Malfunctions

I made it to $1 million and then I went to renovate and rent out one of my properties. I had to evict one of the tenants and while I was waiting for the eviction to finish, the game erased my property and did not return my money. I then subsequently began buying more properties, renovating and renting and it erased those properties as if they didn’t exist and didn’t return the money. My $1 million turned into 250k. The game needs more functions and fix bug issues. Quit deleting my progress

Could be fun, but…

The game could be really fun, but…

it only gives you 4-5 houses to buy at a time and they are all at the same price which is around the same amount as a little more than you average house value. So you can’t build your cash up and then buy a bunch or cheap rental houses or have SOME kind of strategy to build your portfolio.

Evictions and emergencies happen way too frequently. You can’t set up a bunch of rentals and then go to bed, because when you wake up all of your properties will have had issues and all your cash flow is just gone.

There is NO way to build cash or gems without spending real money. Most games give you a daily way to earn more “money” by watching ads or something.

Need lotsa money

4 colors to choose from, managers need paid for each project with premium currency, have enough time to only complete 1 or 2 renovations on a place before 5 min is up and more time requires premium currency. No ad options to get premium currency. Boring, not creative, requires real money to get minimal entertainment. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Disappointed

I looked at this game and the reviews and it seemed like a great game. It started out okay...the directions were very sparse and just basically told you what things were. They don’t tell you you only have 5 minutes to fix the house once purchased and sell it. I also had the game freeze so I couldn’t do anything even after uninstalling then reinstalling. Once I figured out the timing, I was doing alright buying, fixing and selling but, then I left the game for a break after selling a house with a nice profit and when I went to play again, the game was at the same house I had just sold prior to leaving the game and asking me to sell it again for a much lower value. The game itself was glitching as it was zoomed all the way in to the roof with a sold sign on it. If you scrolled to the left, it showed the other houses sold and purchased prices but would show the house from far away then zoom right into the roof. Liked the game but too many glitches to deal with. Let me know when you’ve fixed it and I may try again. I love HGTV and this seemed so close. Please fix!!

House prices

The game is not fun as I cannot buy more than one home! Whenever I make a profit, the next home is about the same amount as what I have saved. I want to have multiple properties. Change up the prices! This is a game!

Fix this game!

Game bugs when selling house and won’t let me play. Stuck selling same house!!! Dumb bug had to get new account and this is second time it happen!!! Don’t waste ur time!!! Fix this!!!!!!!

Designed to rip you off?!?

Echoing what another person already stated. I downloaded on an older (but still supported) version of iOS. The game, like most games, has a tutorial (which you must follow); however, it kept locking up by not recognizing the choices I was making were the choices being demanded by the tutorial. The tutorial also has you burn through the starting 60 gems you are given. By the time you start playing you are roughly sitting at 15-20 gems left; however, each time you encounter a delay (i.e. rain, supplies, problems) you are prompted to either spend more gems (8 per problem) or face the loss of profits. This wouldn’t be bad if it weren’t for repeated delays on the same build. In one case, I had 3 rain delays back to back. The game only gives you 4 mins to complete a flip, and you can only earn gems by turning a profit. It almost seems as if the game was designed at such a high delay rate so as to force the purchase of gems just to play. Overall, graphics are good for the game, actual gameplay could be improved upon for more interactive play... but it is absolutely ridiculous how often you are prompted to use gems.

Obvious Problems

Rentals - There is no information on what to do with rental properties. If I don’t collect the money before the lease is up, the money just goes away? How long is 1 year vs. a 5 year in real time?

Selling - You get 5 minutes to fix up a house. If you choose to fix up more than one house at a time, toggling between them makes your highest offers go down. Why? Why isn’t there a running total of what I’ve put into a house (cost + upgrades) while I’m upgrading? The only way to see the actual amount spent is afterwards in the portfolio, unless it’s a rental. By the way, what is the number with the red/ green arrow in rental mode? Some explanation on this would be nice.

Gems - Multiple times, I bought 2 more minutes, it took the gems but didn’t give me any more time. You can buy special managers, but they cost gems. It would be nice to have a cash deal on these guys every once in a while, so I actually knew what real value they brought to a project before I spent real money on gems. Also, these managers come with an explanation if you tap them, but the “handyman” doesn’t. What does he do to cost twice as much?

This would be a fun game if there were some fixes. The lack of goals and house prices capping out at around $700k also makes gameplay boring after about 2 days. Short sales make game play a bit more interesting.

Getting stuck

I wish you could see previews of new upgrades in your place for example color changes before having to spend diamonds them. I wish there were a way Toto earn more diamonds. You spend a lot of time waiting and getting stuck unable to advance with repairs if there is a renter despite them demanding certain repairs be done. You get one open house. Sometimes you can't do anything with the house you can't advance or toggling the buttons does nothing.

