WePhone: Internet & WiFi Calls Reviews

I haven’t had issues with WePhone. I been using it over the years to call my relatives in France. I like the free credit we get for checking-in. I updated WePhone recently and didn’t have issues with our credit transferring. I haven’t done a comparison but I think rates are nice and low. The only thing I’m a little confused about is that I have this app installed on my iPad and when my mom had her own iPad I wanted her to share the account with me. I didn’t realize but I installed WeTalk Pro on her tablet and it seems to work exactly same as this app. Our credit shows up the same so it’s same account but I guess different app name.

I have used this app for two years.
this app has proven to be reliable, with good sound quality, even at the economy level. Beats skype for reliability, sound quality and price.

WePhone did come in handy if worse comes to worse and you need to make a long distance call but even then there are still ways around long distance calls that won’t charge you much or anything at all... I’ve gotten WePhone and put 10-20$ at a time to keep as a balance... the first time it asked me to update I did and it cleared my remaining balance of almost 20$ that I paid for.... Then again I tried using WePhone and it asked me to upgrade again... if you cancel the update notification it closes you out of WePhone so again, I updated and lost 8$ of my remaining balance... moral of the story, WePhone barely works and takes your money! Don’t bother with it or only put an amount that you think you will use in one phone session.

REVISED from 1 star to 3 due to a support response/fix but Very poor communication after a forced update, where credits disappeared as well as the watch videos for credit feature. Finally after about 4 days I received a response saying I needed to login with my email and then my credits would reappear. About two or three years later, the watch videos for credit feature also reappeared. Havent made calls yet after the update. Try being proactive and communicating with users next time and avoid poor ratings. But then developers are never proactive or know how to communicate...

I updated my phone to the new iOS 12 and it appeared that I had lost all of my credits… I emailed in the area of where you give feedback and there was good communication between myself and Customer Service! After explaining what happened, my account was reinstated with all the credits that I had had prior to the update. Many people have reviewed this situation as a scam, but it is not, all you have to do is communicate!
I recommend this app highly!!!!

WePhone allows me to make international calls through WiFi for extremely low prices. I don’t use the texting but I like how I can change my phone number if I want, although I have my actual phone number verified. The international calling is clear and the quality is quite good. Definitely recommend WePhone for travelers or anyone who pays for calling minutes through their cell phone provider.

I am using WePhone for a couple of years, calling from the United States to Europe and the Middle East. when I had to download the new updated version my credit that I purchased at the previous app hasn’t been transferred to the new version. I emailed customer service, they responded within 2 min and transferred my credit to the new app.
I was very satisfied with the service.

For the most part never had a problem with it and calls have been clear as long as my WiFi was good lol... I didn’t lose any credits during the forced update as someone else mentioned. I love that you can have it call and use your own landline or text and use your own mobile when calling people long distance. Definitely a savings.

WePhone help me when I was an Emergencies and when I’m I would’ve made it always turn my hotspot on and used it it save my life so many times i’ll give it a five star rating because if I have to call the school for converses help me a lot my kids are safe and sound because I was WePhone. Thank you for saving my life dear we phone

The sound was not clear I could have all the message I need to send in less than half that I am I took to make that call because the salon was very fade from boss way I have to repeat what I say and they have to repeat what they say and this is one of the time most of the time it was ok

I have used this out many times over the years if I have accidentally left my phone at home, misplaced my phone, or prefer using wi-fi. You earn credits by using WePhone , referring to friends via social media, etc. This is the best app I have found that allows me to make phone calls from my iPad.

A few days ago I updated my phone but inadvertently closed down my Apple ID and forgot to transfer the WE PHONE credit I had. I check in everyday lol but one quick message to customer service and voila it’s been transferred. Thank you

WePhone worked great! It was such an easy setup! I love the fact that you can watch videos to get more call credits! If you want to call on WePhone you must have money on WePhone ! It is a penny per minute on the phone! Just the fact of sitting back after a long day of work and calling a friend is amazing! :)

I have made a twenty payment for credits and didn’t get any credits. Thinking that maybe payment didn’t get through I resubmitted another twenty dollar credit and I still didn’t see any credits added. The very next day the payments went through on my bank account and still I have not get my now forty dollar credits. I do not wish for any future users to get WePhone. I have email to the customer support but is not going to be an immediate response and there is not a phone number to call so that also is a big NO GOOD.

If you update to the latest version they immediately shut down your account for some reason. No response from customer service when contacting them. You’re better off with other apps that have better customer service. I had to file a complaint with iTunes to get my credit back

For some reason I am not able to send txt messages but I can receive them. I am able to make calls and receive calls but not able to send txt messages, I have reported through the feedback option in App, I have uninstalled and reinstalled WePhone and still have same issues, anybody can help with that ?

Certainly got a better quality call them are usually do when I call from Australia to my children in the United States on FaceTime. Did get an occasional missed phrase but it was very rare and spoke for over 20 minutes.

I had about 50 dollars worth of credit in the old app and was forced to do the update. That money is now gone. I had to spend more money to buy minutes. WePhone works fine but I want my money from the previous app back because it didn’t carry over.

I have use WePhone several times to call England from the United States. The calls went through without any problem, and the voice quality was indistinguishable from using a landline. I definitely recommend WePhone.

I have no issue with a forced update, but to delete all of my credit without anyway for me to get it back (currently out of the country, so even if the phone verification works, it won’t now). I used WePhone as my emergency go-to when I travel and it has failed... I couldn’t even go into the old app to update any account information for an easy transfer. Poor planning and now I’m out all of the credit I payed for & accumulated through advertisements..

Further enhancement on the voice call as to let it be clear call quality will most welcome.
