denied my card even though my friend removed it from there account, saying it didn’t belong to me.
Most importantly links to terms and service and privacy policies don’t work, and you can’t review, cancel, or unsubscribe from ongoing communications.
İstanbulkart was a disappointment.

It is not working with old cards and also not saying what is wrong. If you have a new card, you must have a phone with working nfc. It is not worth to download..

same phone cannot be used for two accounts. Unless you have a phone number you wont be able to ise İstanbulkart. doesnt work with email verification. password box keeps warning even for proper passwords. I wasnt able to use it.

So, if you do not have a TR phone number or a TR ID number, you can’t register or buy credits for your card online. It also would not accept foreign ccs. Basically, it is not planned for foreigners use. What shame in a city that claims to be both European and Asian.
If you are TR, you have to provide your unique ID number which is the exact same thing as being asked your SSN to buy a Metrocard in NY. Save yourself the headache, travel by cab. With the exchange rate, you’d be saving merely pennies on mass transit.

Finally works for foreigners and its very helpful. But the user interface is from 10 years ago and a bit confusing. Also please allow for credit card auto fill from my saved credit cards. Thank you.

Topped up, app draws money from bank account. Then it asked me to go replace my card in a nearest station to add the money to the card.
