Great, but one more feature would be perfect

I have the this app Wakey and it’s easily the best bedside alarm clock ever made, especially for smartphone users. However, it’s missing one thing that would make it perfect - an Apple Watch app. This way, you could run its audio through your Apple Watch Bluetooth rather than your iPhone. For example, my wife goes to bed before me and wants the sound machine on, which I run through this phone app. But then that means I cannot run any other audio from my phone. I’d like to, for example, watch Netflix with my AirPods before I fall asleep, but it auto runs through the Wakey. If I change the Bluetooth output to my airpods, I can’t run the sound machine any longer. Are there any plans in a future update to fix this issue without having a dedicated device solely to send audio to the Wakey via soundcore? An Apple Watch might be an easy workaround?

Headphone Better than App - App no so good and not necessary

Earbuds have proven well. Normal issues where one earbud does not last as long as the other. As for soundcore , it is not very reliable. Connection is not immediate, often taking several tries. Constantly sticks with ‘Retry’ as it cannot connect even though headphones/earbuds are connected and in full use. Even had times where entire life of earbud is used and app never connects. In all cases, phone is sitting on my desk not more than 6 inches from earbuds. When soundcore works, there are some cool features but they have rendered themselves useless since just connecting to soundcore is such an effort. All the updates to soundcore still have not solved this issue. It does not make sense how this simple Bluetooth connection fails connection of soundcore while the equipment is working fine. Coding needs to be looked at again and refined.

Soundcore is a Great Product , in my opinion the sound is better than my AirPods 1-2 .

The this app Sport Air were left in my pants on laundry day. They got a full heavy duty wash and a heavy duty dry . I’m not gonna lie they were super hot when I took them out and didn’t work that day. I totally forgot about them for 2 weeks and decided to upgrade to the Liberty 2 since I thought my Sport Air were done. 2 weeks later I found them in my travel bag and decided to charge them just one more time hoping they would work .... they did charge !! :D I charged them fully and at the moment I’m using them lol , this shows how tough this earphones really are. I love them and would prefer them over AirPods !!

Great app but

soundcore is overall awesome but there is one minor detail. I have a flare + and had it connected to my iPad. Then I downloaded the this app app and tried pairing it in soundcore . I selected the flare series and when it brought that up, it says flare and under it says connect. I assumed it meant all the flares (flare mini, flare, flare+, etc). When I tapped the connect button, it loaded for a while and said error. I tried everything and it still didn’t work. Then I looked at the reviews and I learned you have to swipe to choose your model. After that, it worked, but it is still very confusing. I think there should be arrows or something indicating that you have to select your model. That is my only issue so far.

Outstanding Application

This is one well done app. I’ve had absolutely no problems connecting with my Life Q20+, Life Dot2s, or my latest Liberty 3Pro’s. In fact it’s using soundcore with the latter that prompted me to write a review.

Maybe it’s sounding like I’m an Anker fanboy…I guess that may be so…but with good reason. The versatility of soundcore with the Liberty 3 Pros is amazing! Sure you can switch between ANC and transparency modes, and assign various touch patterns to the functions as you prefer ( and there’s a bunch) but mostly I like the ability to customize numerous EQ curves. Or is it the ability to manually adjust the desired level of noise cancellation? Not sure, but it’s nice to have the ability. You can also choose from numerous preset curves and leave the ANC/transparency on auto, your choice! soundcore is all about “your choice”.

soundcore also did a nice job figuring out my specific ear canal acoustics and tuning a curve to it. Well done!

I could drone on and on for sure, I guess. I just wanted to say WELL DONE Anker!

Missing something

I have the liberty air 2 and although they are working great there is one thing that I wish it had the ability to do and hope that the next earbuds WILL have, it is to be able to switch devices from soundcore like most other companies has. The way it is now is not practical, it is frustrating to manually switch from one device to another. I used to have the backbeat fit and although they were not earbuds, they had the ability to switch up to three devices( including tv) on soundcore . That was practical cause whenever I go for a walk I sometime forget to turn off the bluetooth on my ipad before listening to my iphone music and by the time I start walking and try to pair my earbuds i notice I forgot to turn it off. THAT IS FRUSTRATING. Please make the change as it will be useful to have.

