Best Meal Plan App

MacroMealPlannerWorkouts is exactly what I’ve been looking for for a long time. I have tried just about every other app out there and this one does it all. It does take some clicking around to figure out how to create a recipe that you can add to your plan that will consider the macros to adjust the rest of the meals according to that (for example, if you wanted to add like a daily protein shake). But I chose easy meals because I don’t have that much time to cook and I don’t mind eating the same things over and over. And the meals I got actually were easy (just a few quick ingredients) and I get to control how often I eat the same meals, all while staying low carb and within my macros. It’s genius! I’m obsessed. And it was worth the money I paid to have full access. I’ve already lost 5 lbs in one week and it felt effortless.

I use MacroMealPlannerWorkouts for the meal plan and it has seriously changed my health journey. I can’t cook to save my life and recipes without macro information were always a pain to calculate. I just don’t have the time. MacroMealPlannerWorkouts does everything for me in one place: makes sure I’m hitting my macros, tracks them, I can decide how diverse I want my meals, how much I can spend, and any dietary restrictions. I LOVE MacroMealPlannerWorkouts. My only issue is when it comes to meal options.

I feel I get the same options all the time. It also seems like if you say you have no restrictions, the system will never offer vegan, paleo, keto or vegetarian meal options when you’re trying to swap. Even though I eat meat, I like tofu and would like to have that option as a snack, but it never pops up and there is no way to search for an item when seeking to swap for another. I also think it’s too difficult to put in a recipe. I still haven’t even fully figured that out.

I have a cookbook with the macros for each recipes. Why can I not just plug in the recipe and macros? It requires you to put every single ingredient in the system, so it can calculate it. A bit too much work when I already have the macros right in front of me.

Amazing Customer Responsiveness

I’ve never written an app review before, but this merited one. In general, MacroMealPlannerWorkouts is great, I use it to track all my macros etc etc; you can tell it’s definitely rough around the edges with regards to UX in a few places, but nothing too awful.

One day, I decided to shoot over some feedback on some places where I could see improvements in MacroMealPlannerWorkouts to make it more user friendly. Not only did I get a warm thank you from the team, some of the changes were implemented within 48 hours—talk about agile development.

Super thankful for not only a super helpful app, but a great team that responds to its users.

Decent, could be improved

I really like the meal plan and workout plan all rolled into one. I also really like the quick video reference for most of the workouts. However, I wish MacroMealPlannerWorkouts was smarter at swapping workouts. For instance, if my workout plan has machine hamstring curls but all I have at home are some dumbbells, I need to swap it out, so I wish MacroMealPlannerWorkouts would suggest a similar style workout (hamstring) that I could do with my dumbbells. Right now it seems to be very rudimentary, it will just show me a long list of leg exercises that work any part of the leg using any method. I just wish there was an option to limit the list to muscle group and workout situation e.g. working out at home with dumbbells vs at a gym with machines. It’s a decent start but MacroMealPlannerWorkouts needs work.

Tailored to my needs!

MacroMealPlannerWorkouts is great! Your asked what type of training your seeking, whether that be weight loss, muscle building, etc. and if gives you a couple workouts to pick that range from quick time saving workouts to ones that take a bit longer. You can also input your grocery budget and any dietary restrictions you may have. From that information, each day you will be given ideas for specific meals you should have. I love not having to research that stuff on my own! A huge plus! I definitely recommend MacroMealPlannerWorkouts!

great app

MacroMealPlannerWorkouts is great for its simplicity. The only thing that would make it better is Apple Health sync for people that use it. There are already great meal/calorie and weight tackers that interface with it so it could pull alnd put workout data (times, cals burned, etc. ) out letting MacroMealPlannerWorkouts focus on just being a workout log/tracker. In addition, I can schedule my work outs to cover all major muscle groups. PLUS cardio. Hands down: MacroMealPlannerWorkouts may very well help me to reduce my weight to 140 lbs. I'm very motivated and excited for the future as I apply all my resources to my fitness goals.

Vegan meal plan inedible

I wanted to love MacroMealPlannerWorkouts. I literally purchased because there was a vegan option but I can promise you either the creator doesn't have taste buds or no one tried any of the vegan meals. I've had to wing it with the left over groceries from a weeks worth of meals for two. ALL of the meals I've tried weren't even slightly palatable. No kidding, we threw away every batch we made up after tasting it. After the fourth fail, we gave up and are piecing together meals to help us lose weight.

The workouts were decent (and that's why there's an extra star) but spend your $60 elsewhere because I promise you will waste your monies if you think you've found a vegan meal plan that works.

