Had to use this for an art group and still can’t figure it out. User flow: follow this app link in browser, very hard to read, try to open it in app, app says “nothing in your feed” - paste link in every possible search or link area - still can’t find it. Go back and log in with browser to see if I can save it for later, same experience. Have no idea how to find or retrieve or follow content. Also didnt understand all the nested levels of groups /folders I had to create to save anything.

Worse than Facebook and Instagram. It has tons of bots that steal your content and the site itself has their own bots that replicate your content and insert unlabeled ads to it. Unlike Instagram, there is no DMCA take down support. They side with the ad agencies and one of the founders also now runs an ad agency. To add insult to injury, their brilliant design includes ‘erroneously’ charging me for an entire year when I signed up for monthly and then magically reinstating reoccurring monthly payments even after I cancelled. The founder took the time to personally decline to refund me and refuse to turn off reoccurring payments so I had to go through my bank.

I’ve gotta say, I’m quite disappointed with the experience on iPad. It doesn’t support the nice-to-haves (split screen, slide over, drag and drop) nor the bare minimums, like landscape orientation. Arena lacks fit and finish everywhere. For example, long pressing a block opens a pseudo-context menu without animation and covers the whole screen. It makes sense on a phone, but feels wasteful on a tablet. I really hope the iPad version gets some love, it’s really a shame about an otherwise great service.

Love Arena, gives me a vibe i’ve been looking for since 2012 tumblr days... I wanted to say tho, i’m sure y’all are aware but Arena on ios gets very very laggy out of nowhere almost to the point it’s unusable. also sometimes search results will not come in. i’m hoping Arena is still being developed. is there any group chat or discord woth updates of Arena? thanks! Once the lag issue gets fixed i’ll deff make it 5 stars!

Love Arena, probably my second most used app. Could be more user friendly, finding people and new channels could be a lot easier and it tends to crash often. Very often. Annoyingly often. It’s tough trying to find my way back to a channel I really liked b/c Arena crashed before I finished scrolling through it or had a chance to follow.

As a web this app user I have to say Arena is incredibly buggy and slow. Is it basically a web view? It is so buggy it makes me think you have only an intern developer doing his job part time. Refresh app? Crash! Clear cache? Screen turns blank, clears everything, and logs me out! All these little annoying things. Why is it loading every image every time? Isn’t there cache?

After the most recent update I can’t figure out how to sort by “no. of connections” after searching a particular topic

When uploading a content block I am unable to go back to my home page when the upload is finished, please fix

Honestly my favorite social media right now. Zero ads. Pure creativity. The board explore page is pure chance for you to stumble across something amazing. All visual creatives need Arena.

Excellent platform. Arena can be a bit crash-y and is missing some features that the desktop site has (sorting by random, for example) but it’s a work in progress and I have faith that we’ll get there :) thanks for everything arenafolk!

I wish I could download it more than once

Dispute some minor lagging and the interface issues (understandable since the company is small), I really enjoy Arena. I found something that isn’t actively trying to get me to buy something, and promotes an actual creative experience that’s user driven, and not super algorithmic. Feels like old tumblr. Highly rec.

Arena is everything you want and nothing you don’t. It’s a clean feed—curated by you, not an algorithm. No ads. Very minimal bots. It’s human to the core, lightning fast, and the quality of the median piece of content is so high it’s unbelievable. I’ve met so many cool people on here. It’s a window into what the web should’ve been.

Please look at adding password manager support for 1Password to make login access easier.

Please add a dark mode where the white space can be swapped out with dark space (including an inverse’s app icon). It would play well on Macs/iPhones and is easier on the eyes - especially for those of us that edit video.

Consider playing with the premium model to reallocate $1 a month to letting premium users fund micro transactions for the free content they view. It would copy Mediums model in a smaller scale and encourage growth by rewarding well thought out posts with small payments/app credits. Make it a block chain crypto currency if you really want to go down the rabbit hole of becoming a content platform.

Promise us you’ll never sell out go Facebook or Google!

Not sure why Arena is trying to pass bad design as stylish. The UX really needs improvement, esp the login page. There's no place that addresses "forgot email or password". I've made multiple accounts just because going thru that recovery process is so troublesome, and making another account is already so so troublesome. Then there was an issue where it said to verify my email but when i tried, it said there was an error and to contact the support team. From what I remember, there's some interesting content but wow the entry point is really pulling Arena into the dirt. Also, the navigation was not super clear and it's confusing how one should go about using Arena, even with the tutorial in the beginning. Seriously consider investing in building out a better system because it's truly not working.