*Almost* Perfect

I recently ordered the Q30 Headphones, and all the features in soundcore and on the headphones work great, but there’s just one specific problem with soundcore itself. I have an iPad Pro, but soundcore interface when launched has the same amount of pixels as a phone screen, meaning it didn’t scale up on my device. This also makes a few more things difficult, because the keyboard when used in soundcore don’t have my passwords or autofill in it, and since the keyboard is so small, it makes typing in my passwords and info a real challenge. Other than that, great performance overall, really impressed with how much came for the low price!

Great Product, one HUGE flaw

The Wakey is a great product. Fast charging, incredible sound, extra USBs...
There is one REALLY annoying issue with the this app app. The Superior Sleep function has 11 sounds playing at once. With slide bars you can turn the individual sounds louder and softer but with my iPhoneX/ios13.3, the sounds do NOT turn off completely! All 11 sounds are playing at once. There are annoying bugs and birds in the background that I don’t want to hear -but there is no way to turn them completely off. I have the “wind” and “fan” sounds turned up all the way, (white noise) but you can still hear the other 9 sounds behind them that have the bar all the way off. A VERY annoying issue but one that could be easily fixed in an update.

New update cost me my job

I have the this app wakey and I’ve been using it as an alarm for work. My alarms were all set but none went off and i lost my job. This only happened after the new update (around feb 15th). I was able to recreate it one more time so I know it’s soundcore ’s fault, so I deleted it and reinstalled it. Also soundcore now opens into the discovery music stuff instead of the actual settings for the wakey which I find crazy. The purpose of soundcore is too control the device so why make things harder

strange design, missing obvious features

soundcore is strange, and not in a “oh, that's fun!” sense. there are very few clear tap targets, and often things which are tappable look greyed out.

in using soundcore with a newly-purchased Wakey (which is a very impressive device) i find it's impossible to set an alarm which triggers the a connected phone to play a song or playlist, which is disappointing as it's even less functional than Apple's own alarms, which can at least play a single track as an alarm. at least i can keep using this with the Wakey, but i bought it hoping for more functionality than i could get from a regular Bluetooth speaker. maybe a future app update will add this feature?

it's also not very iOS-like. it feels more like a web page in an app wrapper to enable mobile use.

there's no EQ for the Wakey that i can find, though this isn't such a huge issue as the sound quality is generally excellent.

soundcore does the basics competently, if oddly, but it could use a redesign to make thing clearer and to help it feel like an iOS app.

Edit

**edit**
It works now! Thanks to the developers for quickly addressing the issue, the ability to change the lighting options and the equalizer are great functionalities that I greatly appreciate

I don’t know why my last review won’t show, but I’d genuinely like to know why soundcore isn’t working for me. It won’t even let me in, only takes me to a black screen and then boots me to my homepage. I love my speaker and would like to see the functionalities soundcore has, but I can’t do that if my concerns aren’t addressed...

Problema with Bluetooth

I bought an IPX7 portable speaker and most of the time I use it to listen to my music, sometimes my wife uses it and connects her phone to the speaker, but when I am using it and she is also at home my phone disconnects and the speaker it starts playing whatever she does on her phone like typing or talking on the phone, sometimes i just fast forward the song and my phone connects again with the speaker but after about 10 seconds it happens again, my phone disconnects and connects her's. I have other Bluetooth speakers and it doesn’t happen with any of them. Is there anything i can do to fix it?
I don’t want to get rid of it.

