I’m writing this review because in all the newness of buying a car and trying to figure out how the car works and the new app ELO GPS, l agreed to sing up. Well it’s a lame app from the standpoint of keeping tabs on your car. IE as an alert to notify me of movement or a (geo fence) in the event someone was stealing the car. But I have an iPhone and know one at EloGPS co. can help me with no audible alerts. They keep telling me that it’s working fine. Not true, it does send an alert but l only can see the actual text (only) alert when l turn on the phone and open EloGPS . What good is that? If they steal my car at 10:00 pm after l go to sleep, then l wake up at 5:00 am, The car thieves have gotten a huge jump on law enforcement, me etc. so it’s useless as a form of protection for early warning. And the police won’t have a chance at catching the bad guys or recovering the vehicle. That’s my humble opinion. Plus l will say this too, it’s typical of companies today that, they have no interest in hearing my problem and maybe fixing the (bug) so it could work better? Good luck with that.

I’ve had this for a year and a half, the first year it worked completed fine. However all of a sudden it no longer track the car it still shows my car has not moved in days which is untrue because of work and having to take my child to and from school each day.
Also want to note the map is not accurate as in its two or so years behind. I only know because I stay in a new development and most buildings have been built late 2019 early 2020 do not appear on the map.

It’s a gps that updates the location once every few hours. So if you need to know where your car is right now, it might take a few hours for it to update. There is also no manual way to update location. You’d think it would just constantly have the current location but it doesn’t. Was forced to get this with my new car, as it was “already attached and they would have to spend more money to remove it”.

I’ve had EloGPS for about nine months now it was amazing it notified me every time there was a movement in my car it notified how fast I was going and the precise location but now it’s not working idk if it’s a bug or what but my location of the car on EloGPS is not correct it’s saying the location of my car is on a highway and it hasn’t had any movement or updates in 10 hours I tried logging out and logging back in but it’s still saying the same thing.

Worthless app. Location it shows is not the least bit accurate. Off by at least 1 mile. Does not show movement. If vehicle gets stolen, you’re screwed. I will ever be located. Kudos to the developer - you pulled off one of the largest screw jobs. If they were an ethical company they would do the right thing and fix the product. Absolutely worthless. Majority of reviews here indicate same issue. Maybe a class action lawsuit on the worthless product is needed.

Unfortunately HAD to get this when getting a new car, I saw it in the total and told them I didn’t want it but they kept insisting that it comes with the car and cannot take it off. So I let it be but turns out it comes with the car but you are paying for the activation!!! Wish they explained that better and wish I got to see the reviews before too. Has good intentions but too many LATE notifications!!! I’ll occasionally run my errands in the day then be home by 6pm to wake up to a notification at 10pm or later that my car has triggered a movement alert!! Only to find it’s still outside my house or that if it shows it’s currently on the move that it’s from an old route I used earlier in the day. So frustrating and wasn’t worth the cost

When I first got my car in 2021, ELO worked just fine and it was a useful tool. I have renewed my subscription every year since. I renewed my subscription a few weeks ago and EloGPS won’t show my car’s correct location. It’ll show a location point from days prior and refuse to update. I contacted support, and the tracking worked for exactly one day and now is back to not working. The subscription simply isn’t worth it anymore.

Looking for my kid & Vehicle shows to be in my driveway when clearly that is not the case. I can see through iPhone location that they’re miles from my driveway!! EloGPS also shows no event in the last couple of days & this is also inaccurate. On top of all that; as I noticed the issue @ 1:00am as frantically attempting to locate kiddo & looking at EloGPS a bit further I notice that this is only a 3 year subscription though we were told that it was a “life time membership” as long as we owned the vehicle.

This system isn’t worth the money, time & headaches...

The ELO App notifies me commonly 30 minutes or more after the vehicle has been moved. I am 2 years in to having EloGPS and if bugs are not corrected and the whole point of having immediate notifications of my Skat Pack moving was the main reason of purchase, may as well cancel the service. Just like everything nowadays, once they get your money, they don’t give a crap about the service! If not corrected VERY soon, I will drop the service and request all Monies remaining for the service, since breach of contract is very blatantly observed.

We bought a new 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe and we’re forced into getting the ELO GPS. They said all of their cards came with it. It was a big pill to swallow but what made it easier was when they said you would get a discount on your car insurance. Well that was a big fat lie! Mercury doesn’t give a discount and I know why…. EloGPS has no clue where my car is. I am at work and it still shows at home. I reset and reset EloGPS and it still shows it is at home or vice virus. All of the other reviews are spot on when they say it is very inaccurate. I see this company going belly up!!!!

I purchased a new vehicle in December 2020 and downloaded EloGPS. I have now received three notifications that the voltage readings on my car were below normal. I had called the dealer after the first two and they indicated EloGPS may not be so reliable from a diagnostic perspective. They suggested I bring the vehicle over to check it out. I decided to wait and see if I received any more. Yup, got one yesterday when I happened to be just two blocks away from the dealer. They checked it out, found nothing wrong. So, I have little trust in this aspect of EloGPS .

I would appreciate an explanation of this matter from the developers of EloGPS . I have never, ever written a review on any app but I find this one very questionable. Thank you!

Bought a Toyota new in 23, the battery has died because it’s rarely driven. EloGPS never gave a warning. The last time the battery died, EloGPS gave a notification after the jump start. EloGPS isn’t giving current updates. It says last report two days ago. Hard to tell the status of the battery and the location of the car itself.

Great but now it’s like it won’t load from the open screen I’ve only had it since December but I have to delete EloGPS and keep reinstalling it. Not ok idc how much it cost it shouldn’t be doing that also it’s a bit off on time vehicle leaves destination. I don’t know what kind of upgrade you did but now it’s not tracking would love to give five stars after problems r fixed

EloGPS glitches almost every few days and I am left without being able to track my car in real time. If I payed for a service, why am I not able to enjoy all its features without reaching out to customer service to “reset”. The real-time gps tracker needs to be fixed.

While I was excited about the features when I bought it.. it’s far exceeded my expectations. I always know where my car is, never worry where I parked it. Love knowing my daughter has enough gas being she is so forgetful. I won’t buy another car without it!

I have this unit installed on my truck. My son drives it every once in a while so the geo fence, GPS, and speed alerts are fantastic for a parent.

Check engine light triggered last week and it was good to know what was going on before it went to the shop. Added piece of mind and happy to report the shop didn’t take advantage of the situation.

Great app interface, very easy to use.

I can’t say enough great things about EloGPS. Not only do I have it on my car but the dealership was able to sell us three additional devices for my wife’s car and for my children's car as well. We received an insurance discount, I can see everything that’s going on in my car, schedule maintenance, and have the peace of mind that my car and family are safe. Works better than described! Super happy!!!

Have nothing but good things to say about Elo. I’m on the road a lot for work and love knowing where all of my vehicles are at especially with wife and teen drivers at home. Mileage tracking, speed alerts, geo fencing, battery monitoring, location as well as well as theft recovery all in one.

Glad I have this. I get alerts when my kid arrives and leaves school. I can make Seevice appointments on EloGPS and they will help me find my car in case it’s stolen. Oh and the best part was the insurance discount I received for having the technology installed.

I love EloGPS, I have found a number of things to use it for, does exactly what I expected, great for high risk drivers, logging business miles and just in general piece of mind. Love that I have the ability to have this on my car as an option, Great Value!
