Whether your career was cut short due to injury, being cut, or pursuing other passions, Playoff is for any athlete who competed after high school in a verified collegiate or professional program for at least one season (Junior College, NAIA, NCAA - all divisions, or professional and Olympic athletes who did not attend college).
They will also have option to purchase the premium version of the app for $7.99/month. The premium version will allow athletes to filter potential matches based on sports played and school attended.
Playing time or not, scholarship or not, Playoff understands and respects the commitment and sacrifice required from all athletes who have participated in a collegiate or professional organization.
After their profile is complete, athletes will immediately be able to start swiping through potential matches.
With Playoff, you can guarantee that each of your potential matches has a major life experience in common with you.
Collegiate and professional athletes have invested thousands of hours of hard work and practice into their sport(s).
Athletes will also be given unlimited "mulligans", which will allow them to revisit an athlete that they previously swiped through.
Athletes will be able to use the free version which will provide filters for age, gender and distance.

I’ve used this since it’s inception. At the outset it didn’t have many athletes but I knew the concept could work. Now it feels like any other dating app with volume and availability of “matches”. And as an athlete it provides me with people that have exactly the right pre-requisites(also being athletes). I've been looking for a dating app that is for athletes. So many other apps do not have the people I'm looking for. After easily setting up my profile in a few minutes, I was swiping away. I already have found a date in my first day using Playoff with a former National Champion!

Playoff itself is okay, you can’t switch around your photos which is slightly annoying but okay. There aren’t too many people on Playoff yet so I never matched with anyone, which is sort of discouraging. I have my distance set to 30 miles but it showed me people who were 110 miles away, and my age is set to 18-25 but I saw some 26 year olds. It’s an okay app, just needs more people to try it.

I love Playoff - it takes a second to set up but it’s totally worth it. It’s like a version of tinder that I am way more comfortable with. Not all guys are looking for athletic women, and it’s a breath of fresh air to use a platform where everyone you match with is not only OK with dating athletic women - but EXCITED to do so. So far Playoff has been great getting connected with other athletes. I like how you have to prove that your a legit Tahiti even be on the site. I’ve been on a few dates and hoping that it will grow in the future. It’s a great idea!

I like the concept of Playoff and haven’t seen anything like it before. Only complaint is that there aren’t a ton of people on Playoff . It mostly shows me people from 300+ miles away. Other than that, I like Playoff and think it’s great for athletes

Really love the concept of Playoff, very tough to find other athletes on other apps. However it has a way to go. Sometimes a bit glitchy and slow, and have to exit/restart Playoff in order to get to certain pages. The structure is there, but the ease of use isn’t.
Definitely worth the download, however still needs improvements.

The idea behind Playoff is such a great idea. There’s no other dating app like it. It’s extremely unique. As an athlete dating can be so hard to find someone that fits your lifestyle. This concept solves for this in a beautiful and easy to use app. Love it! 🙌🏾

The first week app worked then had major problems. Originally could swipe and read profiles, now nothing appears. Take anyone who will pay. The elitist structure of only open to ex college athletes is strange, guess they want trickle down economics? Playoff has problems working and bugs. Anytime I open nothing appears, no people, no messages, no par messages, nothing! Only people on app are those who work at company.

Hey Playoff is a good idea real cool in setting up the profile(sometimes buggy) but anyway I don’t get a single swipe all it says is tht servers aren’t working. Idk if that means it’s really not working or theirs nobody in my area. Seems impossible once I made it 75 mile range and still NOTHING!!. Thanks for wasting my time 😁.

Sent an email to my husband’s work email asking him to try out the dating app. I’d suggest not just sending that to random coaches work emails and people who played sports around the US unless you know for sure they are single.