Annoying and unhelpful

I honestly loved this game at first but as I got further into it I ran out of money and gems. The tutorial was annoying and didn’t help me at all. There aren’t a lot of ads but trust me it may seem like the perfect real estate game but it is a trap I do not recommend downloading this game.

Not sure what happened

I really liked this game. I purchased the 4.99 no add deal and I’ve made about 250k so far. I sold over 450 homes and purchased millions of dollars with the diamonds I made selling them; I was really getting into it. Then it was like game over. One day I logged in and it won’t let me access my rental properties anymore. Not sure what happened; reset my phone, reset FlippIt , check for updates etc. Still nothing has changed. I can buy houses and and remodel them but it won’t let me view them past fixing the house.! It’s showing I have rental properties in my icon, but I cannot access them.? Any help with this problem would be great. I like FlippIt and would continue playing it if I could continue on like before. Thank you!

Glitchy

The game has potential but it’s soooo glitchy! Ads freeze the game a lot and if that happens in the middle of a sale then you have to reload the game and you lose the ability to do repairs so you take a loss. Sometimes the buttons don’t work for repairs so you end up losing money. Sometimes if you try to reload during a glitch it buys houses with your money and then you have to sell them at a loss. I can’t figure out the rental feature, every time I’ve tried it if I go out of the game the rent is gone when I come back so it’s not like an idle game where it accumulates while you’re offline, you have to stay in the game to collect it and the amount of time it’s rented is arbitrary even though you have a “lease”. Every time I’ve tried to do multiple houses it glitches and freezes the game. There is an ad every time you load the game, buy a house, and sell a house so it’s a lot of ads! Plus every repair takes about 2-4 minutes and you can’t do more than one or get out of the game or else it will glitch or lose your progress so you just have to sit there and wait without anything else to do and that gets pretty boring. I think the developers need to put more time and thought into it

Flawed but fun

First of all, the game seems to have a function where it allows you to do a couple repairs then if you close the game and reopen it later you get a screen of offers that you have no choice but to accept one of the offers as there is literally no way to close that screen or reject all the offers. I wouldn’t dare dream of buying a 50k foreclosure and slapping a new coat of paint, patching the roof and trying to flip it for 60k... you’re leaving money on the table. At least fix this function where you can close that window or reject all those offers and go back to renovating. Same happens if I choose the rent option. About the best work around to this flaw that I’ve found is to immediately choose rent, do a couple repairs, wait for the tenants to break the lease(it WILL eventually happen) then choose rent again, a couple more repairs and wait for the broken lease again. It’s workable, but wholly unrealistic and ridiculous. Fun, but fundamentally broken.

Unable to update.

It’s a good game but since the update came out the game won’t allow you to play it or update in FlippIt Store. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Pretty good game design but major UX glitches

Pro: Frustrating at first but once I figured out that I can hire multiple contractors to work on properties at the same time, game became much more satisfying.

Cons: So many: 1) Multiple pop-ups that lay over each other and interrupt game play. They are annoying to navigate; 2) Pop-ups that notify you about weather or delivery delays navigate you to different homes, even if you’re in the middle of a transaction. That transaction now applies to a different home but there is no way of knowing because you are literally about to complete it. For example, you are buying work on Home B within a pop-up. Home A has a rain delay. You’re still in the pop-up but the background (greyed out) has transitioned back to Home A. You complete the purchase, only to find out it has been applied to Home A. Consequences: Home A is now going to need more time, Home A’s expenses have increased, Home A’s net value has decreased, Home B isn’t getting the upgrade, and you’re not aware of any of this; 3) The algorithm for when a weather or delivery delay occurs needs to be addressed. I constantly find myself in a situation where I have 20 seconds left on a house, just a few seconds left on the construction upgrades, and then a 1:45 delay pops up, requiring me to pay to end the delay. It happens frequently enough that I’m close to deleting the game.

Please fix these issues, especially with the pop-ups and home navigation.

It’s okay

I like this game overall but the entire gem system is frustrating, I wouldn’t mind slowly building up gems slowly but with how expensive managers are I’d appreciate them being permanent unlocks. Also several times I’ve bought new trees or paints and then I no longer had access to them with the next house which is, again, very frustrating considering how expensive everything is. It would also be nice if a paint purchase unlocked that color for everything and not just the specific part of the house you’re working on at that moment.

Great

I love this game. I first got it because I’ve been into the hone flips so I thought I would give it a try. When I first started I was really confused and started to get frustrated, but once I learned the game I really enjoyed it. I hate how there are lots of ads and you have to pay to get them removed. Almost every time I work on a home there’s always time that I have to use gems in order to continue my home. I overall love this game and have learned to kind of get addicted to it

Im loving it!

I’ve been playing this game from a long time now its really good for the people who loves houses and buying selling property this game gives me peace.

Marley

I love it
