My new favorite

Thinkr is simple yet effective. I’m very happy to run through many books absorbing many tittles in a single day. If a book is good I'll put it on my reading list to dive deeper and if a book is bad I’m happy I didn't buy it or waste my time reading it.

I’d just like to say to the developer- please add functionality enabling users to suggest new book titles, very important!

Good book summaries, needs one important feature

This is a good book summary app. I’ve enjoyed reading the books and being able to add them to a personal library. There is an important feature missing, however, which I have observed in other book summary apps. It is the inability to filter books by unread versus completed. It’s not an issue in the beginning, but as one completes more books, it becomes increasingly difficult to select a book you have not already read.

Have to log in again every time

I can’t even capitalize on the super condensed versions available through Thinkr because it has required me to log back in every single time and re-download the books I had in my library.

It often rejects my credentials and has never allowed Keychain to store them. Today it informs me I have to sign in again and then pick a subscription rate. That would have been acceptable had it not been presented as a “free” app when I originally downloaded it - and if it listed “in-app purchases in Thinkr Store.

I love the concept but it isn’t working for me. Figure it out, clean it up, present the costs clearly and make it be something I can just click on and enter my library. I’m out until then.

Excellent App!

Been using Thinkr for about a week now, and am greatly impressed with it. It's easy to use and well designed. Well worth its $10 per month fee.

In the next version I'd like to see the developers add two features that many audio readers really appreciate and use often:

1) the ability to control at which speed they hear the summaries read, either slower or faster depending on the topic - at 10% intervals (90% of normal speed, 80% of normal, 70%, etc.).

2) the ability for the listener to click backward (or forward) in 10-second intervals to quickly review material.

These two highly valued features would radically improve an already superb app!

Bad design with limited / weak content

For starters, it doesn’t work in a landscape position for my iPad so you won’t be able to use your keyboard which is ridiculous. Secondly, the summaries are very short and incomplete. I started with 12 Rules for Life - it contained five, two-minute chapters that did not cover all the rules. Really? I looked up Animal Farm - they don’t have it. I really couldn’t find many of the great books, and cancelled my subscription. Oh, you’ll have to do that on their Website even thought I set everything up through Thinkr - just another reason to not like this product.

Chew on this.

One of the reasons I enjoy reading scriptures, proverbs, and poems, is that in a short amount of time my mind and spirit are fed.

This is similar, but with a little more meat on the bones.

I will often end up taking the ideas and striking up conversation with them. Which means I’m only further engaging with the ideas. Keep up the good works, developers.

Great App!

There is nothing better than reading a good book and since there are so many it’s hard to read them all. Thinkr lets me get the highlights and overview of the books. Gives me the options of still learning and then I buy the books I want to learn more about. Love it!

This is an amazing resource for my busy life!

With my hectic schedule and the overwhelm of the “information age,” Thinkr is a simple and powerful tool for my furthered education. These succinct insights provide me with a thorough introduction to everything I would want to know about books I just haven't had the chance to read yet. Thumbs up!

Scam

You only get a few pages of each book, the search features doesn’t work well, the setting feature is limited you have to use a desktop to control it, there are several better reading apps which are dependable compared to this dumb app. I thought it was related to mental health because of the advertisement and it turns out it’s just a reading app. The three day free version you do not get to see the whole book and I think this company preyed on people during this covid time with its advertising. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE SHAme on you.

I learn something new every day

The point of Thinkr is to make you think, and it does just that. You get the key ideas from bestselling titles in a matter of minutes. And the book selection is great, too. Most of the apps on my phone waste my time, but this one is entertaining and educational.

Speed reader!

I love the quick reads Thinkr has. I get an in-depth idea of what these books are about without having to read more than the couple of short chapters in each summary. Makes purchasing new books that I know I will love so much easier! I recommend 100%.

Great Knowledge App

I’m very curious and wish to know many things. I’m also, unfortunately, very impatient! 😂 Thinkr distills the knowledge of the book into quick, easy to grasp, easy to read, portions for the impatient reader.

Tasty bytes of Wisdom

this app does a good Jon of summarizing books and hitting you with the meat of the sandwich up front. I’ve read multiple books in their library and they sum them up accurately and succinctly! A great experience so far.

Where Has This Been My Whole Life

I’ve always struggled reading non-fiction but with this I can stay focused on the main points and not get sidetracked with all the filler. Its also a great way to get interested on a new topic and then go and research it further.

Perspective and power in short essays

I love that I learn the principle ideas from start to finish. Everything in context and ultimately powerful in impacting my perspective from the great thinkers of our time.

An important resource!

I love being able to get the key points of transformative texts while I’m on the go! Thanks for providing concise content that doesn’t miss the intellectual depth of the author’s message!

App Will not Take my Credentials

Great product with poor App design. The application has never authenticated my credentials. I have to use the browser always.
