Waiter: Less dating, more love Reviews

Waiter is a good concept and theoretically an alternative to the pseudo-monopoly of Match Group (Tinder, Hinge, many others) and Bumble (public company…bad idea to mix shareholders and profits that closely with something as personal as dating and relationships) but unfortunately is very misleading. I live in a rural area and the amount of beautiful women Waiter showed in my area was not even close to believable (as much as I wish it were). The profiles are clearly from all over the world and I’m sure many of them are fake / recycled / inactive. I had 2 matches over a month, one of which was believable, and no return messages. I find it unethical for companies to mislead users like this, especially paying customers. Fortunately I was issued an App Store refund. For folks that don’t pick up on the deception, think of the mental health and self-doubt issues this could cause thinking they’re not desirable as a date. Remember - consumers are in control with our time and money - spend it elsewhere.

I really like the idea of Waiter - patience is a virtue that allows you to make sound choices. That being said, there are 3 potential matches curated for you each day. You choose one for free, but only from that specific day’s matches. It would make more sense to be able to forgo new matches to pick someone you missed before instead of needing to purchase “tips.” This process seems the most reasonable if the algorithm is really picking suitable matches, and the goal is for matchmaking NOT profit. A lot of profiles look very fake, which makes the experience less enjoyable. Overall, not a satisfying social experience. I will likely delete and use something else.

Waiter offers an interface that is completely navegable and provided with excellent grammar, which is always a good sign of trustworthiness. I’m loving it so far. I haven’t had any matches though, after 4 days of using it. I’m yet to see if this works out for me, but so far everything seems alright.

I like it. Only gives you 3 options every few hours which is different than most of the other apps but I feel that it gives you better odds to match with someone

At least on tinder or bumble you get matches once or twice a day, but with Waiter, it’s been over a year now and not a single match! 😀
They give you 3 options to choose every day, and you naturally choose the prettiest, youngest best looking one! 😀 and the women do the same, that’s why no-one ever gets matched with anyone. Waiter is not a scam as long as you don’t pay! But it’s a huge waste of time! Don’t waste your time or your hard earned money on Waiter!

Finally! A dating app that asks you an extensive amount of questions on your interests in topics of hobbies, sports, and music and asks you to select from preprogrammed options - and then proceeds to do absolutely nothing with the data you’ve given them. The potential matches that you get have absolutely nothing to do with how you’ve answered said questions. So essentially, it’s an app...like all the rest...except with a few hundred thousand less users. Good luck competing out there...people who made Waiter.

I think Waiter has a good concept, but I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. I’ve never heard of anyone getting a match on here, it asks for money to send messages and access other features, plus there is nothing about it online that I can find. I live in rural Ohio. There’s no way there’s a bunch of profiles of women in my area on such an obscure app. Yet according to the profiles, they live near me. Not even on Bumble and Tinder are there that many women on apps in my area. And they’re all super attractive. Very suspicious.

I haven’t matched yet but I’m optimistic about finding somone on here it seems more genuine then other dating apps and I’m on three others. I do wish however I didn’t have to wait 24hour to try and match again

Literally won’t even let me complete the very initial process of setting up an account. I can click Male then seeking Female then on the very 3rd page that literally only asks two ridiculously simple pieces of information, name and birthdate, no matter what I enter in the first name section it always pops up saying that my name must contain at least two characters, even after endless different attempts and deletions and resets and etc. Deleted permanently.✌🏼

Don’t waste your time or money. I made an account and after a few days I had two likes. Being fairly impatient and very excited I bought some tips, well the other day I went to login and for some reason my profile was gone and I had to make a new one. And of course the tips I paid my money for were gone too. It’s just another dumb dating app that is more frustrating than it is fun, not worth it.

I want to like it but you can’t even fully use unless you purchase tips. If someone you didn’t choose chooses you. You have to use tips just to go back and see who it is which cost money. So in my opinion it’s not worth it at all. Just another app/scam to get your money. I do not recommend at all.

Tbh it’s more of a 3.5 out of 5 but for a 5 star it gives u a reward so eh. Good and doesn’t look like any bots but only gives you 1 search per 24 hours, definitely a slow and steady

Haven’t matched yet, but so far everyone they’ve shown me has been pretty spot on as far as showing people that I like. hopefully it works out 🤷🏽‍♀️

I live in a TINY village and Waiter has sooo many attractive people in the SAME little town... Really guys? I’m a veteran dating app user, have tried most of them, even the expensive ones... so I know what to expect from the search results! I can tell how fake Waiter is, and that the profiles you are showing me clearly AREN’T real. You don’t even need to write a word about yourself, LOL. What a joke! Don’t spend any dime here!!!

Waiter is terrible. I used it and thought it was ok because of the how easy it was and the way it picked the singles near me, but i made a purchase through it and a day later, it deleted my profile and my purchase and made recreate a profile. It’s very unreliable and no contact from technical support when you have issues. Do not download. Terrible. Horrible. 0 stars if I could

You get three choices and then you get to wait. I like it way better

I paid for a subscription like an idiot and I’ve still never had but one match, and no message was ever answered. Since then I’ve been using Waiter and nothing happens, it just doesn’t work and I wasted my money. Save yourself the pain and just use hinge or something that’ll actually get you in contact with people.

Waiter currently has a bug that will remove some of your information if you try to update it and it won’t give you an option to put it back. Considering you get one free shot at other profiles, this bug needs to be fixed quickly. Waiter is an interesting idea but so far I’m not impressed

I got this dating app to try something new and paid to find out who matched me. Unfortunately after I paid and message the individual Waiter no longer works. Waiter keeps asking me to sign in with Facebook and I do and all it does is say connecting and never connects

This is just another one of those pay block dating apps. It will randomly tell you people match with you, but ut-oh! You gotta pay us $20 if you wanna get the tips to unlock their profile derp derp.
