4.7 out of 5
rigged auctions

I have tried to get into these auctions for many years. I have looked at the pieces that are auctioned with very low grades and they pay thousands of dollars. What nonsense the people who buy in this place are. I have presented coins and medals with high grades but since everything is manipulated by themselves to fill their pockets, how ridiculous. They should visit the best place for auctions where they do not discriminate against you, eBay. What I am writing is pure reality, a large organization of thieves. Look, they auction a piece with a grade of MS67 and I send them a piece with a grade of MS69 and they do not want it. Look at it and tell me after many years who will buy from you what you pay today. If somewhere else there are pieces with a higher grade, you will have to sell cheap or give it away. What nonsense, it is time for someone to say enough is enough. All these companies like Hibid, Heritage Auction, and Strack Bowers are organizations that fill their pockets with your clumsiness. I hope this helps them and they say enough is enough!!!

Extremely slow shipping.

They take 7-14 days to ship by their own admission, but I read much longer for many. They do not tell you that though until after you win an auction. If you contact them it says it can take two weeks to even get a reply. I wonder if this operation is really just a couple guys working out of a garage. This is way too slow. I complained about it and was told if I send them $30 more, I can get it sent out quicker. That felt like extortion. I won’t buy from them again. I hope I get my item someday…

Still not quite there

Improvement over the “website as app” effort years ago, but not quite useful as a stand alone. Searching by narrowing to a specific denomination and other characteristics doesn’t work well at all (kicks you back to all coin listings).

At best, likely works well if you do all your homework first on your computer, then go to your account on HeritageAuctions . I would have preferred HeritageAuctions be useful by itself. Currently, it is not. I’ll delete it soon and maybe try again if I hear about improved search/sort functions.

Good in Many Ways - Hugely Lacking in Others

The functions in HeritageAuctions are great. How HeritageAuctions functions on an iPhone vs a desktop/laptop is lacking. For example, just trying to scroll through lots in an auction the list gets stuck on one item & won’t scroll through to the rest of the lots. Second, when adding filters in a search you can make all of the filter adjustments in one screen. It keeps on reverting back to all of the filter categories. So if I want to look at baseballs in an auction after looking at bats, I have to uncheck bats , revert to the previous screen, go back in, and then check balls. You should be able to check-uncheck in the same screen.

The app has a lot of features, but one very big issue

When you open the form for live auctions, you are presented with a "acknowledge these conditions" statement. That's fairly standard. What is poorly done is that the button to acknowledge the conditions falls directly over the "bid" button. So if you accidentally hit the acknowledge button twice with your finger, you have just bid on the current item. I can't understand how this got past testing.

Functional but not fun or easy

HeritageAuctions is not intuitive and is at times frustrating. For instance, in trying to upload pictures for appraisal, HeritageAuctions said ONE file was over 4MB and the upload could not be completed. This was not the issue. It was that the sum total of all files was over 4MB. I had to figure that out for myself, and after that everything went smoothly.

Recent update messed up a great app

The recent update made HeritageAuctions less responsive and harder to view. For example, when you expand a lot’s image, the zoom is messed up and it’s hard to switch do a different image. Another issue is is looking at the grading and pricing guide tab doesn’t let you switch between the two tabs anymore.

HeritageAuctions was *fantastic* before! The update caused more negatives than positives.

Mostly user friendly

HeritageAuctions is well organized and easy to use. The only two thing I would change are adding a swipe to remove items from your watchlist, and easier navigation for long auctions. If you get sent back to the beginning, it takes forever to find your place.
Other than that, it is great.

Great App for a Awesome Auction House

I have found that most apps that you come across in the fine art world are afterthoughts created for marketing reasons. Heritage took their app seriously, as it’s not just the mobile version of their website running on iOS and iPadOS. This glowing review is well deserved as, ultimately, it’s just nice that it works great!

A Great Resource !

Whether or not you are buying or selling this is a great resource for Comics Coins Stamps and Antiques . Very impressed with its detailed overview of the items and the archives are a great way to gauge the value of your well kept items .

Their customer service staff is surprisingly informative and helpful with a level of professionalism expected from an auction house .

Customer service

I don’t know about HeritageAuctions but I had to call to fix something with my account and card info and the customer service is 10/10. Real people almost every step of the way. I had an automated message maybe one time

This is the Standard for Online Auctions

I will keep it brief, Heritage has a well-oiled online auction machine. The resourcefulness of their past auction pricing has made many private purchases a breeze. Because of this, they have garnered my respect and also my business. Shipping is professional and worry-free.

First Class

Although I’m relatively new to using Heritage I can still say they’re a step above. They provided you with so much information and knowledge. Every encounter is smooth and effortless and handled with first class service . So I’m very excited and looking forward to being a part of Heritage, now, as well as in the future!

User Friendly

I love HeritageAuctions! It’s user friendly, so many useful options, I love that they let you see all past auction prices, and current bidding so I can gauge trends. The only thing I would change is the turnaround time for submitting some thing to auction. Two weeks is a bit excessive. In my opinion it shouldn’t be no more than a week turnaround. Thank you for creating such a wonderful app.

Heritage Auctions

I have several European oil paintings that I am thinking of selling and some other artwork. This site has given me great insight into the prices I might attain for these pieces. It is great fun to scroll through the works of the same artists that I have and see what types of prices Heritage has been getting for these works at their auctions

Auctions help put people in business

Without a auction you would have to rent or
Buy space to sell your items. Doing a business can be done in a cost effective way, meaning renting a storage is cheaper then renting a building or buying one.

Heritage Auction Website

Your website is extremely easy to use and full of information on every coin down to the weight.
I’m very green to all this and don’t know what I’d do without this essential tool.
Thank you, for making this available.

Great platform

Heritage is setting the standard for numismatic auctions. They have so much information for each auction. The bidding can be a little intimidating at first but once you get the just of it, it’s extremely easy.

Heritage rocks

What an age we live in! When i can download things called Apps and bid or sell Collectors items on my PHONE! OMG great app wish i had found it sooner. Has weight and the percentage of material used to create the objects i adore. Coins!!

Informative!!

While still learning, I’ve been able to reference within to compare my coins & decipher from good finds to not so sought after.
