You have to create a user account to be able to use Bitcoin , which is perfectly fine, but Bitcoin won't even allow you to get past the sign-up/log-in screen.

Upon opening Bitcoin (the first time after installing), I’m presented with the option to login, sign up, or skip. Choosing skip does nothing. So I go to sign up, I put in a username and password, with my email address, and it says registration unsuccessful. Tried using different usernames in case they were taken, and different passwords in case they didn’t meet whatever unspecified parameters Bitcoin requires, but I get the same result every time.
Then I try closing Bitcoin and reopening it, you know, just in case that fixes it. I now open up to a completely white screen with an ad down at the bottom. Nothing on the screen to click, and waiting doesn’t make anything load. This is the same every time I open Bitcoin from now on.
I don’t know if the problem is with my phone or Bitcoin , but I’m inclined to believe it is the latter.

Bitcoin doesn’t work. You get to the sign-up page & enter your credentials, only to be told “Registration Unsuccessful!”. No feedback on why it was unsuccessful (username taken, password must have a minimum character limit, etc). You are just left staring at a the sign-up page. I’ve already deleted Bitcoin from my phone. Bitcoin gets 1 star...only because I’m not allowed to give them 0. Thank you for wasting my time.
