A zero star rating should be available. I only purchased the service to get my dogs meds so I wouldn’t have to go into a vet because of COVID. You don’t find out they can’t do meds until after the purchase. I didn’t use the service, immediately cancelled and deleted the app within minutes) but they still charged me and said “you can continue to use the service until…" I DONT WANT YOUR SERVICE!!!! and of course the ONLY WAY to contact them is via email. Why would anyone purchase a vet service where they literally can’t do ANYTHING but talk to you and tell you to go see a real vet? They will probably screw me (a disabled veteran on a fixed income) out of the $65 too. I will update the review after they email me back. If they do. Very misleading.

I have been recommending Firstvet to everyone i know with a pet for the last year. Today I signed on to make an appointment and EVERYTHING had changed. Instead of just looking through and picking a date/time/vet I first had to chat with a nurse for 30 minutes answering questions. I have loved this service because I was able to pick the vets we had seen before and not answer the same questions again. Also, I think I saw that a wellness visit is no longer included? That does not make sense to me. I’m pretty disappointed that there wasn’t an email at least to notify of all of the changes since it is a subscription service. I signed up for 24/7 access to video chats with veterinarians. That is no longer what this is.

Speaking with a Vetrinarian through the video chat was so helpful! Dr. Lu did a thorough intake and evaluation of our elderly Golden Labrador Retriever and provided me with the next steps that would be of the greatest benefit to Lucy. I HIGHLY recommend this app and the yearly unlimited visit subscription!! It will save a lot of money for us overall because we have access to a certified Vetrinarian 24/7 who will help us evaluate and clarify events for ER, and those that can be treated at home, or wait for an appointment with our regular vet. Dr. Lu was not only very knowledgeable, but also genuinely kind, caring and compassionate! If you have pets of any kind, I highly recommend getting this app and signing up for their services.
