I liked Shortly . I went to open Shortly and found that now, in order to use it, they want to measure how fast you read. It’s not an option. Who will you be selling that information to? How will people be judge? Are slower readers less intelligent? I will not be the only one this rubs the wrong way.

Is there a way to find a previously read story? I’m looking for the one about the astronaut who supposedly was coming home but then the real astronaut starts speaking over an old ham radio warning that the thing on the ship was not him.

Man, I really love Shortly. I'm always looking everywhere for short stories since I love how they allow you to imagine and are quick and fun. Then, low and behold, as if an answer to my prayers: this app shows up. I love how you can choose the reading time each story takes, and I love how creative each prompt or idea is. Each new story has a refreshing take I never would've thought of on my own. I love this, and I hope it becomes VERY popular soon.

ONE THING, THOUGH: How come any time I tap anywhere outside of the text, it automatically closes the story? I've read at LEAST 15 stories so far where it closed in the middle of it and I never got to read the ending with no chance of finding it again.

Shortly is phenomenal. You don't have to pay money to get more stories or to finish a story! It's a great app for when you're on road trips or you just want something to read in the house to pass time. What would make Shortly even better is if it had a 10 minute or 30 minute stories, you know, if you have absolutely nothing to do.

Shortly is so fun! I use it to be creative and write short stories, and it’s so fun. The community is small but amazing, and all of the stories are incredible. The writers are super talented and I can’t believe I found Shortly. I didn’t know something this perfect existed! Over all this is a VERY nice app! I like that it gets to the point, and that there are basically an infinite amount of stories. The only thing I would add would be a way to change the color and brightness of the background and the text.

I would definitely recommend this. There are TONS of great stories. My only complaint is that you can’t scroll through the stories to find one you want, but honestly they’re all good so it’s fine.

I wasn’t truly expecting to be blown away by Shortly’s simplicity... It’s pure fun, going trough quite interesting texts, no visual pollution, and one simple purpose: light-hearted reading... Give it a try... You be as surprised as I was!

So good oh my god . If only Americans here could think of something like this