Horrid app

App literally doesn’t work. I connected my earbuds to my iPhone, they are great. soundcore on the other hand is literal garbage. I connect the device as it says, it says it can’t find it and won’t sync to it. I’ve pushed forget device, restarted my phone, done everything it says and it doesn’t work. It tells me to turn the headphones on then off which I do, then connect to Bluetooth which doesn’t happen when the device is off, so I turn it on and it says searching, then retry cause nothing happens. Please fix this issue because it’s extremely frustrating to spend 100 dollars on something for the customization of audio settings and it not even work

Flare 2 needs startup/shutdown sound option in app

I have the Flare 2 speaker. Awesome sound, love the lights, and EQ sound customizations (in soundcore ). But the speaker+app desperately need a way to either lower the startup and shutdown sounds volume, or disable them - the latter preferably. Seriously- it causes bad problems when listening late at night around other people. It is significantly louder than normal music or podcast listening and with tons that will wake the dead. For the sake of my relationship please create an in-app setting for this.

Great App just a couple snags in the latest update

Gotta say tho I’m pretty disappointed in the newest update:( it deleted all of my custom EQ settings for the Life Q30s and every time I try to recreate my settings, it boots out and resets to default every time and every time I attempt to create new EQ presets, it deletes previous made ones, furthermore every time I attempt to relabel my EQ settings, it boots out and deletes my labels. Hope this gets fixed in a later update as well as the ability to switch between light and dark mode

Declining

I’ve had my Wakey for a little over a year now. It’s worked for for the past year. Here recently I haven’t been able to play white noise through app without it being really staticky. Sometimes the speaker will cut itself off and back on and reenable Bluetooth while my phone is laying on the table without me using it. It also seems to go in and out like a bad Bluetooth connection. I’ve tried restarting, resetting, leaving it unplugged and I’ve contacted this app about it and they aren’t really being much help without me having the receipt for the device I bought over a year ago from Walmart. Can’t say I’ll be buying anymore this app products soon.

The best charger/clock/sound system you can get

My son bought the clock for me for my birthday. Greatest present ever. The sound is clear, full and it pairs with my phone so I can listen to my music. The clock /charging feature is amazing. I was going through charging cords every few months. Now I set my phone on top of the clock and it charges quickly. No drawbacks to this product. I love it and highly recommend it.

Soundcore flare 2

First off, soundcore is amazing and adds lots of features to the this app flare 2. Second, the this app flare 2 knocked my socks off. The quality is amazing both sound wise and build quality. The lights are vibrant and colorful, and the price is almost too good to be true. At the time I bought this speaker it was 50 bucks! It even outperformed my Bose sound link mini 2! Definitely an amazing product from Anker, and this app. Keep it up!

Great sound!

I’m a earbuds junkie so I have a pretty good collection of trials and errors to let the grandkids use 😉
I also have an appreciation for all my Apple products. Always wanted a pair of Apple buds but can’t wrap my head around the price.
With that said, I just got my this app (Life A2NC) for around 65 dollars. The sound is awesome. The custom fit is excellent and very comfortable.
For the price these are the earbuds you that will serve you best.

Great Software for Great Hardware

Very intuitive application that allows you to configure and customize your earbuds. I currently have the Libery Air 2 and loving them ever since I got them. I'm able to customize my audio settings the way unlike it and it's been great so far. If you have trouble they have the help which I ended up using to reach out to pair my earbuds again. Would recommend for anyone that owns any Anker/this app products!

App not connecting to flare+

Edited review: Changed to 4 stars from 1. I finally figured out to swipe left for more devices(needed flare+, not flare)after tapping flare series button. There needs to be an indicator to swipe right for more devices.

Original review:The this app app can't find the flare+ when connected on an iPhone SE(ios 12.4.1). Simply says an error occurred and I really would like to see the led options.

Flare+ works fine with my music app(sounds good too)..... so it's not a hardware problem. Buggy this app app.

Navigation & options limited

You definitely need app in order to sync two speakers. However soundcore seems limited in functionality like turning off the speakers. I just tried to turn off in app and music started playing. To be honest I’m confused how to turn off speakers from the devices. Good thing- Once I synced the two speakers it’s been consistent. Other than turning units on/off I’m pleased. Hope this helps!

Where has this beauty been all my life?

Simple, elegant and beautiful. Who knew an alarm clock could be so cool. Once you try it you’ll wonder why all alarm clocks are not this cool! Only downside, as others have said, brightness of display should be adjustable to a much lower setting. It can be a little distracting in your dark bedroom with it shining so brightly on your nightstand. Hopefully, a firmware update will address this issue.