Does the hard work for you

I finally found an app that can generally help me with my lifestyle goals! In the past I’d usually have to research the best work outs and meal plans for my body type, but now MacroMealPlannerWorkouts does all the heavy lifting for me. I always wondered a to transition into a keto diet, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out MacroMealPlannerWorkouts gives you a variety of keto meal options for the whole week. I’ll try it out for 30 days and come back to update with my results.

Amazing App; Better Customer Service!

Just get MacroMealPlannerWorkouts to see what it actually contains, and trust me, you will feel the same. It has your meal plan, workout plan, groceries so you can successfully complete your meal plan depending upon your budget and type of diet.

Customer service is better than MacroMealPlannerWorkouts, I was in contact with them and they were kind, patient and apologetic, even though they weren’t at fault. Made me feel good!

Bad Recipes, Bizarre Portions, Broken Search

I got this primarily for the meal planner, and while the concept is solid the execution is terrible.

In order to meet macros, MacroMealPlannerWorkouts will create absolutely bizarre portion sizes and meal combinations. If you go to look for a replacement item because you don’t want .5 portions of tuna pickle boats and 3 cups of milk for breakfast, the replacement search often won’t bring up what you’re looking for at all, regardless of how you tweak the settings. I’ve literally had to backtrack to old meals just to find a banana.

The recipes don’t appear to have been tested either. Nothing is great. Some are okay. Some of them are truly awful.

Good health app

I was hesitant to sign up for the pro version but I’ve actually been losing weight since I started using the meal plan feature so I think its worth it. Calorie counting never really worked for me because it can be so tedious but I think this is a good middle ground because I can still track the few things I eat off plan but everything else is basically planned out and done for me.

Great app, needs little improvement!

First of all, MacroMealPlannerWorkouts is super. After having tried many meal plan apps, I get along with this one best. I think the GUI isn’t as smooth as it could be, but definitely very usable and easy. I would love to have more pre-entered plant based meals, but I’m glad the function to add own meals exists.
What I’m really missing is adding my owns things to the grocery list!!

The workout plan seems great, but I haven’t tried it much yet. Might update, when I have.

In today’s fast paced society and the need for a quick and easy to use workout platform, Strongr Fastr does just that! The signup process was quick and still had the necessary questions that make you feel you’re goals are correctly identified. It’s intuitive and simple to use, not overly packed with nonsense. I recommend to anyone who needs a solid support system in an app!

Detailed App to plan fitness, diet, and budget

I haven’t tried a lot of these fitness apps, but find this one very cool as it combines exercises, diet, and meal budget. I’m on a tight budget at the moment and it’s great to have meal suggestions that fit my goals and reminders through the phone and tracking. It is very detailed and allows the user to deeply customize it or just use for simple fitness goals. I recommend.

Good program

I really like the program and the variety of foods. I’d say if they could give you the option to fix errors in the food information and to edit incorrect/different information in the recipes, it would be 5 star. As it is it’s not the most accurate it could be because it doesn’t give you those options.

A Great Lifestyle Tool

I really liked MacroMealPlannerWorkouts. The signup process was easy. I don’t have a car, so I walk. I don’t really need to stay in the gym. However I do need to tone up. I recently lost weight. I sometimes struggle with my nutritional intake with or without supplements. MacroMealPlannerWorkouts has a great page for the user which includes exercise, meals, and goals. This is a good tool to help dieters stay on track.

Very comprehensive

The creators of this application must put a lot of work into it. This is what I call a live app. They probably monitor and update it daily. Fits very nicely into a busy schedule and takes the worry out of planning but most importantly a lot of knowledge I don’t have about health and fitness is incorporated into it. If you follow it the way it is intended you will reap its benefits.

I took this App for granted

So I paid for MacroMealPlannerWorkouts because it the best out. I have t been able to find anything better. Truly customizable Meal plan and training. The only thing I would change is the workout timer and smoother transition to max exercises. Love it worth it.

Great idea. Needs work.

I love the concept, but it seems no matter what macros I calculate, it gives me a Keto diet low on carbs. Low carb diets are not optimal for bodybuilding. Also Keto diets can cause kidney stone, increase heart disease risks and a host of other things. They should really work on making the macros you set for the diet, which in my case was 40 carb, 40 protein and 20 fat. Instead it comes out 50 percent less in carbs than I wanted. Frustrating.

BEST APP EVER

first of all I'd like to say there's not any other app like this I've seen for free with so much level of comprehension and detail. It lets you choose based on your diet, age, height, gender, weight, type of lifestyle you have, how much you want to work out, your free time, etc... it really feels like having a personal trainer for free!!
