A new issue. I sold some ETH in the Metal Pay app, cashing it out for Metal Cash. I am able to withdraw these funds by transferring them to my bank if I choose, but when I try to purchase any crypto product, my balance displays as $0. I cannot see any place within the app that shows my balance as not being settled, and I would think I could not withdraw the funds to my bank if they were not settled. What is the point of Metal Pay cash if it is treated differently depending on the transaction type you are attempting to complete? If there is a difference in the way these funds are treated by Metal Pay based on the way the user is attempting to utilize them, the documentation of such handling is poor enough that I have not been able to locate it.
Update: I contacted Metal Pay support and received a response that my funds cannot be used due to a delay with MTL sell orders. This issue does not relate to a MTL sale and I am able to transfer the funds out to my bank if I want to, so this issue does not appear to be relevant to me. I am disappointed that Support would try to assign blame on an issue that does not, on its face, have anything to do with my issue. If somehow it does relate to my issue, the Sell Order outage notice does not indicate such, nor did the feedback from Support. Extremely troubling for a company that wants me to trust them with my money and crypto.

I thought I would try out Metal Pay’s ACH direct deposit system, probably not the best idea considering we’re in the middle of a pandemic which is killing the economy and specifically hadn’t received a paycheck for over a month prior to this direct deposit. Received an email and push notification with a exciting confetti animation and all....when I attempt to send that money out the app displays an error telling me that I don’t have permission, REALLY?! I don’t have permission to use my money?!?!
So then I thought okay, I’ll just buy some crypto with it and cash it out that way, NOPE WRONG! Also blocked from doing that, received an error I had insufficient balance a thought the balance at the bottom of the buying portal showed a positive balance from my direct deposit.
Being extremely disappointed and now very stressed and concerned considering everything going on in the world, I contact support and receive a quick reply from Jeremy whom tells me he will forward my ticket to a support specialist who may take up to 3 business days before I get a reply! Cool METAL PAY, thanks I’m sure you guys need those funds a lot more than my extremely broke self.

Here we go....
Opened account with all items required upon account implementation. IDs, face scan, & more. I began using account and liked it a lot but then all of sudden my account was frozen without any warnings or time to remedy ...for not being able to verify the items the app captured (ID -face scan etc). I responded within hour with the documents again. I'm now on 3rd business day of being locked out from some funds (thank god I did not have more) and can't get in to dispute what's an incorrect debit by metal pay. So...you follow the instructions and they'll hold your money & your info hostage for 3 plus days and if you follow up with Chat or email they give you generic busy response with the added stupidity of someone any new emails I send yo follow up just moves my original to theback of line. So basically, don't bother us. Also, there is nobody that will contact the mystical approval time so no wasting time as customer service to get you estimate. They'll disrespect you / don't use