Anker and Liberty Air 2 have changed the game!

Ok I’m not usually a review guy but felt compelled to respond to the haters and 1 star reviews....... soundcore is amazing with the compatibility and fixing the sync issues on the very first update of the Liberty Air 2, I was about to take them back but soundcore saved the day! Love the features and for only $90 you can’t beat the price point! Great stuff Anker, thanks!

Seems like a nice speaker, APP doesn’t work.

We got the Flare speaker as a surprise gift and it seems like a nice little speaker. I downloaded soundcore and connected the speaker and I was immediately asked to update firmware on my speaker. I did that and when everything started back up I cannot get soundcore to see the speaker. I can stream music to it from my phone, but soundcore doesn’t work at all.

UPDATE: After a recent app update (1.2.3), I still cannot get soundcore to connect with my speaker which easily connects to my iPhone and plats music. The fact that I can’t tune the sound or use any of soundcore features is beyond frustrating.

Sound-core

I love the speaker the sound-core. I bought 2 other speakers be 4 this one and I have found that this is the best speaker. so I recommend it to anyone looking for a loud speaker with a bass that is looking for one that doesn’t have a lot of space but wants a loud speaker. Also it’s really cool how you can control it from your phone with soundcore .

By

Solid app

Solid app no crashes yet and have had it on 2 phones so far. Like the EQ.
Really need the option to link more than 2 speakers together. Other brands are ahead of these guys in that aspect. I have the
FLARE +’s and the regular FLARE. 2 a piece. The pluses sound great. Can compete w anybody in the market. But would be phenomenal if they came out w an update to allow more than 2 speakers to be linked together at once. I’d give 5 stars if u could

Nice app. Needs improvement.

I like the speaker (this app Flare), and soundcore works fairly well in controlling it. Would *really* like to see improvement with the equalizer - right now, the default choices are very basic, and the customizable settings are not useful in fine tuning the sound. Also, PLEASE!, add a setting to allow us to disable the goofy sound effects for powering on/off and connecting - they make the speaker sound like a child’s toy. Thanks for listening!

Awesome, but needs a few tweaks / updates

For Flare devices
- Firmware updates not going through: shows as “installing” then “restarting”. But reverts to / stays at the old firmware version. Then tells me that there’s an update again.. A few times already offering a new update with the same new version #, but different files size.. weird..
- Display battery level in % as well as the battery bar
- Allow further color customization for the LED ring. For example using it as a night light. Let us choose a specific solid color and brightness.
- Implement separate shut-off timers. One for music, one for the light ring and one for both together.

Looking forward to future updates!

Winner

Got this for free so I can’t complain, but would I pick this over UE Boom and Dre beats!? Yes, the quality is better and ima leave the research to you guys. Just do a comparison and don’t forget to not just see what’s good or better with quality and parts and the price is a killer. Had to do my research after I got a taste of this rave speaker!!!!

It works but tedious

soundcore works fine for me.

What I wish would be fixed is having to scroll to find your product every time you open soundcore .

For example, I have the Wakey which is the second to last device that appears when you launch soundcore .

In order to me to set my alarm or basically do anything, I need to connect to Bluetooth, open soundcore , scroll all the way to my device, wait for it to sync, then I can make changes. That's so tedious to have to wait and do all that just to adjust an alarm.

I wish I could pin my device as soon as I open soundcore or have it automatically recognize my phone.

Wooooooooohooooooooooooo

Finally Custom EQ & soft-updates based on more cross-product applications are available!! I’m in the US and we are partying!!! Please, give us more updates & features like lighting animation or boot tone, we will buy more if you do, THANK U ANKER / this app!! Big Pride¡¡¡!!!

Great App but...

I’ve always loved Anker, for the past couple years they have been the only company I order my phone accessories from. So far I’m loving my Flare+ and I love the lights on it, but I would like to be able to customize the lights and change the settings for M-Sync. The presets are great but M-Sync isn’t exactly what I’m looking for.
